King Belarian rode into Amalor with nearly a thousand of his best soldiers and mages. It had been a hard trek moving at a forced march nearly day and night in order to get to Amalor just a few days after the attack. He was greeted by the commander of the town guard. From his knee the commander bowed his head. "My king. I wish that it were better times that I might welcome you to Amalor."

"Stand up. Tell me of this Fairy King that attacked Amalor. How many troops did he bring? I received reports of scores of losses on our side. How badly did their side suffer? I've not received any information on their losses."

Swallowing hard the commander refused to look up at his king. "There was only one attacker… thus they suffered no losses…" King Belarian wore a scowl as he listened to the commander report his first hand account of the attack.

Once the tale was done the King leaned forward in his saddle. "And we are certain this Twilight King is a fairy?"
