Awakening I

Extra dark clouds formed in the skies of hope city, due to it being night no one noticed the strange phenomenon. The rain soon descended on the streets as people moved even faster. The rain got comfortable as it didn't seem to be planning on leaving.

The next day Henry's group got up and took a shower before heading to the cafeteria.

"Looks like it's not letting up" The group stood outside their dorm building in a covered area and look at the cloudy sky. The winds seemed to be picking up and getting strong.

"We have to run" Luther suggested making the other 2 depressed. It was one of those dark rainy days. The cloud blocked most of the sun but it was still viable.

The group prepared themselves and ran. Hope academy was hug and the was some spaces between the buildings plus the dorm rooms were placed some distance aways from the school, so they could place buildings like the cafeteria near the dorms.

"There are two cafeterias for first year's and we share ours with dorm building C" they arrived partially drenched and luther explained as he looked at the surprised Henry. The cafeteria room was the size of a football field.

"I though this is a boarding school, so how are there so many people" Henry thought to himself. It was not completely packed and there were infact a few sits opened here and there, but the number still surprised Henry.

"It's not just kids from hope city here, the most influential figures of the world sent their kids here" As if reading his mind Richard explained.

They quickly got their food and sat on the fare side of the cafeteria. There were multiple lunch ladies so it didn't take that long for them to wait.

Soon their dorm friends arrived also drenched, they came along and filled the seats around them. They began to chatter as they ate.

After breakfast Henry didn't know where to go, back to his dorm or too class as he was still suspended but he decided to go to the admin and fatch his student ID.

"I need to buy an umbrella" Henry said as he arrived at the admin building. Henry received his ID and was surprised to see his name.

Henry Lotus

When he was about to go back to his dorm, he was told to wait as someone wanted to speak to him. After waiting for a while a teacher walked up to him.

"Henry right? The names Sam Jackson and I'm your homeroom teacher, come let's go" Henry was surprised by this development, he got up and follow the man.

"I heard what happened yesterday at the assembly, I'm sorry I didn't help you tha-" The man started speaking but got inturrupted.

"Where are we going?" Henry had to ask because the rout he was taking made him feel like he was being led to his murder site.

"We're headed to class, why don't trust me I guess. You Grandfather Hue asked me to fatch you, you may not know this but I owe a lot to that man." Sam answered seeing Henry's skeptical look, he went on to speak.

Due to the large number of students there were alot of classes. Henry followed Sam to what seemed like a hidden area and arrived at his class, Class 1f.

"Huh why are you here" Opening the door Henry was surprised to see his uncle standing there in an empty classroom.

"Huh you've finally found him" Uncle Hue said

"Yeah, it wasn't that difficult" The other man said.

"Let's go" Uncle Hue walked to Henry with a mysterious smile.

"Where are we going" Henry asked confused, he felt a little anxious as his mind told him to brace himself.

What Henry feared came to pass, Uncle Hue placed his hand on his shoulder and the boys vision darkened.

When the boys vision returned he found himself infront of kento's small house and not fare from him was the other three siblings. The others seemed to be still disoriented, after a while of this Henry was starting to get use to it but he still felt dizzy.

After a while the group moved towards the giant pond behind kento's house. Kento did a gesture and the water parted ways clearing a path. They all entered the dark clearing and came across a old wooden door facing upwards. Kento lead the way as they entered.

Before Henry could try and make out what was behind the door that was giving him chills, his body shivered as his vision darkened. This time it took longer for his vision to returned but when it did his eyes were assaulted by a bright red light.

*hhhmmm* *hmmmm*

Looking towards the source of light Henry saw a giant red crystal slowly rotating in the air, the crystal had many sides on it. The entire cave was red as the crystal was the only source of light, there were no other distinct landmarks. What Henry found as odd was that there was crass covering the entire cave, even the . The cave was covered from head to toe with it but non of it seemed to grow more than necessary.

The air around him tingled his skin as a breeze flattered his hair. He felt like someone was gently caressing his skin, he felt safe and comfortable. Looking around people would say that every thing looks normal and a perfect day the only thing being different is the sun being red.

"Burrh*

Henry looked to the side and saw chiyo vomiting her guts out, it seemed like she was having it the worst. The other two were in a better state but not as much as Henry was.

"What do you guys know about the awakening" Kento spoke up after making sure the kids where all right.

Awakening was essentially the preparation and getting the body prepared for mana. The awakening required the body to be exhausted so it can better sense mana.

It was theorized that humans had hundreds of senses but we didn't know about it because we haven't been placed in a situation where those senses where needed. With Mana being everywhere under the atmosphere and due to it being added to the equation humans also got an extra sense.

The awakening ceremony helped the body gain and manage mana as freely as one wanted, it could also make the body much more robust. How well you body handled mana, how you use it judged how talented you were but the body also had limits and depending on your body type you could go in four ways.

"What most people don't know is that a person's talent can be drastically improved by the conditions they have during their awakening"

"We have prepared favorable conditions for you guys to awaken, this will make you grow stronger than others " Saying this kento seemed to drift into his memories as he smiled.

Henry decided to go first, he had been anticipating this moment for as long as he could remember. So he didn't waste much time and moved forward. Uncle Hue handed Henry a tall vile filled with a pitch black substance, if one looked closely they would see small white dots that were flickering every now and than.

Henry calmed down and went to sit under the crystal, he forcefully gulped the slime like substance with some difficulty. After calming down he closed his eyes and started breathing in a weird but rhythmic manner like uncle told him to.
