Blood

Random house,

Vicky was currently sitting on a couch, enjoying some popcorn while a younger boy, Julian, watched a horror film.

"You guys should just come over here when it's done. Dave's on his way. He's bringing beer. Julian's parents won't be home till late."

Getting up from the couch, Vicky made her way to the kitchen as she grabbed some cider from a fridge. The phone in her hand speaking loudly to her.

"School night though."

She was throwing a small Halloween get together with her friend Allyson and her boyfriend Carson. But of course Allyson had to have those strict parents that never let her do much. Didn't help that Halloween was on a school night which made her parents more aprehensive of letting her go out.

"Listen, I gotta tuck this cute little critter in bed. Stop being a needy bitch and get over here."

"Sounds good. See ya in a bit."

Putting her phone away, Vicky turned to see Julian staring at her.

" I heard you telling your friends to come over here and you're drinking beer. That's against the rules. I'm telling my mom."

Giving a sly smile, Vicky followed Julien back to the living room.

"Well, I've seen your browser history, Julian. Wouldn't want me telling your folks about that, would you?"

She teased Julian a bit, which made him panic. Julian could only look down at the ground dejectedly

"And staying up late watching horror movies is not what you're supposed to be doing either."

Patting his head, Vicky started to lead towards the stairs.

"Get to bed, you little monster."

Chasing him up the stairs in a playful manner, Vicky was able to get Julian to bed easily and tuck him in. She kissed her hand and put it on his forehead as she turned to leave.

"Will you leave the door open? Just a crack?"

Leaving the door, Vicky made sure to open a crack to let some light in into the dark room.

"Goodnight, critter."

Walking downstairs to the Kitchen, Vicky turned on the sink and started doing dishes. The water is loud as she hand-washes a few pots and plates.

Glancing outside through the window, she notices a clothesline with sheets gently flapping in the breeze.

Suddenly, something quickly moved behind the sheets, making them fly higher.

Vicky looked up, turning off the faucet, and focused on the backyard. Quietly walking to the door, Vicky tried to get a better look at what that was nehind the sheets.

A loud bang hit the glass of the door window startling Vicky.

She quickly relaxed when she saw who it was.

"Sorry. I've been knocking on the front door for five minutes. I didn't want to ring the bell and wake the kid. Check it out. Fresh from my patch."

Vicky unlocked the door, revealing that it was her boyfriend, Dave, dressed as a farmhand with a jack-o'-lantern.

"You scared the shit out of me, Dave."

" Julian just went to bed?"

"Yeah, we have the house to ourselves."

"Should we make popcorn? Wanna watch TV?"

"No."

The two stared at each other for a moment, understanding and affection flashing through their eyes. Dave rolled up his sleeve, showing off his new tattoo to Vicky.

"Oh, fuck yeah."

They started to make out passionately, Dave's hand started to crawl up her shirt before Vicky quickly broke away.

"Shhh... stop, Dave. What was that?"

Vicky started to whisper, which confused Dave a bit.

"What? What was it?"

"I don't know. I heard something."

"It's nothing. It's Julian taking a dump or somethin'. C'mon..."

Dave clearly wanted to continue their little 'session', but Vicky was having none of that and was more concerned with the noise she heard. They both heard the sound of a door closing.

"I'm serious, go see."

"Go see him take a shit?"

"Go!"

Dave got up from the couch and composed himself, he wasn't very happy at being cockblocked at something that probably just his girl being paranoid. He turned around, just to be greeted at the sight of Julian at the bottom of the stairway, his face terrifed for some reason.

'Jesus, this 9 year old a ninja or something?'

"Oh...uh hi Julian?"

Vicky walked over to the two and let out a small laugh as it was just Julian that made the noise. Vicky hurried over to Julian and kneeled at his level.

"What are you doing up?"

Usually her smile was enough to call Julian down from whatever but this time he stayed frozen in fear.

"I saw someone in the hallway, standing outside my door!"

Pointing upstairs, Julian looked concerned at whatever was upstairs.

"Aww, bro! Ghosts and goblins?"

Dave saw that Julian was scared so he tried to lighten the mood. It didn't work as Julian snapped back at him.

"Shut up, Dave! I heard him breathing, then I saw him. He's in here. The Boogeyman's in the house!"

Vicky gave Julian a smile as she walked with him up the stairs.

"Come on. Let's go see this creature, then get you back to bed."

Dave shook his head as his girlfriend took Julian upstairs. He pulled out a joint, stepping outside of the kitchen to smoke it. He smoked for a bit before noticing the open garage door with the light on. Getting curious, he decided to walk over to investigate the garage.

While Dave was being curious, Vicky and Julian were running for their lives.

