Can I Be That Perfect Husband?

"(Cough) (cough) A CEO??" Yu Qi looked baffled. That simple reply of Min Jae choked her so badly that her whole face turned red and she started coughing. She took another sip and still couldn't tolerate it. Spitting the water, she coughed again. After a few more coughs, she calmed down.

Min Jae asked looking at her worried "You good now??"

Seeing her nod, he asked pouting "What was the problem that you ended up coughing?? That too this bad huh??" He picked another strawberry and put it in his mouth. Chewing it, he waited for her to answer.

"You are asking me this?? I mean, anyone would choke like that, if they get to know that a young man like you is a CEO." Yu Qi said while patting on her chest. "Ahh!! Glad I'm good."

"Can I not be a CEO??" Min Jae asked with a questionable look on his face. He had that kind of look which said 'Do you think I'm not able to be a CEO??'

Yu Qi waved her hand. "No, No. It's not like that. I mean you are young, mostly people become CEO's in their mid-thirties or forties. You are not in your mid-thirties nor your forties."

Hearing her reply, he smirked. With a smile on his face, he said "You should be glad that you married a young CEO." Ignoring his smile, Yu Qi asked "And why should I be??"

"Because you will have everything that you need. Luxurious cars, wonderful houses, servants, branded clothes, accessories and lastly a perfect husband and children." After finishing his sentence, he smiled even wider imagining his afterlife with her.

Yu Qi felt speechless hearing him. The luxurious cars and stuffs, she didn't needed that but, a perfect husband and children, that was the thing which she needed in her life.

Hearing him include those two aspects made her speechless. She just stood there looking at the man who said those words. She didn't know what to say or how to say. She just looked at him with a speechless look.

"Looks like you don't need such a life??" Min Jae asked when he didn't hear anything from her.

"Of course I need a life of that sort. I really need it. Other than the last two..." Yu Qi stopped and looked down shyly. "Other than the last two, what??" Min Jae asked her.

"Other than the last two I don't need anything else in my life." Yu Qi said it and hid her face in embarrassment.

"Please don't look at me, It's embarrassing !!" She said while covering her face.

Min Jae moved a little closer to her and removed her hands from her face. Yu Qi again bought her hands back to her face and peeked at him through the space between her fingers. Min Jae got annoyed seeing this. He asked in an annoyed tone "Why do you have to hide your face??"

"Because it's embarrassing." She said through her covered hands.

"Then how will I see your beautiful face when you got it covered??" He asked removing her hands from her face for the last time.

This question made Yu Qi bewildered. She looked at him blankly. Holding her small round face in his big palms, he asked in a sweet voice "Can I be that perfect husband which you need??"

Yu Qi looked all surprised. Feeling his warm hands on her face, she felt good. Her heart started racing faster than ever and she felt lively from inside. She felt that her heart was in between her throat beating frantically.

"I don't need your answer now. You can take your time and say it to me. I'll calmly wait for your answer." He said and lightly kissed on her forehead. Yu Qi looked at him in his eyes. She had seen him in his eyes for a few times, but today she was able to notice that his eyes held different emotions in them.

She couldn't describe what emotion it was, but from the looks of it, she felt that it was something of hurt, sorrow or regret. She wanted to ask him, to know about the mixed emotion in his eyes, but the fact that she didn't answer to his question made her feel awkward to ask.

Min Jae looked at the window from the bed. The sky was dark. Seeing that, he said "Time really flies quickly when you talk with the one you love."

Yu Qi gave a nod. "Yeah!! I... I guess too!!" She also looked at the window and suddenly she remembered something.

Jumping out of the bed, she said "Oh No!!"

"What's wrong??" Min Jae asked worried.

"It was our marriage ceremony today." Yu Qi looked down thinking about her parents. She had yelled and gotten angry on her mother for keeping on calling and asking about the time when they would be arriving.

Her parents had thought of so much for her grand wedding ceremony. Now that she thought about it, she realized she messed up.

Seeing her gloomy face, Min Jae said "Don't worry, I have told your parents that we will hold the marriage ceremony after two weeks."

"But." Yu Qi felt uneasy thinking about her family members dream shattering. They had looked so much for this day and this is what their precious daughter did. Holding her by her wrist, he pulled her. "It's okay. Everything is fine. Your parents are good too. Tomorrow, I'll take you to your house, okay?? You can meet them and have a good chat. Alright?"

The sad and gloomy face of Yu Qi was long gone as she heard Min Jae say that he would be taking her to her parents house. She asked back in excitement "Really?? You will take me??"

Giving a nod, Min Jae replied "Yes. I will. It's a promise." He held her hand and straightened her pinky finger. Bringing his pinky finger to hers, he joined them together and said "It's a promise!!"

Yu Qi gave a big smile and said "Thank you!!

Thank you so much!!" She was so excited, that in excitement, she placed a kiss on his cheek.

Realizing what she did, she turned around with her cheeks flushed red.

Min Jae teased her by saying "You don't have to be shy, you already kissed me on my lips, kissing on the cheek is a normal thing."

Hearing this Yu Qi felt even more shy. She felt her cheeks turning hot. Out of the blue, Min Jae held her and asked "Can we sleep together tonight??"
