Chapter 5: Master Roshi

[Kami wishes to speak with you… Please follow me]: mr. popo

[Kami?... But why does he want to speak with me?]: soren

When Popo heard Soren's question, he only replied with a simple answer.

[I have no idea, I'm just tasked with bringing you to Kami's place]: mr. popo

Soren could only nod his head, as he didn't want to trouble Kami. Not because Kami was stronger, because he wasn't, but Soren didn't want to give Kami a reason to not teach Soren, as that was another big reason as to why Soren came to this place.

[Then please lead the way… I'll just follow you]: soren

Popo just gave a slight nod, and without further delay, Popo made his carpet start flying back towards the Lookout, and Soren followed close behind, and this development kinda shocked Popo, as he couldn't feel a single bit of energy from Soren, making him wonder just how he was able to fly. Soon, both Soren and Gine had made it to the Lookout, and once they got there, they could see a tall green alien-like humanoid with 2 antennas sticking out from his forehead. The being held a long wooden staff in his hand, and wore a white robe with a blue collar, and a pair of dark blue shoes, and on his robe was the kanji for "Kami" or "God".

'Wow… Everything looks so life-like compared to the Anime… Hell, even that shitty life-like move, Dragonball Evolution didn't have this kind of realism… I guess this is what you get when everything becomes a reality… Something I don't think I'll ever get used to': soren

[So are you Kami?]: soren

Soren asked a question that should have an obvious answer seeing as it was written on his robes, but the question was answered none the less.

[I am indeed Kami… You might be wondering why I sent Mr. Popo to bring you here, and the simple answer is because of your power, or more specifically, her power]: kami

Kami pointed towards Gine, and this action made Soren look towards her as well, but because Soren had yet to learn any kind of Ki sensing, or Ki control, he couldn't tell just how powerful anyone was in this world, and that's why Soren wanted to learn.

[But what is more interesting to me, is your appearance… I feel like you could destroy this entire planet in one attack, but I can't sense any form of Ki or God Ki from you]: kami

[that's because I don't practice your version of Martial Arts… In fact, this was a reason as to why I came here… I wish to learn if possible]: soren

When Kami heard Soren's words, he became interested in just what kind of energy Soren could be using, but when he heard Soren talk about learning Martial Arts, he decided to test Soren's soul.

[Come here… Before I decided to teach you, I need to check your soul, and make sure you aren't an evil being bent on world destruction]: kami

Soren stepped forward, and Kami placed his hand on top of Soren's head, and began to read his soul, and after seeing how pure Soren was, he decided to train him.

[I will train you… But first you must go through Popo's training]: kami

When Soren heard Kami's words, he felt a shiver run down his spine as he heard the words "Popo's training", and a memory of a parody entered Soren's mind about a certain version of Mr. Popo, but this version seemed to be like the canon version of Mr. Popo, so they were safe.

[Follow me… We will start training with sensing the Ki within your body first]: popo

Popo had both Soren and Gine sit down on the ground and focus on feeling the Ki inside their bodies, and as Gine could already do that, she was exempt from needing to do anything. Soren on the other hand found it quite tedious, and hard, as all he could sense in his body was the Profound Energy, and that wasn't what he was looking for, or at least that's what he thought, so instead Soren decided to ask Ava.

'Ava, is it possible to sense Ki? Or do I need to buy that ability in the shop?': soren

<{There is no need to buy it, as your Profound energy is a more refined version of Ki, as it takes the Ki within the air, and absorbs it while mixing it with your life energy… Profound Energy is on a stage just above God Ki in its purest stage, and because you are at the realm of a Creation God, your Energy is refined to the peak}>

'Is that so?... Then all I need to do is pull energy from my body, and I can create things like Ki balls, and moves like the Kamehameha': soren

Once Soren found out what he was doing was right, he began circulating his Profound Energy, and soon, a glowing ball of light appeared to be floating before Soren's chest as he was sitting in a lotus position with his hands surrounding the glowing ball that appeared to be getting bigger and bigger as more Profound Energy was poured into the ball.

