CHAPTER 12

Kyle still can't think of any reason why Kythem did not accept his love, as well as Kythem friends. This is the last time their class schedule for their merge class in mathematics and section B was entering the classroom. He knew Kythem was coming too, and he can't deny that he was waiting for her despite what answer he got on Kythem. He misses Kythem so much. He still feels happy every time he thinks he sees the woman.

Kyle saw outside the window that Kythem was walking alone in the hallway while chewing the food she was holding when suddenly, someone approached her and grabbed her hand where she holding the food and bite it.

Kythem pretended to be annoyed like a child who was robbed of food. "Trickeee!" she just said but she just smiled at them. "That flavor tasted better!" Vins further explained to her while enjoying to his mouth the food he robbed to Kythem.

" Just says that you're getting revenge because I tasted your food earlier!" but Kythem just answered him this way while eating the last bite.

" You just tasted it? As far as I know, it's been reduced a lot." but Vins was teasing her.

"The flavor you have earlier was my favorite too!" but she just explained it the same as earlier.

" You're getting fat that's why I just helped you to diet." but Vins just teasing her again and unexpectedly Vins squeezing her left cheek afterward. But they were stopped when they felt different from what surrounds them.

All was stop and quiet after they saw the two were entering the classroom just like that. The two are aware but they just ignored it. Especially what Kythem hears about her which is not an ordinary word to hear.

After a minute when the class begins Kyle still couldn't focus on their class because he was glancing in the direction of Vins and Kythem who were sitting next to each other while huddling. He doesn't want to think or give any malice to the two's by seeing in that way because he's the only one who will be hurt by what he can imagine but he can't deny that he's hurt and jealous because he's not the cause of Kythem's smile now.

It's the end of their merge class hour in the subject of mathematics, they one by one left the classroom. Kyle was still there when Vins spoke.

"Let's do hot pot!" Vins invite Kythem while he was messing Kythem's hair.

"You're ruining my hairstyle again. If it's not my cheek, you will do this!" Kythem complained to him while fixing her hair that Kyle let himself helped to fix it again.

"It's cute even more when it looks like this mess!" but still he jokingly to Kythem.

"Tss ... as long as you treat the hot pot!" but she just let it be to make sure of it.

"Of course I'm the one who invited you, it's my treat!" She was satisfied more what Vins' answered. It was as if Kyle had inadvertently sneered at what he heard but even if he tried to hide it, it was still obvious to his friends.

"Gyes do you want to come?" Kythem asked her friends next. "I'm sorry we have something to do!" but Veira answered immediately. Lyka would have said something but Veira stopped her from speaking.

" It's okay, surely will do it next time but now I'll go with Vins first. Also Veira, after this I'll go straight to home." Kythem farewell to her friend after Veira nodded in response to what she told. They saw that the two were now leaving and walk next to each other.

"Are we going to do something, it's a hot pot. It's a kind of fun while getting a meal!" Lyka said as the two were no longer in front of them.

"We weren't even asked again!" Lester regretfully said.

"Let's go!" but Veira what said.

"Hot pot, too?" Lyka asked excitedly.

"It's Friday so our allowance is less so let's just straightly go home." Veira just answers this to them.

"I hope we are also the children of a public official!" Lester still regretting because they weren't joined on Vins and Kythem hot pot.

" In your next life, maybe!" but Munic immediately rocks this to him so it begins to a little temptation ensued between them.

"I heard some students talkin' unusual words to you!" Vins said as they waiting for the food they had put in the hot pot to cook.

"So what did you do?" but Kythem just asked him.

"I told them not to invent a story because they didn't know what happened!" Vins replied to her.

"Good! Nice one, but I'm not affected by what they say about me like I am a coquettish woman. For what to hit back to them, I know the truth about myself So I have no reason to even be angry with them." she also said and they started eating while Vins can't stop looking Kythem knowing that he likes her positive personality.

"Wow, a kind of powerful words but when it comes to your hear, you're kind of fragility!" Vins said and it causes him to shut his mouth after Kythem suddenly changes her reaction.

