Karate Island #4

The contest of strength continued as they each tested each other's limits.

It was a face off between a thirty one year old Fishmen who had ten times the strength of a human since birth and double that power in the water who had trained for many years since a young age, against a sixteen year old Mink who was a naturally born fighter from birth with very high abilities as she continued to train hard from a young age.

Like two strong steel clamps they continued to put more strength into their grip and revealed no changes to the smiles on their faces.

After a long time, Alyssia was able to find the limitations in Monera's strength and applied more pressure before releasing her grip. "You are strong. I look forward to watching you fight."

Monera looked down at her hand  in a daze and then clenched it with a determined look in her eyes. "I look forward to watching yours too. It seems that this competition is going to be more interesting than I first thought. I will see you again, for now I will go back to train. I cannot have myself losing to someone a little over half my age..."

Although her strengths were mostly best shown in the water, today Alyssia had shown her that her races superiority in strength was still lacking compared to someone younger than herself which made her wish to improve herself more.

Although Alyssia was not her opponent for the competition, there may be others out there who could defeat her in combat.

Now that she is on land and away from water, the effectiveness of her own martial arts had been reduced too.

She left to train herself before her appearance in the competition but as she left, Alyssia's eyes turned cold. 'There was never any mention of a Star Shark Fishmen in any part of the story that I can recall... this can only mean several things, either she was a low key character with high strength or she died or was enslaved before or during the original time line."

As she tested Monera's strength, she found that Monera possessed very high strength stats which could allow her to put up a fight against some very strong opponents and even cause problems for and defeat those with a high bounty of a hundred to two hundred million berries when around water.

While within the water, she would have the advantage and be able to defeat slightly stronger opponents so long as she has the advantage within the water while they are at a disadvantage.

For such a character who is so devoted to increasing their abilities to show up here and not be a part of the people she knew from the original sent warning signs in her head.

She walked back to her room and began to clear her mind and focus as she entered her training state of mind. "It is simple to solve if there are any problems ahead. I just need to keep a watchful eye on her during the competition as it may be something that happens here or could happen later."

If she was being honest, she hoped to recruit Monera but they had only met once so far so she had to focus on the events surrounding the competition on Karate Island.

Her mind became calm and tranquil as Electro came out of her body and began to cover her with a thin layer as it lingered there and small sparks penetrated deep into her body.

The Electro continued to go towards the muscles and tendons in her body and stimulate them with with the assistance of her careful control of energy.

She had slowly learned how to grasp this technique a while ago and could now do it all over her body but it required a calm mind and deep concentration.

The amount of pain or irritation that surged throughout her body could easily cause her to break her concentration and suffer an injury so she continued to slowly get used to it a little at a time as she strengthened her body.

She had other ideas for other techniques to increase her combat power for a short time using a similar method but there were limitations to the amount of Electro within her body that would not allow her to coat her entire body and use such an ability without draining her completely.

Even then the amount of time spent in that state would be short.
