Chapter 40: Trouble 2!

Back in the Alex Bayly residence...

Alex Bayly was still trying to comfortably fold herself underneath her bed when a light suddenly flashed before her eyes. staring back at her, were the two pairs of eyes of the ghostly apparition of Bianca Zul.

Alex was frightened by the sudden appearance of Bianca Zul and what even made it even scarier is that her body seemed to pass through the bed without any resistance, this fact freaked her many times over.

Just as Alex was about to react to the strange appearance of Bianca Zul, Bianca Zul placed a finger on her mouth "Shhhhhhh" gesturing that Alex should keep quiet.

"I am a friend of Azrael, I've been watching over you for some time now without you knowing. I appeared because I want to help you survive longer till Azrael gets here..." Bianca Zul said.

Alex Bayly didn't react immediately, instead, she looked at Bianca Zul with a questioning gaze and started to think. 'What could Azrael do even if he gets here, and what exactly is the identity of this being.. is it a ghost or some kind of monster... Could she be the protector he was talking about? No, she has a ghost body, she says she has been watching over me, is Azrael also aware of this breach of privacy? What if she is a spy?... Wait she says she wants to help me...'

After pondering for a while Alex calmed down. It was at this time that a werewolf howl could be heard across the entire building.

It was the howl of an alpha, more barks, howls, and snorts followed immediately after. The howl had a domineering effect. Everything with a square mile seemed subdued.

It was loud, guttural, and piercing.

Alex found herself bleeding from her ears and nostrils while laying under the bed.

On seeing Alex bleeding, Bianca Zul reached out to her, "Alex follow me, trust me...." She said with her outstretched hand.

'What other option do I have?' Alex Bayly thought in her mind as she struggled to follow the ghostly apparition of Bianca Zul.

She pushed herself like a sloughing snake until she had gotten out from underneath the bed and followed Bianca Zul who used her body as a gateway through the wall.

After opening a passage through the wall with her body, Bianca Zul then looked back at Alex and said "Pass through..."

She wanted Alex to pass through her body which she used as a means for her to pass through the wall since going by the door was suicidal, it would just throw her straight into the path of the werewolves.

Alex was skeptical, but what other choice did she have? If she waited, eventually the werewolves would catch up with her, they had already picked up on her scent.

Alex moved hurriedly albeit tentatively through the space covered by Bianca Zul's ghostly apparition and she felt a chill as she passed through, but beyond that, it was a smooth movement from this side of the room to the next room.

Alex Bayly felt the chill stop after she had passed through. Bianca Zul also flashed and appeared beside her.

Almost immediately, a loud explosive sound that felt like the room next door was crashing could be heard.

~Gbooooooiiiruuuuulkkkkrrrrrrrggggggg~

The room they just left had been broken into and it collapsed under the force of the brutal strength of an alpha.

The alpha that came in was Alpha Lucky, he sniffed the air wondering where the strong scent of Alex Bayly that he had just perceived had disappeared to with no obvious sign of an exit.

He kept sniffing and he could perceive the scent but it was coming from the wall.

Alpha Lucky looked at the wall while tilting his head for a second. He squared his shoulders and was prepared to smash through the wall.

Bianca Zul could see through the wall and could see what was going on. She placed a finger on her mouth indicating that Alex should be quiet.

Alex felt her legs go wobbly. It was like it would give way if she didn't try to be braver. There was literally, an alpha werewolf in the room next to hers who had heightened senses. He could even smell her from a mile away.

She didn't know how she could escape this predicament of hers.

Bianca Zul kept making hand signals for her to remain calm. She knew that any slight shift could be picked up by the heightened hearing of the alpha werewolf, even her heartbeat was a dead giveaway.

In the midst of the eerie silence, Alpha Lucky spoke.

"Kannais... I can hear your heartbeat, I can even smell the cologne you put on. I came here initially to kill you... but I've changed my mind, I will let you live on one condition, you will be my slave...heheheh" Alpha Lucky said with a smile.

Almost immediately there was a sound from the door. Somebody dashed inside and was hobbling and wobbling past the other werewolves with an injured knee.

He kept moving without even caring about those around and calling out a name at the top of his voice...

"Aaalllleeeexxxxxxxxx, where are you....? Alex?"

Alex Bayly who was in the room that was opposite that of Alpha Lucky was able to detect immediately who was calling to her.

It was the same person who claimed to be her soul mate and had made her heart flutter over and over again, over the time they spent together.

She stood like a statue unsure of what to do. She was scared. She could tell that the individual next door was more beastly than human and she feared that he could kill Azrael without a second thought.

"Azrael run...., don't come here..." Alex shouted.

Alpha Lucky was smiling as he listened to Alex shout.

"Interesting" Alpha Lucky spoke with a deep voice as he smiled and started to move toward Azrael Herrington.

Azrael was wobbling towards the voice when a huge, hairy, and beastly paw suddenly gripped his neck and raised him up while squeezing tightly.

"And what do we have here...?" Alpha Lucky said with a smile.

Azrael made a painful sound as the restriction on his neck was starting to cut off oxygen from his lungs.

His legs ached, his knees were damaged and now the airflow through his neck was being restricted.

Without seeing what was happening, Alex could literally feel the pain Azrael was going through. It was almost as if she was going through it herself, which was majorly due to their proximity as soul mates and the close date of the full moon.

"Please stooopppp!!!" Alex screamed as she ran out from where she was hiding to face Alpha Lucky who held Azrael Herrington as if he was holding a plaything.

"Interesting..." Alpha Lucky said again while his teeth were revealed in the most bizarre smile ever.
