Kei's somewhat interesting day.

[Kei Uzumaki's POV]

I awoke from my slumber as my eyes scanned the bluury surroundings, refocusing my eyesight completely. Sliding out of bed, I quickly made a few observations around the nearly desolate room before turning to Naruto, who slept soundlessly.

I quietly got out of bed before starting my everyday morning ritual of 150 push-ups, 150 benches, 300 squats, and then a 16-kilometre run.

Sounds impressive, right? But this routine is one I've been doing since I was 4 back then. Only it progressed much faster due to the natural enhancements to my physical capabilities because of chakra.

When I got back to my room, I was breathing a bit heavier than before, but it wasn't noticeable as I had already reperfected the art of controlled breathing.

I stared at Naruto, who was still sleeping heavily. I chose not to wake him and instead focused on finishing my morning exercises.

With a quick right spinning kick, I twirled around before performing a left sided one as well, followed by a series of them, then finished with a powerful front flipped axe kick. After that, I took two quick steps backwards before I lunged forwards using a palm strike followed by a jab, then a hook punch, which was finished by a spinning back hand. I then performed a push kick to do nothing with since I was training alone right now.

Either way, this sequence on style combinations surprisingly works well together. I just need to make it more efficient. Perhaps I would perform the push kick before I moved 2 steps backwards? I can see merit in that idea.

Either way, I was gaining my old martial arts abilities back quickly, and that made me somewhat happy.

Soon, I could train Naruto in a style, but first, I needed to learn a few more things. Since Naruto is still asleep, I think paying the library a visit would be a good idea.

Opening up the door to the orphanages tranquil library section, I felt at ease as I walked over and grabbed a certain book that I wanted to read.

The cover had a leaf green colouring with a 5 leaf clover embedded upon it. Oh, and on the four leaf clover laid the title of the book.

[The great shinobi wars]

That was the name of a book I'd been reading for the past 2 months. Mainly because it covered every single detail in the wars and the period of peace soon after. Also, because I enjoy reading. It gave me a sense of contentment I'd normally never have.

It was also one of the few hobbies that I was allowed to have in that place.

Seeing my thoughts take this turn, I stopped thinking and just opened the book.

The book detailed many events over all of the 3 great shinobi wars with more detail than I expected, with many details being about how Hashirama fought for an entire day against the enemy and still won. He only died because of chakra exhaustion. No, I should refer to him as the Shodaime to show him the respect he deserved.

The same could be said for all Hokage in general. They were people who did all they could to protect Konoha, but in Hiruzen's old age, he became content with Konoha as it stood. Thus, he became soft. He handed it over to the Yondaime for this reason.

But then everything happened, and in order to protect Konoha, he took the Hokage position back. Of course, damage to Konoha's structure happened to a degree I couldn't understand without the proper information. But I knew one thing.

Konoha was currently rooted in corruption.

[Third person POV]

In the Orphanages entrance stood a short, frail looking old man who had a cane on him. He had a bandage that covered his right eye as for his left eye. It was of a black colour, which was the same as his shaggy hair. However, what failed to make this frail appearance an initial assessment of him was the X shaped scar located on his chin and the way he carried himself.

"Danzo Sama. What do you need from us today." A woman appeared suddenly. She had brown hair tied into a bun and caramel hazel eyes.

"I am here to adopt a child." The old man known as Danzo stated cryptically without his face moving a single bit.

Danzo knew there were some orphanage matriarch's or staff he didn't have control over. And he knew one of them could listen in.

"Ah yes, I'll go collect it for you." The woman said before turning around. Efficiency was important to Danzo, and so as soon as she finished, she left to collect what Danzo wanted.

As Danzo stood by waiting, a young blonde haired girl with deep amethyst eyes scanned him from afar. The girl had recently left the library and was heading down towards the dining room to get some breakfast. But this was far more interesting to her.

Not saying anything, she walked towards the man with an apathetic expression on it. By the time Danzo noticed the girl was already in front of him with an inquisitive gaze.

Her eyes stared at him silently before her mouth opened.

"Hey, old man, what are you doing here?" She already knew why, but she wanted to confirm something. The man stared at the child that he recognised due to her status as one of the Kyuubi Jinchuriki's. And one of the 2 people he planned to turn into the villages strongest weapons. He opened his mouth to answer with a tone befitting somebody who wanted to adopt a child.

"I'm here to adopt someone." He spoke to the girl who looked surprisingly perceptive. Her gaze looked at him for a moment before asking another question.

"But you appear to be really, really old. Why adopt a child at that age?" Danzo asked himself how a child's voice could be so monotone. Nor how one could have such an emotionless expression.

"I'm adopting so I can continue my family name." He answered after thinking of a lie.

"So you haven't got a wife. Well, you must be alone then." Danzo found himself annoyed at what he knew as the child accidently insulted him. At least, that is what he thought.

[Kei Uzumaki's POV 10 minutes of talking to Danzo and insulting him "accidentally"]

Okay, I believe this is enough talking to Danzo for now. This much should give me enough info on Danzo's personality enough for when phase 1 begins.

"Well, old man, I'm hungry, so I'm heading to the dining room, so I'll see you again if we ever meet again." I said.

"See you then, kid." He looked pissed but was doing an excellent job of hiding it. I must admit the weakest of us in that place probably couldn't see through that act of his.

However, it does make the future quite interesting. I look forward to what you can do...
