Spill the tea

"Maybe not truth or dare," Laureen steps in. "let's face it, we all suck at giving good dares that we're willing to do." Her beautiful angelic voice relieves me.

"But you said ok," Alexis questions. "why are you saying no now?"

"I changed my mind."

"Fiiiiiine," Alexis moans. "how about two truths and a lie?"

"I'm good with that," Laureen submits. "it's basically truth or truth but with a lie."

"I'm good with it." I say, thankful Laureen had it changed.

"I'm good with it." Alexis, Mark, and Alex say at the same time.

"Ok then," Alexis chirps. "let's get started. Who wants to go first?"

"I will." Mark volunteers. "Ok, so here they are. I accidentally flushed my mom's phone down the toilet when I was twelve, I almost joined Cheerleading but my parents said no, and I once took my sister's art supplies only to find every eraser I have ever lost."

"I think it's the phone." Laureen says.

"The erasers." Alex answers.

"I would say Cheerleading," I guess. "you don't seem to be into it."

"I agree with Grace." Alexis states.

"Well you two are correct," Mark admits. "it's just not my thing. So who next?"

"I'll go," Alexis contributes. "and have fun trying to guess it. So the first one is that my dad left me in the sixth grade, my mom is an addict, and I'm a pancake person."

"Pancakes," Alex says confidently. "you make waffles all the time."

"Your mom being an addict." I guess once again

"Your dad didn't leave in the sixth grade," Laureen says.

"Yeah, it was fifth grade." Mark agrees.

"Well you're right," Alexis confirms. "and I didn't expect Grace to get it, but really Alex? Pancakes for the win."

"But you always post on your story about you making waffles." Alex says, confused.

"Cause they're easier to make."

"Whatever." he says as he rolls his eyes.

"So who's next?"

Then the person to volunteer actually surprises me. It could end good or badly. I never thought that they would be next. I never thought they'd volunteer. And that's cause they volunteered without knowing, they just did it without thinking. Why did I volunteer?
