"I refuse."

"What?"

"I said 'I refuse'. There is no way I am marrying someone I have never met."

"B-but Solgoleon, this marriage was arranged by your parents and-"

"Exactly. I don't know this woman and don't care for political marriages. If I am supposed to lead the family, I will marry someone I wish, if at all."

Yamamoto said this to act the part. But he didn't have any interest in marrying at all. So saying this, he made an impact and since he didn't think he would stay in this world for very long, he would be gone before they realised their mistake. He had killed the other guy, but he wouldn't just marry someone the original Solgoleon was supposed to marry, because that happened. He didn't like the characters THAT much.

"Brother, although I am surprised to see your disagreement now since you seemed to like Noraleona when you were younger, I understand your concerns. But you have to think about our House. House Vermillion depends on you and this marriage is important," his 'brother' tells him.

Yamamoto/Solgoleon understood that Noraleona probably had powerful fire magic. Since he could feel her massive mana pool, he knew that a marriage between them was only to strengthen the House and the Vermillion line. And yet, he didn't care in the slightest. He was just here to experience magic, see the world, and maybe some characters he knew about. But marriage? Not a chance.

"I understand your concerns ... brother but I- hm?"

Yamamoto/Solgoleon stops talking as he feels the air growing hotter. He turns around to Noraleona whose eyes are hidden beneath her hair. The air around her is growing hotter and the stone tiles are starting to melt already. She is a powerful Magic Knight that much is certain.

"Oh? ... So you go to train for a few years and now think you're something better than us?" she asks.

"Listen, miss ... I'm sure you are a lovely person, but I won't marry someone I don't know."

*VROOOM*

Noraleona unleashes her magic power and pressures the people present. Only Yamamoto and his 'brother' manage to withstand it. She is truly a powerful woman. The heat jumps suddenly and flames appear around Noraleona. As she raises her head, Yamamoto can see her face and notices the battle maniac-like grin on her face. She looks very much like Mereoleona.

"Then let me introduce myself!" she shouts and punches her fist forward with tremendous force.

*BOOOOM*

Her fist impacts Yamamoto's face. As it hits, a fiery explosion happens between her fist and his face, causing him to shoot backwards like a bullet. The crowd while not used to this, doesn't panic, but they do make way for the two. Yamamoto crashes through the walls and falls to the ground outside. He turns in the air and lands on his feet with a smoking cheek.

*Crash*

*Booom*

Noraleona crashes through the building as well and lands in front of Yamamoto with her grin in place. Her hair was now dishevelled and flames were dancing around her, burning the ground and anything else that dared stand in her way.

For anyone else, she might have appeared as scary, but Yamamoto was far older and especially far more powerful. Noraleona jumped forward, pulling her fist back and punching with all her strength. She was a battle maniac in the truest sense of the word and was constantly keeping her skills and power sharp and in top shape, pushing herself whenever possible.

*BOOOM*

Her fist reaches Yamamoto but instead of being hit again, he catches her fist with his hand and stops her momentum. Surprised, but not bothered, Noraleona's grin widens and she pulls her fist back to attack again. Her other hand shoots forward attacking Yamamoto, but he catches that hand as well.

*Booom*

*Bang*

*BOOOM*

More and more attacks are launched from Noraleona and all of them are caught by Yamamoto. His fists are rated E, but he doesn't see a need to end this fight so quickly. There is something within Noraleona and the way she fights, that intrigues Yamamoto. The former Otaku inside him likes what he is seeing and so he entertains the woman. Due to the skill: [Indifference: Rank A-], Yamamoto was still indifferent to the situation, but he was not incapable of having feelings like Saitama.

The fight grew more intense as time passed. Noraleona realised that she stood no chance and opened her grimoire.

<Fire Magic: Calidus Brachium!>

*BOOOOOM*

She surrounds their fist with a fiery aura and punches Yamamoto, engulfing him in flames and pushing him back. It is clear where the future Mereoleona got her temper from.

"Calidus Brachium ... fiery arm ... not bad," Yamamoto says who is unharmed and not even burnt slightly. He pulls his fist back. His grimoire opens and a new spell appears.

<Sun Magic: Calidus Brachium>

Yamamoto throws a casual punch forward, aiming right next to Noraleona and unleashes the bright red flames which are more like plasma than flames.

*VROOOOOOOOM*

The ground right next to Noraleona is scorched. She widens her eyes as she realises the power of Yamamoto. But right after, her grin reappears even bigger than before. Her power surges once more and she engages Yamamoto again.

They sped through the Vermillion grounds and destroyed several parts of the large garden as they did so. The intensity rose proportionally to the damage. Many servants started to appear and tried to lessen the damage by using Water Magic and putting out the fire. Noraleona used her most advanced and powerful spells right now.

"Mana Zone ..."

Mana Zone is a skill that allows a mage to manipulate the mana in an area around themselves. Thus, the mage can gather together and utilize more magic than they would be able to normally.

