CHAPTER 20

Andrew standing on the rooftop of a building as he was watching down the road to see police cars going in and out.

The area was situated on the outskirts of Wichita.

Zavez's mother had bought this area and started to make this place to be the house for the workers in the Steel Factory.

She also built a mansion at the end of the road where she would say she stays along with her workers to create the best environment which was utter bullshit as Andrew knew her personality.

She never cares for anyone other than her and maybe a bit for her son as she has gone to certain lengths to fortify this whole area and even bought out cops and chances for Bounty Hunters to be here also increased.

As Andrew was contemplating his next step, the door to the roof opened and Andrew disappeared using Blink.

Four guards entered.

"All of us in each corner, and I want you all to be vigilant. The moment you see him shoot him down," one of them said to which the others nodded.

Andrew hid behind the back wall and he heard the guard talking.

He remained calm and waited as all four moved toward their positions.

Andrew was waiting for two of them who will come to his side.

As he saw them enter his field of vision, he used Domino and connected both of their minds.

He took his crossbow and lodged a sleep dart, aimed, and shot at one of them.

He knew they will lose consciousness.

He went after the one in the long-distance and carried him to the place he was hiding and did the same for the other.

As he placed the last guy down, he heard a guard's voice, "Sir, I see blood in that building,"

The other guard who was opposite him turned to see the guard pointing to the next building which was where Andrew was previously in.

Before he responded, he noticed two of his guards' missing alert and yelled.

"TWO DOWN!!"

The guard pointing to the building got alert and readied his rifle.

He said in sign language, "Back me up, I will go check."

The other guard nodded and walked.

Andrew used Blink and reached behind the guard in the distance and used Domino. He quickly used it again and connected their minds and he started to choke the one in front of him.

A muffled bullet sound rang out as the rifle had a silencer and the bullet pierced the ground.

One of the guards patrolling in the building Andrew was in heard that sound.

"Did you hear that?"

"What?" asked the one accompanying him as he was taking a puff from his cigarette.

"Someone shot, be alert it came from the rooftop. Four of them went to the rooftop, let's go," he said and both of them took their weapons in their hands and headed to the roof.

Andrew had knocked the other two and carried them and placed them along with the other two.

His Dark Vision was active and he saw two of them climbing the stairs to the roof.

'Two more, ah?'

Andrew used Blink and stood atop and waited for the door to open.

As the roof door opened, the first to come into sight was the rifle, and then emerged one of the guards followed by the other.

"You were right, no one is here. Alert the security fast."

Before the second guard could do that, a blade cut his head off.

The guard in front of him saw something roll down to his sight and as he turned to see what it was, he shook. Within a second, he was able to recollect himself and turned to see a Skeleton Mask staring right down at him.

Terror rose in him and he stood still as he watched a blade go through his heart and ended his life.

'No one will know for some time that something is wrong.'

Andrew was right he got himself sometime before one of the guards inform the Security team.

Andrew did the same with two bodies and went to the opposite building as he felt the heartbeat more in that direction.

He reached the next building.

He looked down to see a Rune near the window of a room in the building.

It was a room that had fire escape stairs attached to it and it was easy for Andrew to get there.

He quickly got to the room and the window was closed and he was unable to open it.

'Should I break it?' thought Andrew.

He used Dark Vision and saw no one in the house but he saw three people in the adjacent house.

'They will be alerted the moment I break the glass. If I use the hidden blade maybe I can make a circle near the lock and open it.'

That was fool thought as the moment he used the hidden blade the complete glass shattered with a sound.

As he thought the three in the adjacent house heard the sound and acted nervous as he could see from their moments.

Andrew quickly got the Rune and used Blink above and climbed the roof.

One of them in the adjacent house opened the window and peeked out and saw that there was no one which calmed him down thinking it was a crow or something that might have crashed and taken off. He did not see the broken glass on the stairs. He went back to continue the movie he was watching with his friends.

Andrew seeing this sighed in relief.

He quickly moved to the next building. There was no one there on the rooftop of the building.

From there he could see the mansion fully.

It was medium in size, not big but enough for someone to live like a King.

There was Security Check Gate and 100 meters from there was a fountain in the center of a circular path for vehicles to drive. The whole mansion had its light on and this showed a beautiful picture from a distance. He could see many vehicles parked at the right of the mansion.

The mansion spans meters in width and length.

There were many guards out there and Andrew could see the difficulty he will have in entering the mansion if he did not have his powers. But with it, it will lessen the difficulty.

'All the guards are alert due to the alarm,' he sighed seeing the guards in the distance.

Andrew took the heart to check if there are any Runes available and the speed at which it beats let Andrew there were few more.

'The Heartbeat is also pointing towards the mansion now and I feel like there are multiple runes available inside the mansion. Should I go to the edge of the wall and use Blink to enter or are there any other ways to enter?'

He waited for a few minutes to see if there are any other ways to enter the mansion or not.

He saw that the Guards enter the mansion differently every 5 minutes.

'Should I use that or should I go through the windows?'

As he was contemplating, he saw big light suddenly pop out of nowhere.

He dug down the moment it happened.

'What is going on?'

He peeked to see what was going on and saw the light slowly move in a semi-circle.

'Things got more difficult. Now I have to move carefully and stick to the shadows of walls, trees, or anything that can cover me and get to the mansion.'

As Andrew was planning to move forward, meanwhile inside the mansion a man was in a panic.

"You don't understand, the guy is a monster. The speed at which he moves and fights is not something that I can cope with and these guards are not even an equal to me. We should leave via the helicopter at the back, mother." This man was none other than Zavez.

A woman in luxurious clothing stood next to him and said, "Are you going to keep running from him forever? Or are you going to end it today and be free tomorrow? I know my son is not a coward and will stand and see to the end of what he has started."

Zavez who heard what his mother said knew she was right. He can't just keep running from Andrew and remembering the conversation on the phone he had with Andrew and him calling him a coward just made his anger rise more.

'I now have everything I ever wanted and I am not going to let that fucking asshole make it disappear.'

Zavez resolved to live but he felt a blade behind his neck every day as if waiting for someone to come and rip his head off.

"We have around 150 Guards and other than that all the workers here are bounty hunters and they will be alert. I spent a lot of money on this so don't worry he will die today."

Zavez sighed hearing his mother.

"I hope so," he uttered silently in his heart.

As they were talking, a knock could be heard from the door.

"Come in," said his mother.

"Mam, Sir, all the guests have arrived and are waiting for you," the maid bowed and said.

"Alright, let's go, we have a party to attend," said his mother.

Zavez and his mother went to attend the party thinking they will be able to make more deals and earn money but they didn't know today is the day they perish.