"Sorry!" but he immediately asked for an apology.

" No worries, I'm not offended because it's true but I know I can surely survive this situation, and I admit I want tomorrow right away!" but her language and continued eating.

"I guess you're in a good mood right now because positive thoughts all coming out of your mouth!" Vins seems to.

"Neither but I realized that if I continue or let drown Myself in sadness and pain I'm just too poor. I don't want to give myself a hard time," she explained again but she just caught Vins staring at her differently, looking like it examine her but she back a smile for a second.

"Why? By the way where are your friends?" but Kythem just asked him this.

"They have a date with their girlfriend," Vins replied to her.

"Do you have one too or you might have a hanger too? I don't want to involve in a new mess again. It's hard to breathe to let you know!" Kythem's reassuring question to her companion.

"Don't worry, I have nothing! You're just the first woman I friend and get along with like this!" Kythem felt relieved to know this.

"You're sensitive to women." Kythem's comment to him.

"Does this face look like it shows delicate?" but Vins just said. "No!" Kythem's immediately give her a short answer.

"So how many women wrongly obsessed with you?" Kythem kiddingly asked him.

"It's wrong, but I don't take them seriously because they're all the same!" Vins replied to her.

"Why?" Kythem asked him again.

"One nightstand?" Kythem added.

"That's what they want too!" so Vins speak what she wants to hear.

"This is all I'm going to say, if you don't want to be serious, stop doing that first because karma exists!" Kythem even advised him.

"I believe you're right!" he is not sure to say this.

Veira is about to enter an ice cream shop. She and Lester talked about the meeting before because she has something to give.

"Here!" Veira said as she reached the table where Lester was sitting and sat down then handed a white paper bag that full of something inside on it.

"What is it? From whom?" Lester just asked her after.

"I didn't know I was ordered to handed it to you, he said you like what inside of it!" but Veira just answered and sipped the ice cream that Lester had bought for her. Lester's eyes widened in delight after he saw what presence he received of what Veira had brought. These are the recent books and magazines of his favorite fictional author so he was very happy about it. He was on cloud nine after he saw it and even managed to kiss the books. But it suddenly disappeared after reading the contents of the card that included.

"Him?" he only says and one by one he returned the books that he received on the paper bag and returned to Veira afterward.

"He said If you don't accept it, If there's a nearby trash, I'll just throw it away," Veira said and was ready to take the paper bag but Lester immediately stopped her and held the paper bag, so Veira gave it to him again and let his body hugged it.

"I don't want to waste this !" he embarrassedly said knowing that he like all this presence.

"Is he flirting with you?" Veira asked him so he was startled. "I know him well, so he's flirting with you?" Veira asked him again.

"He said but I refused because we're the same!" his explanation.

"Don't worry, Reig is kind, he seems like Kythem, they're similar in terms of attitude!" Veira's compliment to her crush before, to let Lester knows a little bit about Reig.

"By the way, I feel sorry for Kyle because his heart hurt again. It looks similar to Carol to what Kythem did. She chose to go with someone who was better or where they can get the benefit! "Lester said but Veira was felt different the way Lester say these words.

" What do you mean? "she asked.

" We're already here so I will tell you. Carol's family was in trouble with money so her studies here were affected but she did not stop and she used Jerome to pay her school expenses and allowances. Kyle willingly helps her no matter what hard to take it but she still chooses where she can easily find the money. Kyle understands her situation but Kyle won't take it, he doesn't want to fool himself over and over again. That's all I know." Lester told this to Veira so she was surprised to hear this.

"And now Kythem is the new one he loves but now was get along with the son of the high public official of our city who does now a hot pot together," he added.

"So do you mean they're both a gold digger? "she calmly asked Lester.

" I don't know! "but Lester answered her the tone of something inside of it.

"You're wrong!" but Veira told him wrong what he predicted. Veira wants to spit everything about Kythem but she can't, so she failed to defend her friend again.