'I-It's working!... And I don't even feel drained': soren

Soren now had a ball of light about the size of a basketball hovering in between his hands, and when Mr. Popo saw this, he was happy, as Soren was a quick learner.

[Great!... Now you can sense the Ki within your bodies… Next we will work on keeping that energy under control, as every movement made when fighting will expend Ki, and that Ki is what we use to fight for longer periods of time, so if all of it gets used up, then you will be too exhausted to fight, so learning to use the bare minimum of Ki in every attack is crucial to a Martial artist]: mr. popo

Popo then begun to explain how to conserve Ki when fighting, and when Gine saw this, she felt that it was not useful, as her entire race was used to having enough Ki to use it in explosive amounts, and deal more damage, but to someone like Kami and Popo who have around 300-400 BP, reserving as much Ki as possible was a must when fighting. Soren noticed that most of his attacks didn't need to be fueled by Profound Energy, since his bare physical strength was far beyond that of normal people, but he didn't mind sparing with Gine so that she could learn to reserve her strength for times when she needs it the most. After 2 days of sparing, Gine was able to control her power to a minimum, and Soren was able to learn a bit from her fighting style, as it was quite primal, and had no form of elegance, and when Popo did the bell test with her, none of er movements were wasted, and her Ki was still in check, as the bells stayed silent, and when Soren did the test, it was the same.

[Congratulations, you two… You have passed my tests… Kami will be waiting for you inside]: mr. popo

Soren was surprised, as it took Goku around 3 months to pass Popo's tests before he spent 3 years there to train, while it only took them 3 days, or more like it took Gine 3 days, as Soren could have done it in the first day. Soren and Gine then entered Kami's palace, and inside they saw him waiting at his throne, and once Kami saw the two of them, a smile appeared on his face as he spoke.

[You two are quite the quick learners… Come, I will show you the next step in your training]: kami

Kami then brought both Soren and Gine to a gigantic room, and began telling them about how it was possible to sense the Ki of other beings, and with doing this one would get an idea of how strong someone was, but with this technique, one could also suppress their power down to miniscule amounts, or even make their power seem invisible, something Soren had already achieved just with his energy type being unsensible to begin with. At first, Gine thought it was another useless skill, seeing as scouters worked just fine for sensing ones power, but when Soren explained how learning this skill would make even scouters useless as they could hid their power, or make someone using a scouter thing that they were weaker than they actually were, Gine grew wide eyed, and wanted to learn the skill immediately. Soon, a week had passed, and both Gine and Soren could sense the Ki within the air, and also began to read the Ki signature of other beings, and immediately, Gine could tell that the strongest being here on this planet was herself right, under Soren, as she couldn't sense his power to begin with.

'Hmm… Seems like Gine had powered up a bit over this short training session… I would assume her power was around 1,200 BP before we left Planet Vegeta, but now it's around 2,250 BP… Such a big increase in such a short time… Earth's Martial Arts are truly something to marvel at': soren

[So what do you plan to do next young Soren?]: kami

Soren heard Kami's question, and then began to think, and once he came up with an answer he spoke.

[I guess I'll travel the Earth for a bit, and after learning some Fighting styles from some masters, I'll be leaving]: soren

When Gine heard Soren, she quickly looked at him and snapped.

[What do you mean, you're leaving!... You promised my Husband that you would look after me and my child!]: gine

When Soren heard Gine shout at him, he turned to see her with a red face the once could tell was made from a mix of sadness and anger.

[Don't worry Gine… I'm not leaving any time soon… maybe in 10-20 years or so… I'll be here to watch Kakarot grow up and become an adult… Speaking of, would you like to meet him now? I know that you've been wanted to see him ever since you got here]: soren

When Gine heard Soren's words, she began to calm down, and the second she heard him bring up Kakarot, she immediately jumped at the idea to go take him back, but what confused her was how he phrased his words.