They both had entered Julians room. Seeing that nothing was out of order, she put Julian back to bed and tried to leave the room but Julian insisted that she stayed until he was sure that the man was gone.

Before she could react, Julian suddenly yelled and pointed behind her. She felt someont wrap their hand around her neck and a severe pain was felt on her shoulder. She pushed away from whoever stabbed her and ran out the room with Julian.

Julian was able to make it downstairs, but Vicky wasn't as lucky. Her socks instantly slipped on the wood floor, causing her to fall hard to the ground. She cried in pain as she held her shoulder.

Julian ran back up the stairs, trying to help Vicky up. He peered into his room and shivers ran up his spine.

Slowly walking out of his room, Micheal Myers appeared from the bedroom, holding a knife.

"Nope."

Realzing that he still had more years to live, Julian ran back downstairs to save himself. Leaving poor Vicky still scrambling to get up.

Micheal grabbed her feet and started to pull Vicky back into Julians room.

"AHHHHHHHH!"

Julian dashed through the kitchen and ran into Dave, who had just stepped back inside from investigating what was just a light turning on. Julian started to scream incoherant gibberish at Dave.

"Dude! Chill. Why are you screechin'?"

"There's a man up there!"

"There's no man up there."

"You go up there, you're gonna get killed, Dave!"

Julian ran out the kitchen door for his life, leaving Dave confused again.

Dave shook his head at Julians strange actions, grabbing a large kitchen knife playfully, and adjusted his straw hat.

"Oh yeah? Come get some, Dave."

POV Change,

I was currently in Lauries truck, we were driving towards her daughters and Allysons neighborhood. The police scanner on top of her dashboard suddenly sparked to life.

"Base to all units. Intrusion in progress at 707 Meridian Avenue."

Laurie had her classic stoic look on her face as she stared to speed through the empty streets of Haddonfield.

We eventually stopped in front of a house in a suburban neighborhood. A police car was parked in front of the house. Laurie hopped out of her truck and pulled out her pistol.

"Come on. He's here."

I quickly got out of the truck and pulled out my Heckler. Staring at the house, I felt a malicious presence inside of the seemingly normal house. Laurie started to scan everything around us, to the pumpkins to the kids in costumes walking around.

Both of our eyes glance up on the second floor window, a light turned on followed by a lot of yelling. Laurie turned her head to the window next to it, and her widened in shock as she let out a gasp.

I followed her glance and saw a tall man staring right back at us.

Micheal Myers was here.

I could feel the decades of tension between Laurie and Micheal, as if I could literally cut it with a knife. Laurie quickly opened fire at where Micheal was, sending out 3 shoots that all land directly on Micheal.

"Hey what are you shooting at?"

I was confused as to why Laurie was shooting at a mirror. I saw Micheal to but he alrady left the window. Laurie didn't say anything as we heard yelling and the sound of gunshots ringing throughout the house.

We both took a glance over and saw Micheal walking out of a side door. He started to walk towards the back of the house, which prompted me to run over and take a shot at him. The shot hit his shoulder and forced him to fall over, but just past the corner.

Me and Lauire ran over to where we last saw him, turning the corner I was greeted with the sight of a empty backyard.

"Where is he?!"

Startled, Lauire turned around and socked officer Hopkins in the face, causing him to fall over.

"Fuck! Jesus! What the fuck?!"

Hopkins groaned as he rubbed his jaw in pain. Stumbling up, he looked at both me and Lauire in shock.

"Strode? What are you doing here? And you ! Who are you?"

"Now's not the time for that."

He took a glance at me before letting out a sigh as he walked into the street.

"Did you see where he went?"

"No. But do me do me favor. If you find him before I do, finish him."

Laurie had a aura of pure seriousness around her now. Something that made me and Hopkins picked up on. She pulled out a Glock 34 from seemingly nowhere, which caused my jaw to drop.

"Where did you get that?"

"Connections."

Frowning at the stale answer, I turned around and walked to the side door to look inside. A dead body was slumped on a wall. A large knife pined through the neck with the bodies face was smashed into the wall like a ceremonial slaying.

"Horrific."

Micheal killed that man. And in a horrifing way on top of it. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath as I walked back to where Laurie was still standing.

"We need to kill him."

That was the only thing I could think of. Anomly, system, whatever. None of that didn't matter right now. What mattered was stopping this monster from killing any more innocent people. It was by my basic human duty to stop that monster. Laurie at me, her steeled look never wavering.

"Everyday I prayed for him to escape."

I looked at her, confused with her strange statement.

"Why on earth would you pray for that?"

She looked at me with a cold look on her face.

"So I can finally kill him."