Carol is in front of a big house now where the address that old man gave her where she can find her former friend name Faith. She was nervous but on behalf of that, she is glad to see her friend what condition it was now. She can't be bothered anymore because this is the time to see finally her friend again for so long that she has no clue about it after her friend leaves without saying any words. She was about to doorbell when suddenly a black car blew its horn so it cuts her to what she gonna do. She saw the car stop and after a second the car door open and a woman's foot come out. She finally saw that it is wearing a school uniform similar to the one where she attends. The gate opened so the car entered first.

"Yes Carol, you look like you're wrongly castaway here?" Munic asked her.

"Do you live here?" she shock and asked Munic then.

"Obviously cause I'm here!" sarcastically Munic answer her.

"So do you mean you know Faith?" but Carol just asked her again.

"What are you talking about? Who's Faith?" she even laughed after spelled that words?

"This is the address where the old man gave to me. I'm not mistaken!" but she appeals.

"To inform you, the former owner of this house just moved in. We're the new owner now. That's why they moved again because there's a bloodsucker following them!" Munic just spoke this to her and the gate opened for her to enter.

"Munic wait!" Carol just said it before she could finally enter So Munic stopped.

"Do you know where they moved?" she asked but a wide sarcastic smile formed on Munic face and released to her.

"Of course, but with your arrears to Kythem you have to wait until the blue moon and I will tell you! I heard you're smart, so you know your presence here is not welcome!" Munic said and resumed her failed entry on their gate.

Before Kythem finally went home, he first picked up his cousin Reig at the bar that he manages because they have a family dinner. She was happy that there were still many customers. So she knew that a new branch would open again. The lights and sound were perfectly combined so people visited it plus the best bartender he hired who is an expert in mixing different alcohol.

She saw Reig was talking to one of his employers, when Reig found m that she finally arrived, he immediately ended their conversation and approach Kythem and greeted her with a hug and kiss on the left cheek. Kythem congratulated her cousin for his success and Reig announced also the growth of his bar.

"Wait a minute, I have something to get inside before we leave!" Reig said after looking at his wristwatch because they were leaving so that they would not late for their family dinner. So Kythem was waiting for her cousin, she was standing on the wine shelves and tour her eyes around looking at different people who were enjoying their night in this kind of place.

Until she saw someone familiar sitting on a couch. And she has a companion sitting next to her and it looked like there was enough wine. She looked at it clearly, maybe she was mistaken but when the woman face turned in her direction she confirmed that it was Carol even it was a bit dark where they sitting in and she saw it was kissing the man beside her, and she knew that it wasn't Kyle who was with her or the man that Carol kiss.

"Let's go!" but Reig interrupts her.

"Are they your regular customer?" she asked Reig and point out who was she talking 'about.

"I already saw them here but not regularly," Reig replied.

"Do you know them?" Reid added and asked for her but she didn't answer until she saw Carol and her companion was going somewhere. Kythem just watching them while they were leaving and passionately kissing each other but immediately she doesn't mind it and she just invited her cousin to leave. And Kythem wasn't mistake on what she thinks, that's what their flesh calls after she saw them what they were doing inside the car.

"She said she loves Kyle very much why is she doing this? I let go of Kyle to have her a chance again in their relationship. As far as I can see she didn't mean what she says." these are some of Kythem's thoughts as they were driven away from home after seeing Carol enjoy kissing other men.

"Why is she doing that?" A question that was still on her mind and she got no answer to her question. She can't let herself stop thinking that, " Is this the thing why they were broken up? Did Carol planed to take away or to drive Kyle away on me, but why?" And she still couldn't help herself but think that this was the one why Kyle and Carol broke up after she saw earlier. She can't help herself stop thinking too, about Carol doesn't deserve what Kyle's love offering to her. She confusing about what she thought. Especially, if she made the right decision with Kyle because she was carried away by what Carol was saying to her. Now she finally knew that she was wrong in her answer to Kyle's question to her.

"Are you okay, it looks like you're deep in thought." his cousin noticed that.

"I'm okay, I'm just thinking something buts it's fine don't worry!" instead she replied.
