Task

A task had been put forward for the White Storm to participate in which did not involve anything related to any of the current powers in the world but was instead to investigate a dangerous island.

Out of the thousands of islands that exist on the seas, there were some which had been left unexplored and had been cut off from the rest of the world.

The islands had too many dangers from the environment or its inhabitants which lead to many failures in peoples attempts to explore them.

In most cases, entire exploration teams did not return and had went missing while on a rare occasion, a sole survivor came back to tell the tale about the horrors they had experienced.

There had been a request to explore one of those places in the New World so the danger level was very high so Alyssia had chosen to tell most others to stay away from it.

A smaller and more skilled team was formed from those that had come to the New World to take on the task while the others that remained were being kept busy with more minor tasks.

As Alyssia saw the ship which was getting closer to her own, she clicked her tongue. "This is definitely a trap but how can I possibly decline?"

The task had clearly been sent to the White Storm to let them be weakened and be put in danger so Alyssia and others had suspected that one of the current powers had requested it.

If the task failed then the White Storm would lose many of its people and their reputation would have dropped in the process but even if they did somehow complete it, there would have to be many casualties to do so.

Coming to the New World and trying to establish a place for the White Storm would not he so easy to do and there would always be those who were able to exploit certain areas of the business or reputation of the White Storm for their own gains or to harm the White Storm.

A simple way was to use a little pressure on those within that had gotten over confident to make them take on things they could not handle while a simpler way would be to create a large task with a big payoff.

Fortunately the task had been accepted but was not released publicly to the White Storm mercenaries so that many lives would be saved along with the overall reputation of the White Storm.

It had been held off until Alyssia was free once more which gained a little criticism and exposure about the task and how the White Storm had only been talking big but did not do anything worthwhile.

Many ordinary members began to make requests out of shame wanting to join but they were turned away by Aizah who was managing most of the business affairs in the New World.

Public criticism had reached an all time high until the White Storm finally announced that they had been putting an elite team together to carry out the task.

The public opinion was changed from mockery to curiosity and excitement because the task was announced to be a triple X ranked mission that would have a very high risk of failure.

An attack on the White Storm which could affect their future business had been turned over once the preparations had been made and the announcement had been released to the world.

Many still believed that the White Storm was too arrogant and were seeking death but they would only have to wait to find out the results.

She was sitting on the front end of the ship while sitting crosslegged, the hair on her body had become visibly whiter than before and the markings on her eyes showed the progression into her unlocking of her bloodline limit which had pushed past fifty percent and was moving closer to seventy five percent.

Electro surrounded her body and was flickering around but each part of it remained close to her without straying too far away.

The amount of Electro that Alyssia could control had increased dramatically but she rarely got to test out how powerful it could be when utilised in ways other than physical combat.

She had unlocked more than half of the Electro potential which could be gained when transforming into her Sulong form so although Alyssia could not perform huge feats like Enel, she definitely had some tricks up her sleeve.

One second, she was sitting in place with her eyes closed with a calm look on her face then the next, she disappeared and there were several flashes on top of the water.

Each step was very light on top of the water and Alyssia moved across quickly barely making contact with it before she had already moved to another location.

The ship in front of her had many familiar auras on it but there was a large aura nearby which had come near the surface of the water.

Alyssia appeared by the side of the ship then stepped upward into the sky, Electro surrounded her body then condensed in her hand. "How pitiful."

While in the air as her body was facing towards the sea below, her hand formed a claw shape and her arm went back until it was pushed forward which sent a large force downward. "Descending Storm Claw."

The Electro combined with the strong downward claw strike sent down a large amount of electro which had begun in the shape of a large claw.

The large amount of wind created by the attack only seemed to help push the Electro downwards where it was already travelling and aided in the impact on the top of the water.

A large sea creature appeared after surfacing at that moment but it was soon hit by the Electro claw and the combined wind attack assisting it.

Alyssia stayed in the air and released more Electro towards her palm which pushed downward to increase the Electro sent towards the sea creature.

The Electro claw made contact with the large creature which seemed to be a giant sized shark that could destroy a ship in one bite then as the claws reached towards it to pierce it, the Electro claw passed through its body which followed by the continued Electro which followed behind.

The strong impact from the first attack had injured it while the continued Electro attack at a high voltage had fried most of its internal organs.

The shark stopped moving and seemed to be dead while the remains of the Electro that lingered around in the air or water and did not disperse had made a sudden turn in direction.

It turned back in its previous direction and then shot back up towards Alyssia who adjusted herself in the air before landing on the ship. "Hey everyone. Long time no see."
