Chapter 41: Trouble 3!

Azrael was held tightly with iron like grip in the fist of Alpha Lucky as his consciousness was slowly slipping away.

It was exactly 11:59 pm, just a minute to midnight on the day when the full moon will be up.

Azrael was barely able to gather his thought let alone be aware of his surroundings.

"Leave him alone... Leave him alone..." Alex Bayly started to sob as she was speaking. She was crying and chanting at the same time.

"Leave him alone..." She shouted out loud.

Alpha Lucky stood as a mountain holding Azrael Herrington with a firm grip and grinning like a Maniac.

Alex looked towards the face of Azrael, she could see he was close to dying. She was having a feeling of being suffocated and tight-chested just by being so close to him.

For the first time, she felt so intimate with him, like their hearts and minds were completely connected.

Alex Bayly couldn't stand to watch Azrael suffer anymore, she suddenly dashed towards the Alpha and jumped on him.

Alpha Lucky ignored her as one will ignore a fly, but suddenly he felt a piercing pain in his arm. His arm was bitten by Alex Bayly.

Normally that shouldn't be any problem if it were any normal human, but Alex isn't just any normal human, she is a Kannais, and the bite of a Kannais is fatal to any werewolf under the curse of Bianca Zul.

She was like their nemesis, and that is the major reason they wanted her dead. It was all just word of mouth till this moment when Alpha Lucky felt the pain from her bite.

Alpha Lucky swung his fist into the air, throwing Alex Bayly away like one would a rag doll. She landed abruptly and the back of her head collided with an opposing wall and she passed out.

"Alleeeeeeeeeeeeexxxxxxxxxx" Azrael jolted awake and screamed while still held tightly in the other arm of Alpha Lucky.

At this time, the clock struck midnight.

The eyes of Azrael were the first to change. It went from the normal brown eye color to golden yellow. It wasn't noticed by anyone present except Bianca Zul's ghostly apparition who was hovering around him and encouraging him to survive.

"Azrael, your transformation has started, hang in there, you're going to be even stronger than the legendary wolf King..." The ghostly apparition of Bianca Zul shouted into Azrael's ears.

No one else could hear Bianca Zul unless she wanted them to.

Azrael jolted awake and his bones started to shift,

~Kra-Kra-creeeeeuuuuuu~

Alpha Lucky noticed this and looked at him closely wondering what was happening. Slowly and steadily, he started to become bigger and bigger.

Alpha Lucky had to drop him at a point and watch what was happening.

"Is he.... is he transforming? Is he a werewolf? How come he doesn't have a werewolf unique scent?" Alpha Lucky asked in confusion. He had never witnessed anything like this.

A human becoming a werewolf without the werewolf bite of an Alpha was insane or simply impossible.

"Even with that, you're still no match..." Alpha Lucky added confidently, disregarding his transformation.

What Alpha Lucky didn't know was that the bite of Alex Bayly was slowly poisoning him. And when the poison eventually spread throughout his body, his heart will stop and he will die. However, because he is an alpha werewolf, much stronger than the others, he will die a bit later than a normal beta or omega werewolf.

Azrael regained his ability to think while his transformation continued. He crawled towards Alex Bayly and saw that she was unconscious. He saw blood trickling down the back of her head and that drove him mad with rage.

His paws brought out claws, his mouth produced fangs and shaped into a snout, and his gaze became intense and vicious like that of a cobra.

He got up like a beast possessed and dashed towards Alpha Lucky, his bones had reconstructed themselves and were now dense. The injury he had earlier had completely healed in fact his bones were as good as new and even better and stronger, almost as hard as steel.

He got closer to Alpha Lucky and swiped with his claws at his face. Alpha Lucky dodged easily and slammed his fist at him as if swatting a fly

The momentum of the hit threw Azrael back till he landed close to where Alex Bayly was unconscious.

"Azrael, please don't face him, you're not used to this new transformation.. you've not adapted to your werewolf form... Let me transport you to somewhere safe, you and her..." Bianca Zul spoke worriedly.

"If you do that, won't it sap all your spiritual energy...?" Azrael spoke in a gruff voice while still in his werewolf form.

As Azrael spoke, Alpha Lucky looked in his direction, wondering who he was talking to.

"It may take years to recover, but if I can keep you safe now let me..." Bianca Zul said as she lay both hands on both Azrael and Alex and closed her eyes in concentration.

Alpha Lucky started to come closer with composure and with every step, everywhere resonated with the overwhelming aura of an alpha.

~Gboooommmmmm- Gboooooooommmmm-Gboooooooommmmm~

His footsteps reverberated throughout the hall, and everywhere was silent as all his underlings were behind him watching everything.

Dr. Reece Cont was also amongst them, smiling from ear to ear and enjoying the show. After all, he has led them there so all he needed to do was to claim the reward money.

Alpha Lucky kept walking towards Azrael and Alex, every step he took spelt doom for them. ~gbooommmmmm~

"Aunty Bianca, please hurry, he is almost here" Azrael managed to let out while groaning from the injury he sustained from his collision with Alpha Lucky.

Alpha Lucky was one step away, he raised his fist and unleashed his claws ready to swipe at Azrael and Alex.

He had an eerie smile as he brought his claws closer, when all of a sudden, both Alex and Azrael vanished into thin air.

Alpha Lucky swiped nothing but air. He looked around in bewilderment, confusion, and finally anger and he then roared, "Find... Them..."
