The sun was barely up when Jessie's feet hit the floor. She was thankful to Zach that he'd found the flash drives, and the earring, yet the ache in her heart after learning her friend was a dirty cop made her sick to her stomach. Jessie filled her thermal coffee mug, and just as she was about to rush out the door, she saw the box of salted caramels sitting on the dining room table. She was sure it would put a smile on Audrey's face, especially since she had another favor to ask with this new piece of evidence. Jessie shoved the candy into her briefcase and headed out the door.
