Slowly opening his eyes, he slowly looked at his hands and body to check for injuries. He slowly gained his memory and struck again by guilt and helplessness. "Boue" "My Friends" he murmured and contemplative for a bit thought it was heartbreaking event he must be strong and continue and then looked around to check for the other person in the pod. The pod was a bit spacious as it can fit 10 officers at a time but beside him was the four officers who escorted him still unconscious but he sighed in relief as he check the life meter above their heads and it was in green.
"Azraelle, are you there?" {Yes your highness}. "Give me a report" {Affirmative: REP(Royal Escape Pod) damage was 50% during impact but now fixed at 40%, remaining repairs could not be conducted because of protocols but All officers including your highness is now safe but some are still recovering}. The prince knew he was prioritized for the first aid and recovery but did not mind as all of them were now currently safe. "Why did we crash? How long was it since we crashed here and give me details of this planet." The prince was confused because the pod they are on was made to be very safe and reliable but they still crashed and even damaged the pod. {3 months and two weeks, since the crash. An unknown energy damaged the computer onboard, making the pod malfunction during atmospheric entry which led to the crash and damage the pod. Upon observing the stars, my data could not ascertain the location of this planet. This may be an unregistered, unexplored far away galaxy which the federation has no knowledge yet.} The prince nodded but was a bit curious. Though he knew already of the capabilities of the pod, he still was amazed that the pod can support them for this long and base on his knowledge, it can support 10 person up to 10 years in space and up to forever as long as it landed on a planet with water.
"Unknown Energy? Are we attacked during entry? Can you elaborate on the details?" The prince was thinking of possibilities for the unknown energy which led to their crash but could not think of any. {After further Observation and investigation: Energy X is a new type of energy which is abundant in this planet, in the atmosphere, flora and fauna and even some in the non living things like rocks and minerals}
It made a lot of questions in his mind and he became more curious so he read the details which Azraelle gathered during the months they were unconscious. While he was studying he was still in his own life support chair continuing to receive nourishment but he felt that he was already cured and requested for Azraelle for his release. "Azraelle, there are no more reason for these shackles. Zion who was confused of the abrupt upgrade and confirmation of being the owner which is not included and he did not experience during his oath as a fleet commander during his inauguration was a bit hesitant but did not indulge himself into asking details and thought of it as a normal confirmation so he did confirm and said "I accept". After a minute of processing he was then released from the shackle but he was still in the life support chair. Though he had an option to stand, he stayed and continue to received the medication and hope for himself to get back healthy as soon as possible.
As the last man woke up they then decided and requested for Azraelle to open the hatch for them to observe the new planet they crashed into. {Negative: Hazardous and unknown} Azraelle quickly denied their request and they were more understanding this time because Azraelle may have observe that the atmosphere is not suitable for them so Zion asked why?
{The unknown energy that caused the equipment's and computer to malfunction slightly might be dangerous to your body, Farther observation and experiment required to ascertain safety.} Azraelle said while they looked at each other confused, because what they can see in the readings of the pod outside is an earthlike atmosphere. Still they submitted to Azraelle's assumptions because AI's are designed to prioritize safety and survival of human beings. And so they gathered samples through the help of wearing space suits. Though using these suits will rapidly slow down the work, they have no choice but to follow protocols to ensure safety.
No matter how slow their progress is they were satisfied with their improvement, but the more they gather data the more they were amaze and confused at the same time. There were more questions developing than answers as they progressed. "Azrael, what is the progress of the data we covered so far this month?" Asked Zion in an impatient tone. {Sire, though my processing is not complete yet and we have to gather more data I can give some important points from what we have so far.} "Proceed" said Zion as the others were also excited of any information they could avail at the moment.
{The energy which is abundant in this planet we will call energy X: Though the flora and fauna in this planet followed the proper evolution in which they would take there is a minor difference compared to what my data currently have, and this is the intervention of energy X. It helped the inhabitants of this planet to be more stronger, and live a longer and it also make the inhabitants adapt more to non biological matters.} "Azrael, expound more on energy x's interaction to non-biological matters" Intervened Zion as he was attracted to the idea.
{An example of these intervention by energy x is the evolution of this species we label as armored rhino (The image projected in the screen was that of rhino like species that has visible steel like armors and steel like horns), and this plant we labeled emerald leaf (A normal looking plant with normal looking white flowers but has shiny green crystal leaves). We still need more data to further our understanding of how did it come to this, moreover: though the level of contamination on energy x varies from species to species. I can conclude that all living and non living matters in this planet are contaminated with this energy. At first they all can't believe of what they were hearing but because they were knowledgeable enough, they know that if this was all proven and true the potential of such discovery could be huge and unimaginable.
"Sire, if you may. I will volunteer of exposing myself outside and be a subject of experiment. It will take more months if not years if we continue in this pace that we are now." Inside the pod was silent but the other officers seem to agree of the plan. "No, I have enough of this sacrifices for my sake. The best thing to do is coin toss." As Zion said his opinion he grabbed a coin embedded in his uniform. Rather a coin, it was a medal shaped in a coin that symbolizes his royalty. Embedded in the coin is the Zion galaxy. "whoever be the first to get the galaxy will be the one to go outside" As finished the words in his mouth, he tossed the coin/medal and grabbed it in his hand then put the coin at the back of his other hand.
The galaxy sparkled as everyone could not say a word. And even if they disagree, it has been decided. "Azraelle, as the commander. You will never again disobey my orders, if not. I will concede all authority and live you all be." Though Zion sounded as if a spoiled child and demanding. The events unfolded before this was the reason of his actions. {Affirmative} Azraelle, who normally would deny the request was not hesitant.
As they were watching the monitor, the hissing sound of the pressure chamber opening that will lead Zion outside slowly opened. He was welcomed by the bright sun as he tried to cover his eyes that was slowly adjusting to the outside light. He stood just a few meters from the huge royal pod and breath the air. Nothing happened, he closed his eyes and felt the cold breeze of the morning. "Boue, Sam, Clyde, Rina, Zowie. I will not waste this new life that you gave me...Thank you and Goodbye"
