While everything was taking place and the news was spreading far and wide, Alyssia was on a journey back towards another location.

She lay back in a comfy chair with a blanket over her, a water bottle and several other things scattered around the table.

A tea cup filled with hot honey water was in a her hand as she took small sips while gazing at the newspaper in her other hand.

A little irritation was on her face as she lay back feeling uncomfortable. 'Hah.. all my efforts to make myself resistant to many things and to become practically invincible in this world but it comes down to this time to make me truly feel helpless.'

It was her time of the month and even with the advanced science and medical skills, all she could do was prescribe herself with a way to lessen the pain and discomfort in her body during that time.

In order to take her mind off it, she made herself comfortable and caught up on some research and the news.

She read through the articles but ended up frowning. "No mention of the battle with Blackbeard… but I expected this to happen. Now I just have to wait for things to proceed forward so that I can see what would be the best option available.

No doubt about it.. the Marines and World Government must be eager to put a collar around my neck so they are trying to suppress what they can for the time being so that there will be less coming to recruit me,

If Sengoku understood what he managed to pull from my mouth then he or someone else should be able to come up with some way to lure me in. It just depends on what they can offer and if it is enticing enough to make me want to give in to them.

I expect more offers coming in soon but I doubt some will be too friendly so it is good that I have already made preparations of my own."

As she talked to herself going over everything, she recalled that many were in vulnerable positions and could be targeted when she was nowhere near them.

They would be used as hostages and could be targeted at any time if she was not compliant to certain demands.

There was no way Alyssia would move forward with such a large bold move without any preparations beforehand.

If those within her inner circle had already achieved enough power to protect themselves from harm then she did not need to worry about them too much even if they were targeted.

If they were met with an opponent they could not stand against then there was still the Devil Ape companions each of them had with them.

The king of the Devil Apes remained on her ship to guard it but so many others were scattered around with each person who was a higher up in the White Storm.

They were highly valuable targets who Alyssia had invested much into nurturing so she would not let them go undefended.

Alyssia felt something jump up onto the blanket over her and she saw a small cat with wings on its back along with fluffy feathers on its limbs and neck. "Little li.. I am still impressed that you can come to me this shamelessly."

The small cat tilted her head as if she did not know what she had done wrong. "Mwow?"

The finger of Alyssia poked the small head of little Li as if scolding her. "I know you probably wanted to stick close to guard your master. I appreciate it really… but how about you have a little more concern about others too?"

Little Li had been on the ship during the battle but she did not come put to fight off the Blackbeard pirates.

Alyssia understood that perhaps it was a battle that would be difficult for little Li but it would have been an opportunity for her to gain more experience while fighting alongside everyone and her creations.

With the altered space suit over her body, little Li would be far more difficult to harm by ordinary means and she was able to gain more mastery over her Lynx Devil Fruit.

She was able to transform her body between her small size and a larger full Lynx size while changing her body to match certain needs so she was very useful in battle.

Her growth from eating the food produced from the Boin Island research had helped her to grow much stronger but it required a lot of exercise and time to work off all the fat she had gained from overeating them the first time.

Little Li may not have been able to stand up to many of the creations made by Alyssia but she was able to at least survive if any troublesome opponent suddenly attacked.

So long as she did not fight someone on the level of the Ten Titanic Captains then she could probably escape unharmed.

In the battle against the Blackbeard pirates, Alyssia had expected little Li to at least take on the cannon fodder on the ship but it seemed that little Li would rather sleep lazily by her healing chamber.

It could be explained that little Li just wanted to be the one to protect her master and be the final line of defence but Alyssia did not believe it.

She knew that her cat was just too lazy to fight so she had been ignoring little Li for some time as a way of punishing her.

Seeing the cute eyes looking at her clueless of what she had done wrong, Alyssia stroked the head of little Li. "Fine.. I give up. Do what you want."

As if sensing her approval, little Li stretched out her body before finding a comfortable spot on top of the blanket and fell asleep letting out some purrs.
