With determination and a sense of responsibility towards my team, I approached the scorer's table. I noticed skepticism and doubt in the eyes of my teammates and the crowd. But I was ready to show them what I got.
The game continues in our possession. Our point guard slowly crosses the half-court line while surveying the floor, searching for a flaw in Teiko's defense that he can exploit.
Just as he stands there, surveying the court, he notices Akashi attempting to steal the ball. Flustered by this, he protects the ball with his body, but Akashi still manages to get a piece of it and pokes it out of bounds.
As the game entered a deadball situation, I was brought in as a substitute. My teammates were initially surprised to see me, but then they smiled and welcomed me onto the court.
Ogiwara approached me and jokingly said, "Look who decided to join us, guys. Ichigo finally showed up!" with a smile.
One by one, I gave high-fives to my teammates and said, "Before we continue, I just want to say how proud I am of all of you. Trust me, I'll lead us to victory."
My teammates chuckled, not fully taking my words seriously. But that won't stop me. I'm determined to give my best until the very last second of the game.
With a pounding heart and adrenaline coursing through my veins, I stepped onto the court, ready for the daunting challenge ahead. I knew it wouldn't be easy, but I was determined to give it my all.
Joined by my teammates, I felt a surge of energy in the air. Doubt and skepticism were replaced by determination and resilience. Despite facing formidable opponents, we were united and prepared to fight.
Taking my position, anticipation built. Teiko, the opposing team, radiated confidence with unmatched talent and undeniable dominance. However, I refused to be intimidated.
(3rd person POV)
At Teiko's side, the Generation of Miracles watched the Meiko team with newfound determination.
"Hoh, they really looked fired up after that guy came in. I wonder who that guy was?" Kise Ryota asked playfully.
"Just by observing them, you can deduce that he was their best player," replied Midorima Shintaro, adjusting his glasses with his hands.
"Interesting... maybe he can pose a challenge in this boring game," Aomine Daiki said monotonously, not really impressed.
"Doesn't matter. In the end, we will win no matter what happens," said Akashi Seijuro, the red-haired captain of Teiko. "It's their destiny to bow down to their betters, and it's our destiny to emerge victorious," he added.
"Can I go home now? I'm feeling hungry already," Murasakibara said lazily, clearly indicating that his focus was not on the game.
"But you just ate in the locker room before the game started. How can you be hungry already?" Kise questioned.
As the game restarts, Meiko Junior High has the ball. The referee signals for the inbound, and Ichigo passes the ball to their point guard. The point guard crosses the mid-court line while looking for an opening. He quickly passes the ball to Ogiwara, who is being tightly defended by Aomine Daiki.
