Preperation

"And that is how my father was the key factor in me becoming the person I am today."

"..."

Laurie was more confused then anything.

The teen that she thought was just as terrifying as 'Him' had just got done explaining the most confusing and convoluted family tree and backstory she had ever heard. There was just so many random things that he said. Deep down she knew that it was all just a bunch of bullshit, but surprisingly it was very interesting to listen to.

"That was a load of bullshit, and you know it."

Cocking her pistol, she was ready blow the teens head off. But she stopped when the teen started to start talking again.

"Oh yeah I know it was a load of crap."

Giving a cheeky smile, the teen suddenly looked down at the ground. Laurie felt something was terribly wrong but she didn't know what the teen was about to do.

"You should really pay attention more, ya'know?"

Before she could react, the teen suddenly swung around and sweeped her legs out. Using her unbalance, he shoulder tackled her to the ground, forcing the pistol in her hand to fly away from her grasp. Before she could even try to reach for her pistol, the teen as if teleporting, was already in front of her and kicked the pistol away. Ripping the restraints off of his wrists, the teen looked down at her with a cheeky smile.

"See...gotta pay attention more."

POV change:

"And that is how my father was the key factor in me becoming the person I am today."

After spouting roughly 15 minutes about some bullshit backstory for me, I ran out of things to bullshit about.

"That was a load of bullshit, and you know it."

Laurie cocked back her pistol and aimed it back at my head. Panic flowed through my mind but I didn't show any on my face.

'Shit! I need to do something or else I'm gonna be for real dead!'

I needed something!

Anything!

I don't want to die here!

{System reset is complete!}

{The reward will be given now.}

'!'

Ha.

HAHAHA!

I'm a miracle maker!

{New skill obtained: CQC Lvl. 1}

{CQC:

CQC (Close Quarter Combat), is a modern and realistic self-defense system that combines many different martial arts, military and police tactics. It is the ability to where in a certain range is given, in which you can quickly and efficiently get to someone and attack them, through the use of speed and striking weakspots. At Lvl. 1 that range is only at 1 meter, and constant usage of CQC is needed to further level it up.}

Huh, that's fucking useful for me right now.

Time to use CQC!

"Oh yeah I know it was a load of crap."

Giving Laurie a smile I lowered my head down. I didn't really know how to activate it, so I kinda just thought of it.

'CQC uh, activate!'

A red circle suddenly surrounded me and Laurie at our feet, only extending out a little bit.

I saw a big red glowing dot on her calf muscle, and I suddenly knew what I had to do.

Before Laurie could pull the trigger, I swung my body around and kicked at her calf muscles, forcing her to unbalance. I jumped up and using her unbalance, I shoulder tackled her to the ground, forcing the pistol in her hand to fly away from her grasp. Before she could even try to reach for her pistol, I moved as fast as possible to get in front of her. From here I casully kicked the pistol away. Ripping the restraints off of from my wrists I looked down at her with my same old smile.

"See...gotta pay attention more."

Jesus.

That could have gone south real quick.

I was breathing heavy, using CQC was rough on me. I wasn't acustomed to it and I could tell my body was fit to use it in rapid succesion. Wiping the sweat off my forehead, I turned to look at Laurie who was scrambling to get up.

Walking past her, I picked up her pistol and started to mess around with it. The John wick preset was telling me how to effectively use the pistol, like how to shoot the most efficiently with it. I started to spin it around my finger and get into action poses with the pistol in my hand, I felt like Clint Eastwood for some reason.

Laurie was staring at me in confusion, which makes sense from her perspective. Walking over to her, I spun the pistol to where the handle was facing her.

"Here you go, sorry for knocking you down."

"Just got scared at the fact that you were going to shoot me ya'know?"

Laurie stared at the pistol before looking at me. A bit of shame flashed past her eyes as she put the pistol in her Jacket pocket. She gave me a hard look.

"I don't know what your intentions are or even who you are. But..."

Her hard look softened up just a bit, I was barely able to notice it.

"You don't look like a bad kid, even though you have that same feeling as 'Him'"

I gave her a more geniune smile this time, I wished the movies explored more of Lauries characters but hey, what do you really expect from a slasher film?

"Well I actually followed you from the service station."

Lauries looked very confused when I said that.

"So you were the weirdo that was running down the sidewalk in a suit?"

Weirdo?

That hurt.

"Well I saw you at the service station and needed to ask you something very important."

Her eyes narrowed at me, she was trying to figure out what I meant by all of this.

