The Finance Minister seemed to wilt under the glare of the leader before the man schooled his expression back to polite interest in what deal had been made.
He knew, of course, what the details were. But showing up like this in the middle of a parliament session was not how he wanted it to be revealed to the public. The laws of Gormana allowed anyone in the room to ask detailed questions, and it was illegal to lie to them here.
If he had crafted a release to remove any unsavoury bits about the deal, he could just keep referring them to the document, and avoid actually giving answers. But the Finance Minister was a numbers' person, great with finance, but not a real politician beyond the scope of his job.
