It Was Better To Be Killed Rather Than Being Divorced

"You sure you don't want to be here when she wakes up?" Jun Ki asked while looking desperately at Yu Shik.

After Ae Ra had collapsed, Yu Shik's uncle had called him and they took her to the hospital. Now, she was resting in the hospital room. Surely, the truth made her to take a lot of stress... Afraid that Ae Ra wouldn't like to see her father's murderer standing in front of her, he had called Seo Young and Jun Ki to look after her.

It was hard to leave her and go but for the time being until she was bought back home, he decided that it was better for him to not stay with her. He was so happy when he heard the doctor say that Ae Ra was 2 weeks pregnant he couldn't control himself... He had started crying tears of joy. He was happy to be a father.

But upon thinking of her, he decided to go. Until she was bought back home, he decided to stay out of her sight and look at her from afar.

Yu Shik gave a nod and said "It will be better for her. This way she can recover quickly."

"Recover?..." Seo Young asked surprised. "You think she will recover if you are not around when you were the one who recovered her?" Her tone became loud and harsh as she looked at Yu Shik with piercing daggers.

"I think she will..." Yu Shik looked at Ae Ra and gave a smile. He was happy to just see her breathing evenly.

"Fine... If that is what you want! So, LEAVE NOW!" Seo Young screamed at him, telling him to go. She pushed him out of the room. "If you don't want to stay then you better leave quickly."

Jun Ki couldn't say anything. It was his friend's decision...So, he felt alright.

"What's going on?" A weak stuttering voice came from behind Seo Young. Yu Shik stopped right in his tracks to see Ae Ra wide awake with her body lying on the bed. Seo Young and Jun Ki turned around to look at Ae Ra.

"I think I screamed way too loud." Seo Young muttered and walked closer to Ae Ra. "How are you feeling now? You alright? Do you want me to call the doctor?" Upon seeing Ae Ra's pale condition, Seo Young started asking her many questions.

Nevertheless, Ae Ra just gave a nod and kept her eyes stuck on Yu Shik. Her eyes displayed mixed emotions and she herself didn't know how she was feeling. She remembered what the old man at the shop told her - "Yu Shik loves you... He loves you more than anything and he still does. He has devoted all his life to you!" Unexpectedly, a chuckle escaped her mouth.

Jun Ki and Seo Young both looked at her in surprise. "What is wrong? Why are you laughing?" Seo Young asked while helping her sit up.

Ae Ra shook her head and suppressed her laughter. She then looked at Seo Young and Jun Ki "Can you excuse us for a moment? I would like to talk to him..."

"Huh?" Seo Young and Jun Ki looked at one another in a daze. Then, they again heard Ae Ra speak "I want to talk with Yu Shik in private." Understanding what it meant, they gave a nod and walked out of the room.

"I wonder how things will work out..." Seo Young heaved a sigh, muttered and walked out of the room with Jun Ki behind her.

"Yeah! I too don't know. But I just hope that she forgives him and move on.." Jun Ki said his actual opinion.

"Forgive him? He killed..." As Seo Young started to speak, Jun Ki held her hand and dragged her to a quiet place. Talking in a hospital about murder and stuff, it would actually put you in trouble...

After bringing her to a quieter place, Jun Ki said "I know he killed her father! But he also loves her as much as he hated her father."

"You mean he is ready to kill her too?"

"Of course not. What I mean to say is that he loves her as much as she loves him.."

Jun Ki looked straight up towards the sun which was going down. It made the whole sky orange and beautiful like a landscape. With a smile on his face, he said "If Ae Ra was never with this guy, he wouldn't have changed this much."

Not knowing what it meant, Seo Young just hummed.

Meanwhile, Ae Ra kept on staring at Yu Shik as he stood near the entrance of the door. He couldn't handle her killer stares anymore. He knew what they were for but he just pretended as if he didn't knew.

With a chuckle, he asked "Why are you staring at me like that? Is something wrong with my face? Or you haven't seen such a handsome face in a while huh?" He took out his phone and acted as if he was looking at himself in the camera. Combing his hair with his hands he let out a sheepish smile "Hehe! I surely look good."

"Let us finish this." As Ae Ra saw him acting as if nothing happened, she got more angry. And those words came out of her mouth one by one. She saw him looking at her questioningly and so, she again continued "Let us take a divorce."

"What?" Yu Shik started to lose himself as he heard her. He was expecting of her hitting him, of her getting angry with her and he had even expected that he would also be killed but this divorce... this divorce was completely unexpected.

It was just unexpected because all this while he was happy thinking that if he was gonna be killed by her at least they would still be married and he would still be wearing the ring. But a divorce was totally unexpected. He believed that it would have been better if she had killed him rather than being separated.

Moreover, she was pregnant... He couldn't make her go through the hardship alone. He didn't wanted her to. As he was completely losing himself thinking as to why this scene popped out, he saw her walking towards him...