Time for my plan to start.

"I need your help Ms. Laurie, I need your help to finally kill Micheal Myers."

Laurie looked at me with pure shock, her hands even shivering just a tiny bit.

My entire point of finding Laurie was to get her help. I know that she has a plethora of weapons and ammo at her house, all that would help me hunt down and kill Micheal. Thank god I was lucky enough to find her at her daughters house.

"My parents were killed by that monster when I was younger. That event scarred me for life, and I've dedicated my entire life to kill him."

"I barely went to school, sacrifced my entire social life and my future, all to kill Micheal."

I told all of this to her in my most pitiful and sad voice I could muster. And I guessed it worked as Laurie stared at me in shock when I told her.

Of course it was all fake, I just needed a sob story to make her feel bad for me and help me out.

"I've been preparing for 12 long years and finally the day has come."

"..."

I looked away melancholicly, a look of regret on my face for all that time I wasted on preparing.

I needed maximum sob story vibes to hit her.

Laurie stared at me with pity. A kid was this deeply affected by 'Him' that he dedicated his life to kill 'Him', also sacrificing everything to prepare. Just like her.

"So I came here when news of Micheal escaping his bus hit the news, I came her with 2 things in mind."

"Find Laurie Strode for help and to kill Micheal Myers. And I wouldn't stop until the latter was fufilled."

I gave a colder look towards Laurie, as she started talking as well.

"You've been through a lot kid."

Wow, wasn't expecting something like that from her.

I let a fake tear fall that I quickly wiped away.

"Heh, you could only imagine. But you've been through it to, I could tell with your family."

It was Laurie's turn to look dejected.

Perfect.

"I did everything I could to prepare Karen, prepare her for when Micheal comes back. I did what I had to do to become the best teacher for her. I made her go through a lot of stuff, and eventually she got good. She was a good student and I was proud to be the teacher."

"But down the line I forgot to be something else, a mother. I lost her to the child protection services, and that's been my greatest regret ever since."

Damn.

I felt really bad for her. She did her best to prepare Karen but she wasn't able to be a good mother due to her trauma. Shit was deep.

Laurie looked at me with a calm look.

"But I'll never regret what I taught her. She needed to know that, that's what needed to survive in this town."

"...guess we in the same boat then huh?"

"Guess so..."

We both stared at the sunset in the distance.

"What do you need?"

Still staring at the sunset, Laurie started to talk again.

"I need your help to kill Micheal, whatever you can provide will be a massive help."

"I've encountered Micheal before and he is a monster, took multiple bullets and stabs without a sweat."

But Laurie didn't even break a sweat after I told her this.

"Well that's because you didn't have the proper firepower then. But that's good, you have experience against him."

Laurie walked inside of her, and I quickly followed her. As I entered, I could only describe the house as messy.

Incredibly messy.

Unwashed dishes, empty Chinese takeout, guns everywhere, etc.

It looked like a tornado came in and personally wrecked the house. Laurie walked over to a table and threw me a big object.

"Take this."

"Oh wow!"

What I held in my hands is something that everyone thought of holding once in their life.

A shotgun.

The John Wick preset told me how to use the shot gun effectively. I held the shotgun in a multiple different positions, the gun suddenly feeling familiar to me as if it was a old friend of mine.

Laurie was quickly gathering as many knives and pistols she could fine onto the table.

"How many of these can you carry?"

Picking up a pistol she handed it to me.

"About 2 more and if you are generous enough a knife to."

"Hmm."

She handed me another pistol before grabbing a combat knife as well.

"Take these."

Finally, I feel like I'm really suiting up.

I put the 2 pistols behind my back, my belt acting as a holder for the 2 pistols. The knife was strapped onto my leg. And of course my Heckler & Cosh P3oL was safely stored in my jacket pocket.

Laurie grabbed a bag and stuffed the shotgun and multiple firearms into it. Picking up she quickly walked out of the house.

"Come on we need to leave."

"Oh we already leaving?"

"I have a bad feeling about tonight..."

Laurie looked at the nightsky that was above us.

It was already halloween huh?

A masacre was going to happen today and I almost forgot about it.

"What's your name kid?"

On her houses front porch, Laurie turned around and looked at me.

Hmm?

Oh shoot!

Completely forgot that I haven't told her my name.

Granted I've only told Dana my name so I've been forgetting.

Stepping through her door, I looked up at the sky as well.

"August, August Ramos."