Offensively, this mana can be funnelled into spells to increase their size, number, and range. It can also be used to launch attacks in any direction and from any direction within the zone. Spells can be created all around a target to keep them from escaping, within an enemy's spell to destroy it, or behind a target to catch them by surprise.

<Fire Magic: Calidus Brachium Barrage!!>

After taking control of the surrounding mana, Noraleona pummels Yamamoto with fiery blasts from all directions. The continuous stream of attacks from every direction makes it difficult to escape from or to defend against this spell. At least normally.

*BOBOBOBOBOBOOOOOM*

From all sides, the attacks hit Yamamoto who was observing everything as it happened. He took this as his time to learn how to utilise this technique. Mana Zone is, after all, an advanced mana control technique and since he hasn't been in this world for long, he takes everything he can to learn. After a few seconds of allowing himself to get hit, he understands how to do it and realised the similarities in the open Domain Expansion. But the Domain Expansion had the additional effect of a sure-hit attack, as long as it was a completed one.

Yamamoto brings his two hands together making the Enma Palm Sign, the Enmaten no Shōin. But instead of using Cursed Energy, Yamamoto uses mana to power the move. He is changing the Domain he absorbed before using it and as he is being attacked by Noraleona's spell. Yamamoto then changes his hand sign and goes for another spell, which he mixes with a Domain. He mixes both Cursed Energy with his mana and then unleashes the newly created technique.

"Mana Domain: Amaterasu's Kitchen!"

The surroundings change and the Domain, which has just now been created by Yamamoto creates a wide sea of flaming plasma. It looks like the surface of the sun, but more controlled and almost serene. In the middle sits Yamamoto on a throne of gold and black, with several rivers of black flames forming waterfalls in the background. The heat is as hot as the surface of the sun at roughly 6'000°C and rising.

Faced with this sudden change, Noraleon's eyes widen. All water evaporates, forcing her to immediately coat herself with mana to not die right away. But it doesn't work for very long. In the next moment, she falls unconscious.

*Thud*

Yamamoto deactivates his domain and walks towards Noraleona in thought. The Domain he just created was not his Domain Expansion which he would have if he used only Cursed Energy. It was a test on his part to create something which combined the sure-hit effect of the Domain Expansion with mana. But it wasn't perfect, not in the slightest. To complete this, he decided to first create his own Domain Expansion using only Cursed Energy and then he would combine it with Mana Zone. There was also a chance he could combine his Bankai or at least Shikai with it. That would make it that much more powerful.

As he thought about it, his 'brother' arrived and several servants and royalty.

"What happened? Is everything alright?" he asks seeing that Yamamoto wasn't harmed at all despite the intensity of the fight.

"She just fainted. I had an idea for a new technique and wish to delve further into this, so if you could bring her to recover. I'll see you later," Yamamoto says and then disappears.

"Solgoleon!!!"

*Sigh*

Yamamoto went to train for the first time in a while. He was used to training but it was usually not as special as this one. The complexity of combining two completely different types of energy intrigued him and moved him to stay in the world for now and enjoy his time. He was a royal and as such he could enjoy the finest culinary delights as well as very nice beds and baths. Things which he took advantage of. He spent his time sleeping for a while, eating, taking a nice bath and then training. His life as a 'not-Solgoleon' was perfect.

There was only one problem.

"Solgoleon! Let's fight!!"

And that problem came in the presence of a wild female Fire mage. Noraleon didn't take her loss very well. She wasn't depressed or sad about losing. She was just angry, but for some reason fired up ... literally. She came every day to the Vermillion estate, well the part where Yamamoto/Solgoleon resided, since she was practically a part of the family already, even if the marriage didn't happen. Noraleon challenged Yamamoto every day and if he didn't agree, she would just attack him anyway.

The first few days, Yamamoto agreed and allowed her to attack, while he also attacked here and there. But if he didn't attack and end the fight, it would just continue that way for hours. So he decided to end the fight faster and knock her out. But that had the negative effect of encouraging Noraleon further and she would challenge Yamamoto two times a day. As soon as she woke up from her unconsciousness, she came back. It was an endless cycle, which Yamamoto didn't enjoy.

To escape, he left the Vermilion estate to travel a bit, but the woman found him after using Fire magic to shoot through the kingdom in search of him. Running away also didn't help, since she would just arrive a bit later. So after months of fighting his situation, Yamamoto just accepted his peril and enjoyed the scenery. He found out, that if he didn't agree to a fight and just allowed her to attack him, she would 'eventually' - like hours later - stop fighting since it was boring for her.

This way, the unlikely duo travelled the kingdom, enjoying the time without responsibilities and bothersome royal gatherings. Just sparring and magic experimentation and enjoying new food. Little did the two know, that this would change the course of the world in time.

Yes, imagine some real development. Don't worry, romance is not the focus of this story. But we can still enjoy some change of pace every once in a while. She is not the final female lead, since I despise harem and Yamamoto will eventually leave again. So no backstory for Noraleon.
