Chapter 46 Heartbreaker Carol

An intense Battle was going on in front of Gwendolyn and when she opened her eyes she was able to see the same scrawny-looking woman that she was planning to save actually putting up a fight against Sir William, she was using the now-dead adolescent Earth drake's corpse as a weapon to stop Sir William from advancing they were in a stalemate that much was evident to see.

Gwendolyn never expected to see someone put a 7th Circle Knight in a stalemate when coming to this small village but she still had to stop this pointless squabble.

"Stop" Gwendolyn's voice was cold and unfeeling it was not very loud but Sir William was able to hear her hence he made significant distance from the woman, Sword still drawn ready to strike if the woman did anything.

"Let's go" Gwendolyn looked at Sir William and was able to see how reluctant to leave he was.

"But my lady tho-"Before Sir William was able to finish his sentence Gwendolyn ended up interrupting

"No but's I am leaving" With everything said Gwendolyn started walking back from where she came.

Sir William seeing Gwendolyn leaving chose to uphold his duty rather than spend a second more fighting this now pointless battle.

While walking Sir William decided to leave some choice words for the woman he turned and gave her a last look then before he was able to say anything the woman beat him to the punch.

"I know I'm pretty but, you know it is rude to stare"

Her response left Sir William momentarily stunned at this moment he wished nothing more than to kill this woman but he was unable to ignore his duty.

Pov: May Parker

Watching as the Knight was leaving with his head hanging low filled May with satisfaction at her verbal victory.

"Thanks Amaira"

With her thanks said May proceeded to lay down on the ground as she was completely exhausted, this was the first time she felt this tired from dealing with anything since coming to this world

May wasn't able to spend even five minutes resting before she was forced to get up due to hearing footsteps near her.

"Drag You absolute Bit*h !" Yes in front of May was her helper who chose to abandon her while she was fighting but at least he did something useful, he managed to distract one of the drakes.

"Boss they were too strong I had no other choice, if I stayed I would have died I don't mind dying but the boss's orders were not to die "

"Fu*k my own words being used against me"

"Fine"

"Here are your orders Don't die, don't abandon me when I'm fighting, don't leak anything about me and don't try to kill me in any way shape or form got it ?"

"Got it Boss" With a nod of his head he gave confirmation but May was unable to stop herself from sighing at his antics

"Now take all those corpses back and tell that old man to start making my armour now"

"But boss thi-"

"No but's Drag this is your punishment now do it"

With everything she wished to say already said she started making her way back to the cave she wished to rest and recuperate as this battle took everything she had.

When she made her way back, she first stopped at the tailor to pick up the clothes she commissioned.

When she saw how beautiful the clothes were she was sure that it was the right choice to kidnap the tailor.

Leaving the awkward tailor behind she made her way towards her room but before she was able to step foot inside someone stopped her.

"Big boss please give me a moment of your time"

When May turned towards to soft and feminine voice she was faced with a kobold that looked the same as the others the only way May was able to identify that this kobold was female was because her voice carried femininity and was slightly softer than the men's voice

"Yes, what do you want?" May did not beat around the bush she was tired and in a terrible mood.

"Ah well you see boss we need more food most of our hunters are dead and the small amount that are left can't keep all of us fed we tried to train new hunters but they were well ...., they were terrible most got injured while some even died"

May was too tired to listen to the whole story so she cut in

"To the point"

The kobold seemed to get flustered she started stuttering and was unable to form a complete sentence.

"Sigh"

"Take a deep breath and start over" May was unable to continue watching this stuttering mess so she gave the kobold a chance to start over.

The kobold took a deep breath and started talking again.

"I beg you to teach us how to use the land like the humans do to grow food?"

May narrowed her eyes at the kobold unsure of what was her game

"I um I'm not stuupid like the un rest of them I um know you will leave and I um would like us to survive the snow"

May did not wish to deal with this now but she was still compelled to answer

"Admirable goal"

"Fine I will teach you but I will only say this once so listen closely "

"The process that humans do is called farming they plant seeds in the ground then they water them daily, they also put faeces and bodies in the ground next to the plant so that they grow faster, that is farming and before you ask I will show you some seeds tomorrow"

The kobold absorbed May's words but she still had some questions, she was so passionate that she forgot all about her fear.

"Boss will bones work to make plants grow"

'Amira will they?'

"Yes they will work but you will need to crush them into a powder first "

"Understood boss "

At the end of this conversation May started walking towards her room

May stopped in her tracks as the kobold started talking again

The kobold seeing May running started shouting after her

The kobold's words almost caused May to trip
