CHAPTER 11

Flashback, at night before Kyle's efforts to surprise Kythem.

Kythem was ready to sleep but unaware she received a message from Carol so the next day when they had a free schedule from their class they decide to meet at a cafe because Carol had something to tell Kythem.

" I just wanted to say sorry for what I did last time! I admit I am jealous of you because you make my Kyle happy. After all, it was my fault why we broke up!" Carol's said to break the silence between the two of them and she is no longer twisted around to say her purpose why they meet.

" I admit that Kyle and I are gone but I can't live without him." She added and Kythem was just listening to her. Knowing that Carol loves Kyle in this kind of way.

" Kythem I love Kyle so much! " Her tears were still forming in her eyes as she said this to Kythem, but Kythem tried to hold her tears so that Carol could not see that she was hurting too because she had no right to say that she was hurting.

"We're friends still when we're in high school where our love begins. Yes, I admit I make a lot of mistakes to lose him to me but I regret all that. Kythem I have no place to say this but please do not stingy to him and let Kyle's back to me!" she continues and pleasingly with Kythem and Kythem sees how Carol's tears down it to her cheeks so she was even more hurt by what she saw.

"Because while you're there I have no hope of showing that I regret everything I did. I do not want to lose him anymore. I'm begging you to help us to back what our relationship the same as before. I realized that he is what I am looking for, my true love and now because of you I can't even see him, and I can't help my self hold this hurt while he is happy with others, he is happy with you." she already uttering these words So Kythem intensified that tears could not be seen in her eyes.

" I'm stingy! I'm stingy but I just want him. May you please back Kyle's on me. I was here talking to you as a woman who desperately in love with the guy who stays with me for a long time, and now you get to know each other and forget me. Compared to the time of our relationship to say that we have been through a lot more than you." Carol begging Kythem to return to her The person she loves dearly while holding Kythem's hands near the table.

"What are you talking about?" but Kythem asked Carol this way with a smile.

" I mean Kyle's only admired me, Carol, that's different from the Loves me because it's just you that he love!" she said and also held Carol's hand holding her hand. Yes, she pretends to be unaffected and not hurt.

"And I am looking for him as a friend." she tried to hold her voice clear, she did not even want to crack it so that Carol would not what she truly feels.

" Just like I said before, our closeness is meaningless. To tell you, the day when I talked to you I heard Kyle that he loves you very much. I am happy to hear those words but I did not know that I was hurting you by what has closeness between the two of us So I apologize again because I feel guilty to see you fighting that I am The reason. Yes, I find him cute and different from others maybe because we became close as friends. Knowing your lucky to have him, Who am I to hinder this."

For a desperate woman who wants to back her love once, this is her way to comfort it. She does not want to add to the pain Carol's carrying and she sees that Carol regretting too of what she did so Who is he to be selfish and prioritize her personal feelings.

Her reaction was the same after she and Carol met and went out to the gym today, she kills herself again and again. Her cowardice can only say this to herself. She asked herself What she had done to make it feel like this pain over and over again. She just found out that she was stopped on the rooftop of one building in the University. SHe shed after The tears that were already dripping down her cheeks.

" Why is it so painful? What have I done? How many more, how long can I get rid of this pain? please that's enough! Please! This pain, it hurts, it kills me inside!" she cries out in emptiness and thinks that sHe is a fool one because of this she can say the pain she feels even though she knows she will not receive an answer.

"I thought you were brave?" she stopped suddenly and looked behind her after hearing someone speak.

" I thought the ghost was screaming, you were just the only one who disturbed my silence here!" Vins added as he approached her but he did not expect Kythem to greet him with a hug on her arm So he was surprised.

"Please pretend that you care for me for a minute!" Kythem said to him while hugging The arm of a man that still wrapped in pain her feelings because of the decisions that she made. But Vins truly care for her now, he let her shoulder to comfort Kythem, his classmates. He couldn't think of anything to say so he just hugged it now by literally not only by his arms instead he uses his body to grab this girl who crying now on his chest.

"Why is it goes like, this?" Lyka asked after witnessing what happened to Kythem and Kyle.

"This is not what I expected!" she added.

" I don't know but I know Kythem has a reason So let's not take the things to lead first!" Munic said as they stared at Kyle sitting alone holding a bouquet of a white rose he had been looking at.

"We know what hurts felt now by Kyle but I hope he also thinks that Kythem is in the same boat. I know Kythem loves him too. I Just Don't Know Why she responds to that words!" Veira still tries to understand her friend.

" I feel sorry and pity for Kyle because his effort was useless for someone he loves the most. He never does this with anyone else!" Lester replied.

"Do you think the love team we built will end here?" Munic asked them but their mouths were shut because they think so far, no one them can know what may happen next. They did not want to say anything because what they think is the same.

"Where have you been girl?" Carol's friend asked her after she arrived at their meeting place.

"I do an acting audition!" she kiddingly replied while her lips can't stop smilin'.

"Is it works?" her friends asked her again.

"I think so. I'm Carol no one can overpass to me, what I want, I get!" she confidently said this after she knows that Kyle will confess to Kythem she planned to stop it.

"And that girl, she's easy to fool, so I haven't a hard time on her. She thinks she can fool me that she's not in love with Kyle, but if she's not, thankfully a hundred percent Kyle wasn't succeeded on his plan!" she said and laugh after remembering her genuine plan to Kythem.

" You love Kyle or you have made fun of Kythem?" While other friends asked her this way.

