Rivalry

There was nothing else special about the dungeon other than the fact it was like a maze, Henry had passed a few intersections, while sometimes he'd be meet with a dead end. Whenever that would happen he'd just turn back and take a different turn. After a while of doing this he lost his sense of direction but he figured that so long as he kept seeing the goblins he was going the right way.

After about thirty minutes of running around Henry litterly bumped into korah who also had the same idea as him.

"Shit" Korah cursed out as she rubbed her head in pain. Both of them were going at full speed and by the time they noticed each other it was to late. They tried to jump out of the way but they jumped in the same direction and headbutted each other on the head.

"Are you OK" Henry asked as he extended his hand towards her, he didn't apologize because he didn't believe it was his fault.

"I'm fine, watch where your going next time," Korah said as she smacked his hand away and got up.

They were both standing at an intersection, they both came from opposite direction and it was clear which way they where suppose to go.

Typically normal dungeons were simple, the mazes were simple and the boss was almost always on the opposite side of the entrance.

"Fine than I'll leave you here, bye" Henry said with a smile before running towards the middle path. He still didn't know if he was being watched or not so he smiled and left. He honestly started liking her less and less.

"hmpe" Korah without any better options followed after him. She didn't like the way he was treating her and she didn't care for him either.

Along her way korah didn't find a single gobline so she decided to speed up, hoping to overtake Henry and leave him in her dust. She had started running a few seconds after he left so she wasn't worried about it.

After a few minutes of running at her full speed, korah was shocked to see that she couldn't see hind nor hair and another thing was that she hadn't come across any intersection or a different path, so she was sure he was ahead of her.

After a while of running she slowed down because she was getting tired. Just as she stopped, she saw a path connecting to the path from the right and from there she saw three figures coming along. Akira was walking with chiyo and Athena.

"So this is the way to the dungeon boss" Chiyo said as she saw her sister.

"You guys ran as well huh" Korah asked, she put two and two together

"Yeah, where's Henry?" Akira asked.

"I meet him earlier and he went that way" Korah responded.

"And I take it that he left you here and you were trying to catch up to him but you couldn't keep up" Athena said as she folded her arms and walked away.

"What's that suppose to mean" Korah got angry and walked up to Athena.

"Girls, girls girls calm down there's no need for violence" Akira got in between them in order to stop any fights that might occur. He knew the personalities of these girls and didn't put it past them to start a fight.

"What is your problem with me huh" Korah didn't know why but ever since she meet Athena, she had been rude to her and would aften challenge her into fights. Sometimes she'd win, other times Athens would win, it was almost like Athena saw her like a rival.

"Hmpe don't flatter yourself, why would I have a problem with you." Athena turned around to leave. "Che I'll close this stupid dungeon" she said out loud as she started running.

"It's fine, leave her" Chiyo and Akira tried to calm down their enraged sister, her face was red from anger.

"You should watch where your going" Henry thought in a mocking tone. "Why don't you watch where your going" Henry obviously kept it in his head. On the inside he had a face of disdain and annoyence but on the outside he was calm still. Unknowingly, he was taking his anger out on the goblins and this caused him to run faster.

After a while of running, Henry noticed that the goblins started appearing in pairs, than down then road they appeared in trios, quartet and untile he met a hord of them. Henry was currently fighting against said hord.

Five minutes later, Henry stood in an empty hallway. He was breathing heavily as his voice became slightly hoarse. His cloths felt uncomfortably cold as they stuck to his skin, he had a slight stench of sweat.

"Fighting is more taxing than exercising" Henry took a while to catch his breath before departing again.

After a while of running he stopped infront of two huge doors. The two large doors looked to be made of wood that was painted green. The handles and frames on other hand, were made of metal.

He pushed open the door and a hug gust of wind blew out. The wind carried with it a strong disgusting smell that would make anyone's stomach churn.

The room was pitch black besides center, starting from the door al the way to the other side of the room. The center of the room had a round raising platform with complicated circles engraved on the top. On the other side of the room was a thron and atop the throne was a silhouette of a humanoid figure.

After a while of standing, Henry cautiously walked towards the platform, he couldn't see even an inch into the darkness. The deafening silence became louder and louder the more Henry walked forward.

*Bam*

As soon as Henry stepped on the platform, the doors behind him slammed shut. The silhouette stood up and walked into the light and Henry's eyes widened in surprise. A goblin wearing armor from head to toe stood up and walked towards the platform. What surprised Henry was the fact that the goblin was as tall as him and also carrying two curved daggers.

The goblin arrived on the platform and stood opposite of Henry, the goblin bowed down before it took a defensive stance. Henry was intrigued by this, goblins and most monsters are typically bloodthirsty and don't waste time on trivial things such formalities. Not that it mattered but Henry bowed back before he took his stance.

...

"He really is impressive" Sitting outside, the trio looked towards a hologram that floated in the air. Hera commented when she saw Henry plough through the goblins like it was a walk in the park.

"He pushed himself hard though" Kento commented, he had grown fond of this youngling.

"Excuse me if I'm being rude but don't you worry about his happiness. If he carries on like this, he might grow up miserable and end up losing himself" Hera said after seeing the two men smiling.

"He'll be fine besides he's well aware of the path he must take" Hue said as he sipped his tea. "Speaking of happiness, the person I'm worried about the most is you. Who's gonna take care of you when I retire" Hue quickly interrupted her and changed the topic.

"Now that I think about it, you promised me you'll find someone" Hearing the current topic, Hera got embarrassed and looked down, her face became red.

"I'll find someone, it's just...I've been busy lately and I haven't had the time to look around." Hera said in a cute and shy tone.

"Promise me you'll at least look for someone by the end of the year" Hue said in a fatherly tone.

"*Gasp* I mus-... I promise" Hera wanted to argue but stopped seeing the look on Hue's face.

"Haha I can finally retire in peace" Hue said extanded his arm and pat her on her head.

"!!!" The guards by the dungeon opened their mouths in shock seeing the usually stern head of the military acting like a spoiled daughter. The stared for a sec before looking away, no matter how cute their superior looked right now, they thought that they saw something they shouldn't have so they looked away.
