Chapter 7 : New Mission

As you all know I have decided to change the story a little bit from Mark building a new mech to him exploring the universe, so for that to happen quickly I will implement a big-time skip and the MC will create a mech and sell them in the market, but there will be no detailed explanation. Because it won't affect the story in any way (I'm a little lazy too sorry.)

Chapter 7 : New Mission

Time Skip Three years

It's been three years since Mark established Omega. He had designed many mechs, his mechs were well-received in the market.

Currently Mark is having a meeting with his company partners about their next initiatives and plans for the future.

In the past 3 years, his company has introduced many changes to Taxora by donating and conducting charity events supporting the planet. Now there is 24x7 security for the planet done by the planetary guards with the help of Omega corporations who provide free services and quality checks for the mech piloted by the planetary guards.

The citizens living in Taxore have been very cooperative with the company and Mark did not face any resistance like Ves faced when he ran a company in Cloudy Curtain. As the 3 Friends/Partners were sitting and discussing about their future plans Mark decided to make an announcement.

"I have decided to go for an exploration trip, I have received information about a planet with an unusual amount of radiation coming out of it. I think there will be some materials or special particles which could be mined and done experiments on this could help us in coming years".

"Where is the exact location of this planet ?" Alex asked.

"I have sent the locations to your comms, I will depart soon there will be many organizations eyeing the resources. So I will make this my top priority". Mark replied.

"What about the team who are you bringing with you?" Johnny asked.

"I will be taking Team Zero the full batch, I will need protection from them all in this expedition".

Team Zero is a special combat team consisting of melee fighters and pilots hand-picked by Mark himself and installed additional chips and accessories to improve their combat capabilities.

"Team Zero well you did recruit them it's a logical choice you should bring the once you could trust. When are you leaving?" Alex asked.

"I will set out tomorrow I can't waste time any longer". Mark replied.

After discussing some other matters concerning the company they ended the meeting and went back to their quarters.

In Mark's Basement

"Well, it looks like there gonna be a lot of commotion this time isn't it right Joe?" Mark asked his droid.

"Yes Master Mark according to my analysis there will be many factions who will be interested in acquiring the resources from the planet" the droid K-2SO replied.

Mark had bought this droid as an assistant in his office from the system but to the public and his friends, he manufactured this droid. As a result, he had to sell this droid in the market because of its popularity with the upper-class society. Of course, he had actually manufactured the droid and installed a less powerful artificial intelligence for its assistance. This droid is also well received in the market by its customers and many shops and hotels have placed them as receptionist in the lobby and front desk as an attraction.

"Sam, how's the preparations for the expedition?" Mark asked.

"The spaceship and its crew is on standby by and Team Zero is checking the weapons and mech for the last time before the departure". K-2SO replied.

"Inform the combat team to report in my office is 2 hours and make sure every member is present, notify me when they arrive." Mark gave the droid the orders and went into his quarters.

Inside Marks Quarters

Mark was looking at the system window and staring at the points he had left.

'sigh there is only 58,000 points left the system hasn't issued any new missions lately but lucky for me I this expedition will give me the needed points for me to purchase the item he had in his mind.

Star Forge (Stage One) : 5,00,000 points

Yep, Mark is planning to purchase the Star Forge so that he can manufacture battleships and droids to help him in his future plan which is ruling as many planets as possible.

Mark was finishing some notes when K-2SO notified him that his combat team had arrived in his office.

Inside Mark's Office

Mark is sitting behind his desk and in front of him is his 8 members of combat Team Zero.

"Jaime, what's the status of the expedition?" Mark asked to the team captain.

"The preparations are complete sir everything is on standby sir" Jaime replied.

"Be sure to carry weapons and ammunitions in the ship there will be situations where a confrontation is required" Mark reminded his Team.

"As for now take some time off and be prepared for tomorrow, our expedition will last at least 5 months" After saying that the team was dispersed.

About the Star Forge I know I went a little overboared but hear me out, the MC could only buy the star forge at the latter part of the story and it will be stage one which means the ships and droids that it will have is of first stage.

It basically means the MC will not be an overpowered dude.

Please note MC cannot summon servants through the system. That would cause the novel to go down fast.
