KDA x Male Reader // Absolute Zero

"After a few fortunate... maybe unfortunate circumstances have occurred however you wish to perceive it but for our group, it might be a real big deal or just enough publicity to get us noticed so that we may finally soar in this industry. Even then with all that has happened will we ever blow out like the stars that rose all around us?"

Chapter 3

"So... who are you exactly?"

She stares up after stuffing her face. Taking her time to chew I also take a bite off my breakfast. Ever since we came into this restaurant with the few people you usually would expect to see this early occasionally glance at our table.

Wiping her mouth she smiles, "What is it that you would like to know?"

Narrowing my eyes I lean in closer, lowering my voice, "They seem to recognize you. These aren't the type of people that would know of street performers."

She leans backward, looking around. She then finally nods, "You seem to know yourself around the underground areas. Don't see these people around a lot?"

"I guess you would see them around," closing my eyes I squeeze the bridge of my nose, "My gut says so at least. So let's say they do but there is more to you than I see in front of me. Or am I looking too deeply into this?"

Still wearing her smile she nods, taking a sip from the caffeine she leans in closer, "I think that is the case with most. Behind closed doors aren't we all a little bit different?" Tilting my head in response, she continues, "You aren't wrong but you will know soon enough okay?"

"Yes, of course." Clearing my throat, "So about the deal-"

Cutting me off she states, "We have plenty of time to talk business today. Let's just talk for now."

Leaning back into the chair I take a sip from my drink, "Alright."

"Is it just the three of you or were there others?"

"It has always just been the three of us. We had some people occasionally checking out or group and their interest either fades or we just turn them down. They just didn't seem to fit into it as well as we'd hoped. So we just stuck with the old group."

"More about you then. Any relationships?"

I chuckle, "Currently no. In the past, there were a few. None ended terribly where we all ended up hating each other but it went as much as you'd expect. What about yourself?"

She shrugs her eyes trailing off, "Have had my fair share with love. Though recently I focused most of my time and dedication to our group so I can and could only manage once-off arrangements." Meeting my eyes, "Though I am not against the idea."

That's good, making eye contact I feel uneasy as if I don't know what to add further. Finishing my drink she still staring at me.

"That is good news."

"Hmmm," she smiles, "I imagine it is."

The longer I stare at her the more and more she seems enticing. She is a beauty but in that, I find myself at a loss for words. More so not because I have nothing to say but much rather than I am stunned. Given normal circumstances, I would never be in this position but alas a good change of pace.

Her gaze still fixated on me, "I don't get around as much. It is not every day that I get to spend my day with someone like you?"

"Like me?" raising her eyebrow.

"As beautiful of course. Well that and-"

She chuckles at my response, "It's cute that you are so anxious near me but don't worry about me too much."

Rubbing my brow I scream to myself; this couldn't possibly be worse in any way.

She suddenly calls one of the waiters asking for our bill. Before I could even make a move towards my wallet she has already dropped cash on the table. I dropped half the amount on top of her pile.

"Might as well go half-half on the bill."

She shakes her head letting out a slight giggle, she takes back her half stuffing it into one of her pockets. She then let out a dramatic sigh, sliding out of the booth she gestures for the car.

"Let's get those questions you can't stop thinking about answered."

"Alright, let's get going."

Making our way past them I could hear some hushed whispers asking 'is that her?' or 'she eats here too? should we go say something?'. The one that caught my attention asking 'who is he to her?'

I would like to also know. Now somewhere between colleagues and friends. Holding the door open we slide past the door. In the car, I stare back at the building, some of the faces inside rushing to the window. Strange...

Her expression was a lot more serious than a few moments ago. Occasionally glancing at me I was starting to worry.

"You ready?" she brings us to a stop near a supermassive building.

"As ready as I'll ever be."

Entering the building the lady at the receptionist's table lit up as she saw us. It would obviously be expected but in this case, it's more that she obviously lives here and everything points towards a high-life apartment.

It was almost a luxury hotel just by the look of it. The only people in are the building's security so that you don't steal the art that belonged in a museum or the plants that seemed to be much greener than they are supposed to be.

"Come let's get going," I nod following her into the elevator. She reaches for the top button and my expectations and thoughts were suddenly all over the place.

Staring at her she keeps her eyes locked onto the slide doors. Coming to a halt they slowly slide open to a small hallway. One door leading to the right and an other leading to the left. Walking down it she presses through the right revealing the penthouse. It was a quality high-life experience and you could see so much more than what I could. It was awesome!

