With all the things happening with his current life, Arthur found himself becoming extremely busy.

If he was not protecting Dr. Erskine on his errands, then he would be studying under his guidance and even that would be disturbed when Carter whisked him away for work.

This 'Lindsey' that he caught was apparently more than just a normal spy holding an influential position. How you ask? Simply because he knew too much. No other 'spy' would have sacrificed their comrades since they would not even know of them! Maybe this one had been in power for too long and wanted to live and wait for Hydra to rescue him. Pity him, Hydra never spared traitors.

Only thing is, that our MC Arthur has become more depressed. The excitement of being undercover and hunting down spies lasted a few days, but soon enough, his days became monotonous. He was repeating the same things everyday and since the list they got from Lindsey was limited, that too was bound to end. And eventually, he would be stuck with Erskine studying under his nose since he was such a 'genius' and needed to be guided properly. He could not even buy new books and use the system without appearing suspicious to whoever was paying attention.

Not to mention, every time Carter had planned for him to besiege someone, it would be under the darkness of the night. And the result? He barely got three hours of sleep.

-Fuck! That woman messed up my beauty sleep! Hehe, I'll mess up her sleep too, lets see who comes out as a panda first-

Today was different. All the high-risk enemies had been captured and taken in. He was specifically asked to be 'more vigilant' these days. Arthur definitely knew what to expect when they went out today. And as expected, the future Captain America was waiting with other privates in attention. All the candidates were here. Even though Dr Erskine was dead set on Steve, it was still unclear whether the military approved of it.

Colonel Phillips himself came forward to give them all a few encouraging words as well as tell them that this would be their final week in the camp. This invigorated the men, encouraged them, and implicitly mentioned that the candidate may have already been selected.

And that's where Arthur's plan to give himself some free time crashed. Since he was a genius in marksmanship and even proved himself through various siege operations, the military decided that who better could guide the future privates than him, especially when they were the ones who gave him free time.

However, did anyone ask where Arthur learnt his skills from? Did he know how to teach? Nope. No one asked them and no one was even bothered to. But Art was bothered. He was extremely bothered by the tens of eyes following his every move.

So he did what he could. Demonstrate his skills. He shot rounds after rounds with not one shot missing. He wrestled and defeated the privates on the context of 'teaching' them. He even mentioned how to take care of their guns and usage of knives. Everything he got from the system, he exposed his skills and got respected for literally bashing them thoroughly. New place, new culture.

These days were not so bad for our hero either. Every day he could sneak off and find a few unusable guns, destroyed clothes and even a few books. With each use of the system, the amount of 'fragmented energy' in his body increased. He went from not being able to sense them to now occasionally feeling something moving in his body.

Of course, he could only sense them when he was absorbing a new energy spark and agitated his own pool of energy. He clearly had a long way to go. It was, however, disappointing to notice that this energy did not increase his speed nor his strength or his stamina. As of now the only thing this energy was capable of was just flowing through his body.

These days were busy but also safe for him. Something rare for Arthur ever since he had come to this world. Helping the doctor shift through documents or just strolling through the camp took up most of his days.

The recruits just practiced as they were taught by their instructors. Arthur trailed behind them as a co-instructor and shamelessly mooching off the class. These were the candidates for Super Soldier Program and their classes were very extensive. Including usage of a variety of hot weapons, handling of cold weapons, detection, anti-reconnaissance and other tactics and even teaching them how to operate various heavy machinery, vehicles and aircrafts. Even if these people could not fly them as fluidly as a proper pilot, they could at least take control of their aircraft and nor crash it.

Super Soldiers needed to be 'super' in everything. It reminded Arthur of his childhood, where he was expected to get 165 points out of an exam worth 150 points. Fortunately for Arthur, these were also the things he lacked proper training in, so he could just become a sparring partner and gain experience manually. Steal some books on vehicles for experience and even some case files to supplement his knowledge.

Meanwhile, he was also observing and encouraging Steve in all these exercises. No matter how many times he failed, he stood up and persisted until he completed his task. This was an admirable trait that shone among others.

"But I still think... he is not as good as you.", Carter whispered, standing near Arthur.

"You are blind then, Miss Carter.", he laughed.