"Both. what is mine, is mine! I will not let anyone catch what I own." Carol said these words fluently and meant them. Everyone knows she is competitive, but her friend did not think in this way.

" How about Jerome?" her friend asked her another topic.

"I still need him. His love for me was blind so I take this as an opportunity!" she replied. Jerome was a simple man who in love with Carol so much, known as the man with a gold spoon on his mouth the reason why Kyle broke up with her even Kyle knows the truth about why Carol was on Jerome. All Kyle wants to do is not to fool himself and not to be blind to his love for Carol so ended their relationship.

Meanwhile, Vins took Kythem to his favorite place whenever she felt sad and lonely. Where he was free to think and meditate. He didn't pretend to care about the woman because he knows Kythem feels heavy. Earlier then they were sitting one meter each other on the lawn where they could see the lower parts of the area and a nice view to witness the sunset. Vins was alleviated because Kythem had stopped crying and was quietly listening to the wind whisper to them.

"You already found out that you both feel the same way then why you let this goes like this?" he asked after Kythem told him a bit story of what happened to her on this day.

" I choose to drive him away because that is the right decision that I will make," Kythem replied and her voice was still streaked with rashes from crying.

" I don't know your reason, but I hope what you decided, you will not regret it in the end!" Vins said this while Kythem was looking at the views they were facing that their eyes had reached.

" I do not know!" the short answer caused her to fall her tears again so Vins just patted her back with care to relieve even less what Kythem felt, only he can do to this woman.

"You still don't know why you are crying or you just act blinded not to see what your minds truly said," Vins asked her this way.

" It kills me inside. I was hurt by my decision!" she just answered and gently wiped her wet cheeks and eyes with her hand.

" It means it was a wrong choice Because if it's right or you want decided to make both sides happy there is no reason to drown in pain!" Vins said meaningfully words to hee.

" Why do you know a lot about this? Experience." but this is what Kythem asked him but she just answered it at the end.

" And because that really how handsome I am!" He acts as a sign on her hand of being handsome through his face.

"You are ugly!" she said as she laughed at Vins because Vins meant it to be overacting.

"At least I did you smile." he Just answers it and was still wrapped in their lips The smile.

" So, I will thank you?" Kythem just said it.

"So, I will welcome you?" Vins replied to her the same that leads them to still smile their faces.

" By the way Kythem I want to say sorry for what I have done to your last few days. I was wrong because of my dirty mouth. Sorry!" he refers to his rudeness to Kythem past days at their University.

" I forgot those things. it is already okay. Just don't reiterate that to anyone, okay!" Kythem said them and knows that he was already forgiven them for what she does.

"I promise!" Vins spoke this to Kythem with assurances.

" I will look forward to that!" she assured.

" I am Vins promising that What was I done to Kythem will not happen to her again and I will not do it to anyone else!" he even acted to pledge and stand in front of Kythem.

" Good!" Kythem said after he did this.

"You're ugly, your eyes were the reason because all day you full of tears!" Vins kiddingly comments for teasing her.

" Tsk. " she just does a death stare and pretended to be angry but Vins knew that so he just laughed to tease Kythem again.

"Am I really ugly now?" but she still asked Vins. She even thinks it was true cause she was aware that she looks haggard now.

" Mmm, you still beautiful! A beautiful kind of ugly!" but it only reached the temptation of his companion. But without her knowledge in this kind of teasing with Vins, she didn't think of what had happened to her today. She let her smiles back and forget something hurts on her in the meantime because of Vins.

Veira determined to wait for her friend so that they could have dinner together and talk with Kythem in case she misses a scene in her bestfriend life and she has many questions ready for it. But coming to nine in the evening she still waiting for her friend. Their usual dinner time is seven so even though she is hungry she prevents herself to eat. She prepared special food for them. The rest of their board mate were in every room they had but she was patiently waiting for her friend. She also messaged Kythem, in replying that she on her way home so Veira still patiently waited for her.

She looked out the window of their boarding when suddenly someone blew a horn in front of the gate. She saw Kythem was there and a man delivered it but she did not know who it was. She just saw that they were saying goodbye to each other, and the man left when Kythem entered the gate.

" Veira, you're still awake. I hope you didn't just wait for me!" Kythem said as she saw her friend is still waiting for her.

"Of course I have a reason to wait for you!" Veira answered her.

"Thank you so much for still trying to understand your reprimanding bestfriend!" Kythem said after they sat down on the couch and she even softened her friend.

" I'm tired today!" Kythem said as she rested her head on Veira's shoulder and closed her eyes.

"Who delivered you home?" Veira asked her.

" He's Vins, my classmate. Veira, I'm really tired today. I'll just continue this nap in my room. Goodnight!" Kythem said and she looked like she had swallowed it up.

"But I have some food ready for us!" Veira tried to restrains her friend.

"Sorry, but I'll just eat that tomorrow. Goodnight!" but Kythem just said as she proceeded to return in the direction of her room.

" But this day was," because of fatigue and drowsiness Kythem did not hear what Veira said to her. Veira did not continue what she meant when she saw Kythem going to her room. She prepared two meals that were Veira's mother's favorite food, this day was special for the mother of Veira. She was sad and felt angry after Kythem presumably forgot where they used to do this day, it was special because it was the birthday of Veira's mother where they promised to eat and light a candle every night when they could not get to its grave. So she just wiped her tears and instead of going to the dining area, she leads her foot back into her room even her stomach was frowning because she skips dinner. When Veira posted greetings on her social media account, a happy birthday for her dies mum, a time when Kythem lost consciousness and did not notice her tone notification on her cellphone.
