COMPLETED [Mature Content] My life has no meaning. I'm forty years old, a middle age woman. Some say I have a fulfilling life, an architect with a high salary, a one-bedroom condo unit and a face that, although not the most beautiful, certainly warrants a second look. The only thing people criticize about me is the emptiness of my ring finger. I'm not married and don't have a family of my own. I don't feel anything about it. I don't need a man in my life, and I hate kids. The only thing I regretted was how I lived my life. Half of it wasted in school and the other half wasted in work. Before I knew it, I'm already old and at my deaths bed - alone and dying. THEN I WOKE UP FROM THE DREAM. ---- Read my other works: I am the Queen (FL) Genre: Fiction, Mature, Modern Romance, StrongFL, RichFL, PoorML, ColdML Realm Wars (ML) Genre: Epic Fantasy, Action, Adventure, Mature, R18, Romance, RPGelements, GAMEelements, OPmc Angels, Demons, Sprites, Elves, Beastmen Generation of Heroes (ML) Genre: Action, Adventure, Epic Fantasy, Friendship, Magic, Beasts, Game Elements, Multiple Leads, OPmc, Romance, War, Military Trinity the Last White Witch (FL) Genre: Werewolf, Vampires, Witches, Fantasy, R18, Mature, ColdML, StrongFL ---- Stalk me here: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter: MiuNovels ---- Donate for my Milk Addiction: PayPal: Miu.2017@yahoo.com

The Right People

After four years

In seven hectares of land in the province far away from the hustling and bustling, laid an elegant, majestic modern house made of wood and glass.

A silhouette of a young girl was sitting on a chair in one of its cozy bedrooms. She was talking to someone on her computer, but her attention was on her thirty-six inches Wacom tablet, not sparing a glance at the person on the screen.

"The stocks are not looking good. Do you still need to buy some more?" asked a bright, crisp voice, evidently of a woman. Her voice was stern and confident, just like her person.

Long wavy red hair tightly raised in a clean bun. Seductive eyes hidden within thick-framed glasses. Nose, straight and proud. Lips, red, thick and pouty, highlighted by a face with prominent bone features. Her appearance was like one of those strict and seductive teachers in the movies.

Victoria Goulding, twenty-four years old well-known successful accountant and broker.

She's one of my advisor and agent when it came to money and stock matters. If I'm paranoid enough to count four times, Vic is the God of paranoia and would count one hundred times more.

"It's going to be like that for now, continue buying its shares," I said, not minding her disapproval look.

I knew that the electric company's shares would continue to plummet. But in days, a new CEO would take over, and the stock would skyrocket.

"If it's nothing more, you may go, Vic," I said in a dismissive tone.

Victoria opened her mouth to say something but was cut short by Michael. A well-built man with an overwhelming aura. Gorgeous, with overflowing male pheromones. His strong chiseled face was like carved by a skilled sculptor.

But the most enticing about him was his pair of dark obsidian eyes that penetrated your very soul. It was like with just one looked, he already knew everything about you.

Michael Hyde, a twenty-seven years old famous lawyer. He had won many cases that even if I added my past age to my present one, it wouldn't be enough. It was due to his reputation that in the future, hiring him would cost you an arm and a leg.

This type of man was the epitome of every girl's dream. Tall, toned, handsome, and talented.

Sadly, he was already engaged to Vic.

"The contracts are ready for you and your father's signature. I'll e-mail them within the day," he reported with his deep voice, which was pleasant to the ears.

"Mmm . . . ," I hummed in response, attention locked on my tablet, drawing non-stop.

My actions were considered rude and unconcerned, but they had long grown accustomed to it. They long accepted the fact that I was too lazy and didn't want to speak much.

Recruiting these two weren't easy considering my age. Fortunately, the Michael three years ago wasn't well-known –– yet.

He wanted to build his firm and in need of money. As for me, I might not belong in the top ten wealthiest people in the world, I was probably one of the world's richest person at the age of eleven.

I invested in his firm, and along the way, he introduced me to his fiancée, Vic.

I had other accountants and brokers, as well as, lawyers. But these two were the boss of them all. Though I trusted the two of them completely, a fallback was never a wrong choice.

After they reported their monthly updates, we said our goodbyes.

Not long after, another handsome man appeared on the screen.
