Chapter 25: Undercover Doctor!!!

A short while later, both Alex Bayly and Azrael Herrington arrived at the hospital.

When one sees this pair walk together, it is hard to tell that they are- teacher and student or that one was older than the other.

This was because, although Alex was 31 years old, she looked almost 7 years younger as if she was 24 or 25, while Azrael who was 17+ had a very mature look as if he was 23, which made them both look like the perfect couple.

Alex was stunning in the blue long blouse she wore.

As they walked down the grounds of the hospital, so many eyes were tailored in their direction as people wondered, 'What are the identities of this good-looking couple?'

They walked to the desk of the receptionist, shoulder to shoulder.

"We would like to perform a body check-up, and check for a possible injury to the back and the spine..." Azrael spoke with a bit of concern.

The receptionist who was also a nurse at the hospital looked up at both of them. "Who wants to undergo the check-up? or Are the both of you here for the same issue?" The nurse asked with a deep level of curiosity.

"Her..." Azrael pointed to Alex.

"So her back and her spine are both injured..." The nurse repeated the statement with a hint and a wink directed toward Azrael.

In her mind, the nurse felt both Azrael and Alex had mind-blowing couples activity that resulted in an injury to Alex and that's because of the strength of Azrael in bed so she winked at him and stared at his groin area.

Azrael felt embarrassed as he noticed that other nurses around the receptionist's desk were also smiling.

Where would he even begin his explanation that things were not as they seemed? Alex was also able to deduce the hidden message and she couldn't believe the weird thoughts in the minds of these nurses.

She initially was reluctant about coming to the hospital but now that she got here, the nurses here are having wild thoughts about her possible injury.

"This isn't a joke and you perverts should stop ironing out your dirty thoughts, I have a serious injury and I need to be checked out and treated, or is this how you guys behave to every customer that complains about back pains especially if their boyfriend or husband is around" Alex was angry as she spoke.

She didn't know that she just made matters worse. The mention of the word 'boyfriend' made Azrael very confused as he thought, 'Does she see me as her boyfriend...'

The nurses who already thought they were a couple didn't have any doubt in their minds about that statement, they only felt that they may have been too forward with their conclusion about the cause of Alex's injury.

"I apologize, young miss, I meant no disrespect. I will take down your details now for the issuing of the hospital bill and refer you to a doctor." The nurse in charge of the receptionist's desk apologized.

Alex Bayly became calm afterward.

"Name...? Age? Occupation..?" The nurse started to ask a series of questions which Alex Bayly responded to.

A folder was later created on the monitor screen in front of the nurse containing the details of Alex Bayly. After which she pointed in a direction...

"Go down this East wing, check for room 124, there is a doctor waiting for you there... I've informed him of your coming..." The nurse spoke politely.

Alex Bayly was still angry at the embarrassing insinuation that the nurse made earlier, she just turned and walked in that direction without looking back.

Azrael bowed politely to the nurse and apologized. "I'm sorry for her behavior, she's been through so much tonight," Azrael said to the nurses who winked back at him, getting the wrong idea again.

"We understand, but stop putting her through so much, so she won't be grumpy to others, just do it once in a while, give room for your members to rest... you get me" The nurse said with a wink and a thumbs up.

Azrael didn't even know what to say to that, he just turned and left, his face was as red as it could be.

A voice suddenly came from his left. "My nephew is so embarrassed... Should I kill those women..." the ghostly apparition of Bianca Zul spoke slowly.

Azrael was startled by her and almost shrieked. "What are you doing here? what if people see you..? And please don't kill anybody...okay?" Azrael was shocked to see her.

"Don't worry, only you can see me, I've made it that way. If I want others to see me they will...and I won't kill anybody unless I want to or you ask me to.." After saying that, Bianca Zul's ghostly apparition flashed and appeared beside Alex Bayly who looked back to check on Azrael.

Azrael wasn't comfortable with Bianca Zul around Alex but he had to be calm.

"Are you okay, you look flustered.." Alex asked when he saw how shifty and uncomfortable Azrael was.

Azrael marched up to Alex and pulled her into an embrace. This surprised Alex who experienced everything in shock.

"Azrael, what was that for? Do you want these perverted nurses to start thinking irrational thoughts again?" Alex said as she shoved him away playfully.

Azrael felt somewhat disappointed, he was starting to enjoy the scent of her body when she shoved him off, although it was mild and playful.

His plan was to hug her and keep Bianca Zul away. Bianca Zul who was watching him spoke. "Come on Nephew do you think I want to harm her, I'm on your side remember and we are family. The earlier you start trusting me, the better" She responded with a frown.

Azrael couldn't respond because Alex was there, it would be awkward for him to be whispering a response to the air when Alex was beside him.

Alex who wasn't aware of the conversation going on beside her placed a hand on the doorknob of room 24 as they got there. "Shall we?" She asked Azrael who nodded in response before she entered.

She opened the door and walked in slowly and, Azrael entered after her. The hospital was so large and long. It had eight floors, and each floor had roughly 80 rooms. Room 124 was on the first floor of the building.

As Azrael entered, his eyes fell on the doctor with a bald middle head and hair at the sides of his head.

He wore a white doctor's coat and had an eerie smile on his face. Suddenly, Bianca Zul spoke from the side, however only Azrael could hear her speak amongst the three in the room.

"Nephew, you need to pull your girlfriend and leave right now.. that doctor is not to be trusted, he is the Doctor for one of the other Alpha's who wants to kill the Kannais, this is Alpha Lucky's werewolf pack's doctor...."
