Chapter 10 - The Christmas Wedding

After waking up with hour of jetlag, I woke up to the room which I called home. To the wall in front of me, I could see the poster of me and my ex clasping our promise necklaces.

Those painful memories came running back towards me. That part of my life was nothing but a lie. How I wished that I could forget about the hours of distress, sorrow and depression that surged towards me.

°°°°°PING°°°°

A text from Zach. Wondering what he had sent, I heard a knock upon my door.

"Ms Claudette, the dresses master has bought for you have now arrived. Do seek to the jewellery box the bride has picked for you."

I know my father is happy with his new found love, but I still couldn't face the fact that she was going to stay, permanently.

'Chlo, are you awake?'

'Yh'

'Do you mind if you can take me to buy a tuxedo?'

'Sure, no problem'

Aww, how I love a good old shopping spree. Nothing feels good than do see the sales drop at Christmas. Something tells me that this happiness was too good to be true.

Arriving at the Tuzlemono, I saw two familiar faces walking towards us. Blinking madly, my jaw dropped in aw. Wow, what a small small world we live in.....

ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

"Hiya friends, long time no see!"

Ugh, the sound of Tiffanys' voice just wants to make me puke. She's a stuck up drama queen with no speck of kindness inside her heart.

"Hi Tiffany, it's good to see you too, but why on earth are you in LA???"

I asked whilst trying keep my cool.

"Oh my lord, I found this hottie on Tinder and he offered to take me as his date to a wedding on Xmas. He's such a babe!!"

Surely, many people in LA love to have weddings at Christmas so surely it wouldn't be the one I'm going to.

"A guy called Blake is taking me, apparently he knows you from a former flame or something"

OML?!?!

That's when I clenched Zachs' hoodie.

All those vicious, horrible memories came flooding back to me as if I was reliving the moment.

Walking up to us, I could see Blake drinking Coke and texting.

"Oh, hello poo Bear"

"Chloe, let's go, your dad's calling."

Zach understanding my situation meant the world to me.

°^°^°^°^°^°^°^°^°^°^°^°^°^°^°^°^°^°^°

"I'm sorry you didn't get to buy that tux. It's all my fault for letting the past catch up with me."

You don't need to apologise, everyone has their fair share of bad memories. Just remember to not let you crown fall down queen.

Blushing happily ,we held hands as we were walking back to the limo. I remember my mom telling me that when I was bullied in preschool for wearing glasses.

BRINGGGGGGGG

A unknown number. Must be kids trying to prank call me or something.

Picking up the phone, I heard a woman wailing as she called out my name.

"Chloe, please help, there's a man. He's trying to ha.... SMACK.

I recognised the voice, similar to mothers but with a higher pitch.

Hmm.

"Chlo, what's wrong?" asked Zach as glanced at me.

"Someone called me for help but I don't know who?"

"Probably some kids prank calling, it happens all the time."

♡.....♡....♡..... ♡

Hmm, the smell of lasagne.

I was practically drooling as we walked into the dining room.

"Hello children, how was your day today?"

"The worst, İ saw Blake Flinchwood. Remind me why they're going to your wedding again?"

"Sorry love but we've been in partnership with the Flinchwoods for years and the partnership contract is still intact."

As we ate our food, the chef burst into the room, crying.

"The wedding cake İ spent days on has been EATEN. EATEN by the ghastly kids touring your estate today."

"Don't fret Doria, İ'll hopefully find a replacement."

With the chef leaving in tears, my dad searched for a replaceable cake for his big night.

"Shoot, İ cant find anyone to make the cake on time.

Shaking his head in dismay, İ came to whisper to dads ear.

"İll bake it for you dad don't worry, you just get yourself ready, ill have the cake ready by tommorow.

"Aww bless you my sweet pie, thank you so much."

"Anything for you dad"!
