15. Dhoom 1 Ending.

The game of cat and mouse was finally going to be over. I have been watching his  every move for over a week, As there was nothing to do other spending time with Sweety and Sheena.

'Your Play time is Over. Kabir I end this once and for all."

With that thought fueling me, my team ( Jai and Ali)and I prepped for the next phase. The chase was just getting started.

....

As I stood on the rooftop overlooking the bustling streets, I felt the familiar rush of adrenaline and the tingling anticipation of what was to come. My heart raced, not just from the impending confrontation with Kabir and his gang, but also from the thrill of connecting with the digital realm.

Closing my eyes for a moment, I tuned into the myriad of signals surrounding me—Wi-Fi networks buzzing through the air, the faint hum of surveillance cameras rotating on their axes, and the intricate web of security systems designed to keep intruders out. My mind became a conduit, effortlessly navigating through the complex landscape of ones and zeros.

With each heartbeat, I visualized the network around me, as if it were a sprawling cityscape, and I was a ghost flitting through its alleys. I reached out, and in an instant, I could access the bank's security feeds, immersing myself in a detailed view of the heist unfolding below. I could see Kabir's men moving in and out of the building, bags of cash in hand, their every action feeding directly into my consciousness.

The city was still waking up when the heist began. Kabir's crew had picked their target well—a bustling bank in the heart of the city. The morning rush hadn't yet begun, giving them a window of opportunity. Watching from the rooftop across the street, I could see them moving with precision. Alarms, cameras, security systems—everything was taken offline in seconds. But I was ready.

From my vantage point, I scanned the area, spotting key members of the gang. I grabbed my phone and sent a quick message to Jai, stationed nearby. There was no time to waste.

"We hit them now, or they'll vanish."

.....

"No time to just watch from up here."

I took a breath and leaped from the rooftop, landing in the alleyway behind the bank. My bike was waiting, sleek and ready for action. I quickly adjusted my gear, making sure my nitro booster was fully charged and ready to deploy.

As the sound of sirens cut through the air, I knew time was running out. The police were closing in, but they wouldn't get there in time. Jai and Ali were on their way too—I could hear the roar of their bikes in the distance.

I swung my leg over my superbike, fired up the engine, and shot onto the street. Time to get in on the action.

---

As I raced down the road, I spotted Kabir's crew pouring out of the bank, bags of cash slung over their shoulders. Kabir turned and locked eyes with me, his face hardening. He shouted something to his men, and in an instant, they were scrambling onto their bikes.

Kabir: "Go! Get on the bikes! We have company!"

The engines roared as they tore down the street, and I pushed my bike to its limit. Weaving through traffic, I was on them in seconds. The wind whipped around me as I calculated their every move.

Me (into comms): "They're heading for the highway! We need to cut them off!"

I slam the throttle again, pushing my bike harder through the alley. Kabir's just ahead, glancing back briefly. He smirks, cocky as ever, thinking he's still in control.

"Think you can outrun me, Kabir?" I shout over the roar of the engine, my voice laced with adrenaline.

He looks back, eyes gleaming with that same confident arrogance. "Catch me if you can, Dev!"

I grit my teeth. His bike swerves sharply, kicking up debris from the alley floor, trying to throw me off. I dodge, narrowly avoiding a pile of crates. My tires screech as I lean into another tight turn, right on his tail. Every muscle in my body is screaming to push faster, closer.

"Damn I think, I am in love?"

I yell, my heart pounding in sync with the engine.

Just then Kabir laughs, loud and taunting.

"You're too slow, man! This isn't your game."

He's trying to shake me, darting out of the alley and back onto the open road. The sudden change in terrain doesn't slow him down he takes off, the city opening up ahead of us like a battlefield.

"Adrenaline Rush"

I mutter under my breath, shifting gears. My bike roars, and I'm gaining again, inch by inch. He takes a sudden left, shooting through an underpass, dodging between cars. I follow, cutting through gaps in traffic, my pulse racing with every near miss.

As we hit the freeway, he glances back, surprised I'm still there. I see his jaw tighten.

"You're good, Dev, but this is where it ends!" Kabir shouts, pushing his bike even faster, his voice almost drowned by the wind.

"Not today!" I yell back, leaning in as I gun it harder. The speedometer edges toward red, but I don't care. I'm locked in, focused. There's no room for fear now—just precision.

Kabir suddenly veers right, heading for an overpass. It's risky, dangerous, but I know what he's doing—he's trying to make me back off. I can see the tight curve ahead, one wrong move and it's all over.

But I'm not backing down.

I close the gap, pulling up beside him, our bikes almost touching. "End of the line, Kabir!" I shout, reaching out, trying to unbalance him.

He looks at me, eyes flashing. "You really think you can stop me? Think again!"

Kabir swerves, slamming his bike toward mine. I brace for the impact, our bikes colliding with a screech of metal. My grip tightens, the shock rattling through my bones, but I hold steady. I see him glance at the approaching barrier—this is it.

With a final burst of speed, I slam my bike into his, hard, forcing him to lose control. His bike skids out, veering toward the side of the road. Kabir curses, trying to regain balance, but it's too late. He's done.

I brake hard, my tires screeching to a halt as I watch him crash, his bike spinning out across the asphalt. Kabir rolls, coming to a stop, beaten but alive.

I pull up beside him, panting from the chase. "Told you it wasn't your day."

...

I barely have time to catch my breath when the roar of more bikes fills the air. I look up—three of Kabir's gang members are closing in fast, I curse under my breath. Of course, he didn't come alone.

Kabir groans, pulling himself up from the asphalt, wiping blood from his lip. His cocky smirk returns, despite the wreck. "Guess the fun's not over yet, Dev," he says, chuckling darkly. "You didn't really think I'd be this easy, did you?"

