Life With Cats

Life With Cats is a novel I've worked on for about a year now. It's a warm hearted story about a woman who dies of old age surrounded by the cats she loves with all her heart. She longs to continue living with them, forever. Thankfully and unknowingly the God of Laziness cared for her life enough to grant her another chance. She decides to continue her Life With Cats. Updates coming soon!

Caster's Info

Through the past week on this world, Lottie and her crew of cats have experienced only a small percentage of the world. From the beginning, their stats were low. Lottie's stats were immensely low. However through time, just from this week alone, things have started to look up.

[Lottie's stats as visible to them.]

[Strength: 6] {MAX:24}

[Intelligence: 9] {MAX:31}

[Wisdom: 5] {MAX:29}

[Vitality: 21] {MAX:21}

[Agility: 10] {MAX:25}

[Luck: 10] {MAX:?}

[Stamina: 13] {MAX:20}

[Speed: 5] {MAX:26}

{Lottie's stats as visible to God.}

*Lottie's stats have raised very little due to their inability to fight on their own at this current state.

*The MAX amounts were chosen randomly by the God of Laziness' disciple, as they were only informed to keep it realistic. Luck is the only stat with an unclear max since it's determined by pure ability or artifacts.

*The MAX on an individual's stats forbids the user from breaking the balance of the world, something which is carefully observed and managed by an overseer.

*The MAX is only visible to God.

[Lottie's skills:]

[Summon]: Must use either their name or a mental image of the beast.

*Summoning needs a certain amount of Wisdom to work properly, and repetitive summoning can lead to fainting or worse.

*The God of Laziness provided a clause from which summoning would only function if Lottie could recall the beast precisely.

[Sleep]: The beast will be unsummoned and can be summoned again.

*The space within the 'Sleep' state is empty and is classified as an 'unknown world', known as a 'pocket'. The pocket uses an unused portion of reality itself to create the unbreakable and impenetrable space.

*Simultaneous repetitive usage is not advised, as the caster will go through a large drop of Wisdom. This comes from the need to open and close the pocket right after.

[Orbit]: Select all or a few beasts to stay within a short distance around the Master.

*Orbit is a simple command which uses very little Wisdom.

[Protect]: Beasts will prepare for battle.

*Although beasts are naturally very protective of the caster, this skill is typically used to create a fully protective sphere. Paired with a natural leader, this skill can be utilized to its full potential.

[Info]: Use to pull up beasts' stats.

*The info appears upon the notepad which is a miniature version of the one used directly from the God of Laziness himself. Gifted Children typically have a screen where the information is shown, however the God of Laziness simply couldn't be bothered to create a detailed screen. And so, using what was available on his table itself, the notepad was born.

*The notepad is an object connected to the caster and so it cannot be lost or used by another being, including the beasts.

[Hunt]: Select all or a few beasts to start hunting.

*Hunting can be a range of different actions, all leading up to the collection of specific items. This can include attacking monsters or digging up crops, anything that results in the caster or the beasts being given what they need.

*The caster will not get a higher amount of stat points for Hunting done without their presence. If the caster is close by, they will receive a small percentage of stat points.

[Alert]: Select a beast to stay on alert.

*Alert can in some cases, as a way to express fear, be used without speaking the word itself. Beasts also can alert the caster or other beasts if necessary.

[Roles]: Give the beasts their own roles to accomplish, beasts like finishing tasks.

*Roles can affect what skills or traits get applied to each beast and or caster themselves. Roles are extremely useful and can be thought of as jobs or careers, where those who work there will over time collect different skills or experience through the job.

[Call]: Like ringing a bell, all summoned beasts will return to the Master.

*Call does not teleport the beasts to the caster, it simply notifies each beast that is time to return. The beasts can choose to head the notification or not, typically due to the casters order to listen or to stay put. Beasts however prefer to be obedient and so they are unlikely to ignore the Call without permission.
