A Small Gift To Show My Gratitude

The next morning, Ae Ra went to work. Her co workers greeted her and she went to her secretary's room to talk with Seo Young. Ae Ra was still surprised to notice that she hadn't responded to her messages till now.

As she opened the room, she saw that the room was empty. She entered inside and looked around. "Seo Young, You there?" But there was no reply.

She took out her phone and called.

"Where is this sound coming from?" She asked to herself as she heard a faint sound of a mobile ringtone coming towards her left. She cautiously approached towards her left. "Seo Young? You there?"

Just as she walking, the door behind her opened. It was Seo Young.

"Ahh! You startled me." Ae Ra said as she jumped up in fright. "Why is your phone ringing over there, when you just arrived now?"

"I forgot my phone last night." Seo Young said and walked left to pick up her phone. She opened it and displayed a shocked expression on her face. "What is with these many missed calls?" She asked and cleared her call history. Too many missed calls thing would bother her, a lot.

"A friend..." Seo Young said with a dark expression on her face.

"What?" Ae Ra looked at Seo Young with a surprised reaction. "What friend?" She asked to make her question clear.

"Yoon Jun Ki is your fiancé's best friend." Seo Young was hesitating for a while to say it or not. But when she actually gathered all the courage to speak and said it, she thought that her boss will have a surprised or baffled expression, but seeing her expressionless face, Seo Young doubted on herself.

"I know that already." Ae Ra said and turned around. She walked towards the door and opened. "You have anything else to say?" She asked Seo Young again with some sort of uneasiness in her eyes. She stood at the doorway and turned to look at her.

Seo Young shook her head and she walked away to her room with a smile.

At first, Ae Ra had thought that there might be something which she doesn't know about Yu Shik. But when she saw him taking care of her like no other guy, she realized that there was nothing that she had to know. Because she always felt that Yu Shik was like an open book, You see his eyes and you know what his emotions are...

He was never good at hiding things... Or so a person like Ae Ra who had spent 12 years with this man felt like that.

She sat on her chair relieved. She opened her computer to do her work, when her eyes fell on the date and time situated at the bottom right corner of the computer.

"It is 4 October?" Now that she saw the date, she remembered what Yu Shik asked her last night.

Periods. Ahh. Yes, it was her time to crumble and get mood swings again.

"This guy remembers my date too." She chuckled as she thought of his question. "Are you on your periods?"

HaHaHa!!

Since, Ae Ra was going to get married, Seo Young had taken all her work and she was left with nothing to do. She got up and opened her door to walk out of the room when she suddenly collided with something hard. She was wearing high heels and due to the forceful collision, she paced backwards, and her leg slipped.

She closed her eyes to stop feeling the pain of falling on the floor. But....

'Why did I not fall yet?' She thought in her mind and opened her eyes only to see herself in Jun Ki's arms. Her eyes got caught with his golden brown eyes and her heart skipped a beat. He was handsome and alluring...

Realizing what she was doing, she immediately straightened herself and stood away from him. She cleared her throat and asked "W...what are you d...doing ov...over here ?" A little stammer was possible for a woman who had just fallen in the arms of a handsome man.

"I bought you a present." Jun Ki held the small pink bag high such that Ae Ra could see it.

Ae Ra looked at him with a questioning look.

He understood what it meant and he explained "I bought this present for my would-be-sister-in-law. I don't know what she likes, but I hope she will like the present which I bought for her. It is a small courtesy from me, for you to accept my only friend, Yu Shik as your husband." He explained with a slight blush on his cheeks.

Ae Ra waved her hands and politely refused. "I really can't accept this gift, Mr. Yoon. I am already happy to make Yu Shik as my husband forever, you don't need to do such a thing for me. Thank you very much!"

However, Jun Ki didn't stop. He forced her until she took the gift and before she could open it, he left. Ae Ra looked at him with a dumbfounded expression. "I really can't believe a man like him is the CEO of KGH Enterprises."

She looked at the small box kept inside the pink bag. She looked at the time on the round wall clock, it was time for her to leave.... However, curiosity crept her and she sat on the sofa and took out the box from inside the pink bag.

The box was lovely actually. It smelled like jasmine. She opened the box and a locket came in her view. It was a custom made locket since, it had her name and Yu Shik's name written on it. It was written in golden letters - YuRa...

She smiled as she saw the name... "I never thought about such a name. How sweet of Mr. Yoon to have thought of such a beautiful name for the two of us. Ahh, I can't wait to show it to him." She excitedly tapped her legs and wore the locket. The white chain looked enchanting on her fair and slim neck.

Meanwhile, Jun Ki entered his Black SUV. He loosened his tie and grunted. "Ahh man, You should go by yourself to give her gifts. Why make me go and deliver gifts?"

Yu Shik chuckled and said "Because if I keep on giving gifts, she would shout at me for buying such expensive ones."

"Idiot!" Jun Ki ran his hand through his hair in annoyance.