[What do you mean "See him"... I want to go and take my child back]: gine

[Gine… You can't do that, what if he was picked up by a nice family… You can't rip him away like that, even if he is your son… Just trust me, we can watch over him from a distance until he needs you back in his life]: soren

Though Gine didn't like Soren's words, she did have to admit that he was right, and as a mother, she knew that it would pain her to only be able to watch him from a distance, but then an idea struck her.

[Okay!... But if I see any problem with the family that had picked him up, I'll not only take my son back, but I'll beat them up real good]: gine

Soren wanted to laugh at how childish Gine's answer was, but he knew that she was serious, and with this new development, both Gine and Soren left the Lookout and went down to the Earth's surface. Soren then sent his senses out and covered the whole planet in a matter of seconds, and after sensing where Goku is due to the familiar Ki signature that he shares with his mother, Soren opened a portal, and with a single step, both he and Gine appeared up in the air and looked down at the small mountain home where they could see a bald old man with a bushy white mustache, and bushy white eyebrows, wearing a chinese Martial arts uniform which consists of a sleeveless orange jacket, over a long sleeved black shirt and black pants. The man had a pair of black slippers, and wore a green hat with a white puff ball on the top, and slung around his back was what appeared to be a cloth that cradled a sleeping boy with spiky black hair, and a brown monkey tail that was attacked to his backside while a white cloth diaper covered his private area. The old man was working in the small field around his house that was home to many of his crops, and as the old man worked, both Soren and Gine watched him from above.

[See… Kakarot seems to have found a nice family to take care of him, and that old man appeared to be quite happy… Do you really want to take that away from him?]: soren

[I guess you're right… But I want to see him… I want to hug him… I want to hold him]: gine

[Later… For now, we must come up with a plan to get rid of Frieza, as he is the only person that can stand in our way now]: soren

Once Soren said that name, Gine began to angrily growl one name.

[Frieza!... I'll kill him myself!]: gine

Soren had successfully placed Gine's attention onto something else, and with that, Soren searched for one more Ki signature, and once he found it, he opened a portal, and with a single step both he and Gine were gone, leaving the old man to continue his farming. And when Soren and Gine reappeared, they were once again floating in the sky, but this time they were looking down at a small island with a single house built there, and it was pink in color with the words "Kame House" written on the side of it, and upon seeing an old man relaxing on the the beach in a lawn chair, Soren decided to descend to meet him.

[Greeting Master Roshi!]: soren

As Soren spoke, the old man known as Roshi quickly shot up, and the porn mag covering his face fell off to the side, revealing the old man's appearance. The old man known as Roshi was bald, and had a bushy white mustache and goatee, and bushy white eyebrows, and a pair of red sunglasses covering his eyes. He wore a orange hawiian button up shirt with black letters and purple triangles scattered around, while a purple turtle shell was strapped to his back. Roshi also wore a pair of white shorts that showed off his thin hairless legs, and he wore a pair of bamboo sandals on his feet, while laying on the ground next to him was his infamous wooden staff.

[Wha-!... Who's there!... Show yourself!]: roshi

Roshi quickly glanced around to find out who called his name, but he found nobody, at least that was until Soren and Gine floated down to the ground, and Roshi could finally see the two of them, or more specifically, Gine.

[Ohohoh… Hello there pretty lady… My name is Roshi, what's your name?]: roshi

Soren just rolled his eyes towards Roshi's antics, while Gine felt that this was the type of person she wanted her son to stay away from, but oh how she would react if she found out that Kakarot would be trained under this man for years to come.

[Master Roshi… My name is Soren, and this here is Gine… We came here to be taught in the way of Martial Arts]: soren

When Soren spoke, Roshi turned his attention towards Soren, and registering what he said, he was surprised, but then spoke.

[What do you want to learn from me? Don't you have a master?]: roshi