Following her into the house she screams, "I am back!"

In an instant, three gorgeous women burst out around the corners of the house as if they waited for her. Bewildered I stare as they come to greet her with hugs and smiles plastered on their faces.

"The hell have you been? You say you are going out to do some work and help out, next thing we know you are gone for two days!" she seemed almost like a house mother with her wild pink hair.

"Give her a break Eve you know how she is when she is on the streets the only thing stopping her is the cops," she laughs. She had ears like a fox, she was a platinum-headed beauty.

The last one laughed with giving her a smile, "It's good to see you save Akali." She seemed much tamer than the rest.

What the hell? Where the fuck am I right now!? I would only ever expected to be in this situation in my wildest dreams surrounded by four incredibly hot women. Now I just feel like I jumped out a show or a book. It is surreal.

The rest of them notice me standing awkwardly staring at them.

"Who is this? Another one Akali?"

She shakes her head, "No Eve it isn't like that. He-"

"He looks incredibly cute and a lot less timid than the rest that met us."

"Would you all just sit down and let me actually speak before your bizarre assumptions will drive the man insane."

"That and Eve," the fox girl joked. They all laugh at her remark, giggling their way to the couches.

Bewildered I follow them, looking around I lower myself slowly onto one of the couches. Still staring at me it felt more and more that a hole was being looked through me.

"Okay. So this is Evelynn, Ahri, and Kai'Sa," gesturing to each of them in turn before I could muster a response Ahri exclaimed.

"He doesn't know who we are?"

Evelynn raises her eyebrow, "Do you live under a rock or something."

Then Kai'Sa adds almost defusing the tension, "But doesn't this seem to be a nice change of pace? I mean he isn't jumping at everything we say."

Continuing she adds, "And this is (Y/n) (L/n)."

Lowering my head, "I am pleased to meet you all."

"Okay wait wait wait wait. Back to not knowing about us what do you do? Are you like that busy that you never even heard anybody talk about us?"

I muster a smile, forcing the words out trying to not sound ridiculous. "That depends on who you are?"

Kai'Sa interjects before anything off track could be said, "We are K/DA, we recently blew up with our single that we released named Popstars."

By every passing second, I just feel more and more like an idiot. Just if I bothered reading up about the group I would have known something about them but despite knowing K/DA existed I didn't bother as I was too focused on our own growth.

"He looks so confused," Ahri says.

"What did you expect? He just learned that he is sitting across popstars," Evelynn laughs.

That and it feels so wrong! I talked to Akali this entire time with no idea who and what she is. Is that an insult? It feels like an insult.

Akali adds, "He is part of that group I said I was going to help out. I managed to get them to sign up with a record company now I just need to help him out a bit."

"Oh them! I am glad that they are doing well." She then turns to face me, she seemed oddly familiar as if I saw her before, "Sorry about the rude awakening."

"It is a pleasure to meet you," Kai'Sa adds with Ahri.

The both of them shake their head with a smile. Though Evelynn is still staring a hole through my soul. Glancing at Akali who seemed worried earlier seems a lot more relaxed than before we went up.

I then smile looking back at them, "The pleasure is mine!"

"It's still kind of weird. I mean you work in the music industry yet you didn't really know who we are. That is pretty funny."

"Well... I don't work for any record companies. I just help my friends and occasionally DJ at the clubs is all."

Akali then adds, "He has some real talent in producing music. If we didn't do our own things I'd seriously recommend having him help us out."

Evelynn has a slight smile across her face, "That so. I for one would like to see what you are capable of producing."

They all simultaneously agree with her. All wearing their smiles I feel cornered.

Nodding, "I would gladly."

"I brought him up to meet you guys and I felt this was the best way to break it to him who we were. We are heading out again-"

"Wait Akali, Kai'Sa, and I worked on something for next week. Come look at it quickly."

The three of them quickly left to a different room where I was left alone with Evelynn. She visibly relaxes back into the chair her eyes still locked onto me.

"Do you have anything planned with Akali?"

Shocked by the question, "Planned? I am not so sure what you-"

She shakes her head, smirking, "Just know if you hurt her in any way. Let's just say I will find you." The longer I look at her I could see something hidden around her.

Not a second later Akali leaves gesturing for me to get up, I jump at the opportunity lowering my head, "Thank you for having me!"

"No worries, (Y/n). Please visit soon!"

Was I just threatened!? I know people have powers much like myself but what was that demonic aura? What did I just get myself into?

Looking at Akali as we leave a thought crossed my mind. Chuckling to myself; I am going to die.
