Ch 2: First Night In Minecraft

*Roar, groan, roar.*

The roaring sound of chows from all directions. Ned who has an axe in his right hand and a sword in his left looked around vigilantly. Because he knows their base is already surrounded by zombies.

*Roar.*

Suddenly Ned hears a roar from his left side. He quickly turn around and slashed with his sword.

*Damage Sound.*

A zombie who took damage takes a few steps back. Using this opportunity Ned kicked the zombie in the stomach and then hacked it on the head with an axe. In the real world, it's impossible for to Ned move so flexibly but this is in the game.

He knows that moves and things he couldn't do in real life is possible here. Hack from the axe pierced through the zombie's skull and ended its life. It turned into white smoke and drops a loot. Ned took the loot and reads its info.

"Rotten Meat? Well, I guess it's a zombie in the end." Ned looked back and saw three zombies are already gotten in. "Looks like I understatement you guys."

*Roar!*

One of the zombies' roars and rushes toward Ned. Ned quickly sidestepped its attack and kick it on the knee. Which resulted in half kneeling.

*Roar.*

Ned quickly did a reverse elbow attack which hit the zombie that attacked him from behind to take a step back. Ned then stabbed it with his sword and then hacked half kneeling zombie with his axe. Both of them died seeing this last remaining zombie rush towards Ned.

He rushed towards it too. It tried to do a right-hand hook but Ned dodged it by doing knee sliding then slashed its stomach with an axe.

*Damage Noise.*

Zombie kneel using this opportunity Ned jumped in the air and did a plunging attack using both an axe and sword.

*Dying Noise.*

The last zombie turns into white smoke. Currently, Ned is having a moment in his life. After escaping from that cave Ned learned this game isn't peaceful as it seems. So he tried a few moves he watched in movies. Don't know why but he just wanted to try it. And know what, it worked. He did things that he could never do in real life here.

So from then on his confidence in himself grew. And after defeating four zombies his confidence in himself grows even more.

*Roar.*

Ned turned around and saw another few zombies climbing over the wall. Ned smiled excitingly and clenches his sword and axe with all his might. Seeing Ned one zombie jump off the wall and rushes towards him.

Ned jumped up and kicks the wall using it to boost his jumping height even more. It can be also called a simple wall jump. Jump right above zombie Ned and slash its head off.

Then he stepped on another zombie's face then did a flying kick on other one. Landed on the ground safely then slashed another one on the stomach. Then he throws his axe at another one. Stabbed his sword at the head of a zombie he is stepping on then turn around and slashed the zombie he previously stepped on it. But sadly it dodged his attack.

Then the zombie kicked him in the face. Kick send him a few blocks away but he recovered from it quickly and took the axe he had thrown from a zombie's head and hacked again at it to finish it off completely. Looked at the zombie he was kicking with a fierce face.

*Boom!*

But Ned heard the sound of an explosion and saw the wall built now had a huge hole in it. "Oh boy." That was the only thing Ned could say.

*Roar!!!*

Dozens of zombies get inside using holes in the wall. Seeing that so many zombies are rushing towards him Ned panicked a little bit. He quickly took out a cobblestone block and placed it on the ground and creates a pillar made of stones. He never imagined something exploding on a wall. Was it a game glitch? Or something else?

*Swoosh.*

Ned heard something flying towards him while slicing the air. Ned used his sword to block. But even so, it almost made him lose his balance and fall.

Looked down at a hell-like scene where dozens of zombies tried to crawl toward him. They are climbing to him by stepping on themselves.

*Swoosh.*

He suddenly heard another attack coming to him and this time he saw it was an arrow. Ned used blocks to block it this time. And again used it to create a kind of platform. So zombies can't reach him easily.

After using blocks to create a wall to protect himself from sudden arrows he finally had a chance to have a sigh of relief. So he opened his in-game chat and send a message to Peter.

…

[Lord_Ned: Peter, are you there?]

[Spider_Boy: Yes, I am here. Are you okay Ned? Suddenly there are many zombies appeared from nowhere.]

[Lord_Ned: It's because the wall explodes and a big hole is created in it. I think zombies are not the only enemies there are. There might be other enemies.]

[Spider_Boy: I think you are right. I thought it was imagination but I guess it's not. When I am fighting zombies I heard the sound of spiders.]

[Lord_Ned: Then a hole in the wall was also created by the enemy whit explosion ability.]

[Spider_Boy: I think so too. By the way, where are you now? I am underground. About three to two blocks below surpass in two 4x4 block rooms? I don't know what to call this.]

[Lord_Ned: I am in the sky. I created a platform so zombies can't reach me also some enemies can shoot arrows.]

…

*Hss.*

Suddenly Ned heard a strange hissing sound. He quickly turn around and saw a giant blocky black spider looking at him with its eight red eyes. "Agh!" Ned screamed in horror and attacked with his sword but the spider was faster than him.

It dodged Ned's attack and landed behind him then jumped on him. And start biting Ned felt like his whole body is losing control and it was becoming harder and harder for to him move.

"D-damn it!" Ned took out the torch and placed front of himself. Then used all his might to roll the top on it.

*Hsss!!!*

With a strange, he hollers him go and gives Ned a chance to move again. He quickly took out his axe and hacked the spider to death. And it dropped its eye and silk.

After that Ned didn't let his guard down the whole night.

[Lord_Ned: Peter are you there?]

[Spider_Boy: Yeah. Did the sunrise?]

[Lord_Ned: Yeah, it's getting morning. You can come out now.]

…

New York. Unknown Apartment.

"*Yawn* man I never felt so refreshed after sleeping." Marcus after getting up from his bed walked towards his computer with a cup of coffee to see how many downloads Minecraft got. After all, it's been about 17 hours since it was uploaded.

"*Whistle.* 187 downloads are not bad. After all, it's just a game that appeared from nowhere so in the early stage it will be not so popular is a normal thing." Marcus muttered to himself while looking at footage of players.

Most of them didn't pass the first night without dying. Only 9 players passed the first night with zero death. Which are [Lord_Ned], [Spider_Boy], [Noobmaster_69], [Handsome_Dash], [Ezzy_LoL], [Ice_Cream_Boy], [Professor], [Hidden_Mutant], [Invincible_Cat].

Strange enough all of them were from New York. Two of them are from Midtown High, one of them from the Queens, another one from Hell's Kitchen, and the last few are all from the same place.

"Hmm, interesting. Are they who I think they are? If so I might hook a really big fish." Marcus smiled while looking at the names of the players.

"Anyway let's see how many points did I get."

[Game Points: 1500.69.]

"Hmm, it's just enough points for what I was planning. Buy me [Acting (Advanced)], [Voice Changing (Advanced)], [Close Combat (Advanced)]."

[-650 Game Points.]

"Also add [Monster Combat Data] to Minecraft mobs. It must be activated when the player reaches the seventh night in the game world."

[-500 Game Points.]

"Man, I have become broke again. Well, exchange 100 points for money I need to pay my rent after all."

[-100 Game Points]

"I don't know is there anyone who discovered little easter eggs I hide inside?" After muttering that Marcus heads toward the fridge for food. It's just he doesn't know someone doing right what he was thinking.

"Interesting. This game isn't just a random open-world simulator game. Don't you think so Clint?" The woman in Alex's skin spoke while looking at the paper in her hand.

"Well, it wasn't simple from the beginning, isn't it? After all this technology is too ahead of our time. By the way, what did you find Natasha? You were staring at that paper for the last few minutes." Clint said while looking at the paper curiously.

"Really interesting thing Clint. Very interesting thing."