I don't answer, just grip the handlebars tighter, scanning the situation. One of the guys is already revving up to flank me on the left, another closing in on the right. The third, bigger and heavier than the others, pulls up beside Kabir, throwing a glance my way before helping him up.

"Get him!" Kabir snaps, his voice sharp with anger, as he steadies himself.

I take a deep breath, heart racing again, feeling the heat of the moment.

"Bring it on," I mutter

my mind is shifting gears as fast as my bike. One of the gang members pulls ahead and swings a metal pipe in my direction. I duck just in time, the pipe whistling over my head as I twist the throttle, swerving out of his reach.

The second guy tries to box me in, cutting me off from the front. I see the grin on his face—he thinks he's got me trapped. I slam on the brakes, making my bike skid sideways. Tires screech as I spin around, barely

The sun beats down on the asphalt, its glare bouncing off the metal of the bikes, turning the streets into a furnace. The sound of engines echoes off the buildings as Kabir's gang closes in. I squint against the bright daylight, the heat already making sweat drip down my forehead, but there's no time to wipe it away.

One of Kabir's guys swings the pipe at me again, this time aiming low, trying to knock me off balance. I twist my body, letting the pipe sail past my leg, and immediately rev the engine, surging forward. The sound of my bike roaring fills my ears as I dart between two of them, my body leaning low, the pavement a blur beneath me.

"Stay still, you fucker!" one of them shouts, his voice full of frustration.

"Sorry, but I've got places to be!"

I yell back, grinning as I accelerate. The heat, the speed, the rush—it's all pushing me forward.

Kabir's third guy, charges in from the side, trying to ram me into a delivery truck parked on the corner. I spot him in my peripheral vision just in time. With a sharp turn of the handlebars, I jerk my bike to the right, narrowly avoiding the hit. My tires skid on the hot pavement, sending up a cloud of dust as I regain control.

I glance at Kabir, still on his feet but not joining the fight yet. He's watching, calculating, his eyes flicking between me and his gang. His arrogance is still there, but I see something else too—impatience. He thought this would be over by now.

"Your guys aren't as good as you think, Kabir!" I shout over the roar of engines, locking eyes with him. He smirks, but his eyes narrow.

"They don't have to be," he says, nodding to his men. "All they need to do is wear you down."

The guy with the pipe is back, swinging wildly now, trying to clip my handlebars. I duck again, twisting the bike in a tight circle to get behind him. The sun glints off his sunglasses as he looks back, surprised I'm still so close.

I don't give him time to react. With a sharp swerve, I slam my bike into his, hard. The impact sends him off balance, his bike wobbling dangerously. Before he can recover, I kick out, hitting his rear tire. His bike veers off, skidding across the pavement and slamming into a parked car. He rolls to the ground, groaning but still moving.

Two down.

Just as I line up to take on the last two gang members, I hear the unmistakable screech of tires behind me. I glance in the rearview mirror and spot a familiar bike weaving through the traffic. Jai's calm, determined expression is locked in the chaos in front of him, and right behind him, Ali's bike zigzags wildly as he tries to catch up.

Ali's yelling something, his voice full of his usual nervous energy. "Yo, Dev! Why do you always start the fun without me, man?!"

I can't help but grin. Backup has arrived, so I think I will just watch.

"Nothing I can't handle," I reply, swerving to avoid one of Kabir's goons as he takes another swipe at me. "But I wouldn't mind the help."

Jai gives a slight nod and speeds up, his bike roaring as he closes in on the thug nearest to him. With precise control, he leans in, sideswiping the guy's bike with calculated force. The gang member stumbles, his bike wobbling before he crashes into a streetlight. He's out of the fight.

Meanwhile, Ali finally catches up, and his panicked voice rings out again. "How come I always get stuck with the crazy ones?"

True to form, Ali's being chased by the last guy, who's swinging a chain in the air like a madman, trying to land a hit. Ali's swerving wildly, barely staying upright. "A little help here?!" he yells, dodging the chain by inches.

"Ali, stop joking and focus!" Jai shouts back, still keeping an eye on the rest of the gang.

I laugh a little, as Ali also get into the action. He speed up, cutting across Jai's path, and with one swift motion, he knock the chain-wielding thug off balance. He loses his grip, the chain flying out of his hand and clattering to the ground as his bike spins out of control.

With most of Kabir's gang now wiped out, I turn my focus back to the man himself. He's standing near his wrecked bike, arms still crossed, but his smirk is gone. The confidence he had earlier is starting to wane, replaced by frustration. Jai, Ali, and I circle around him, the air thick with the sound of our engines.

Kabir takes a slow step forward, raising his hands in mock surrender. "Well, well, the gang's all here. You think this is over, Dev?"

I kill the engine, hopping off my bike. "It's over, Kabir. No more running, no more games. You're done."

He laughs, low and dangerous. "You really believe that? You have no idea what's coming next."

Before I can respond, Jai steps forward, his tone cold and authoritative. "You can talk all you want, Kabir, but we both know this ends here."

Kabir glances between us, clearly calculating his next move, but he's out of options. His gang is scattered, his bike is totaled, and we've got him cornered.

Ali hops off his bike, still catching his breath. "Yeah, man, give it up. You're not going anywhere."

For a split second, Kabir's eyes flash with something—maybe anger, maybe desperation. But then he sighs, dropping his hands to his sides. "Fine. You win this round, Dev." He looks directly at me, his smirk returning, but there's something more dangerous in his eyes now. "But this isn't the last time you'll see me. I promise you that."

I don't respond. I just stare him down, the intensity of the chase still buzzing through my veins.
