Afterwards

//3rd POV//

From the rubble of the once beautiful castle of king Owen walked out four people. These were the straw hat pirates and Technoblade. They made their way out of the rubble and into the clearing infront of them.

//Techno POV//

"That could've gone better." I said. I could've thought of a better and much more efficient plan, but the whole straw hat thing was sudden and I didn't want to risk diverging from cannon too much.

"It was fun!" The ever energetic captain of the straw hats said.

"I guess." I reply. Really nothing much to say there.

We then made our way to the village. I could've used beast form to get there quicker, but I was tired and it would've freaked everyone out.

"Hey guys! Over here!" I could here shouts in front of us. I looked there to see the remaining straw hats standing there waiting for us.

"Did you guys find any treasure? I searched the castle but found none." Nami said dejected.

"Nah. We didn't find anything." Luffy replied.

I thought about telling them about me having the treasure but I had a feeling Nami would keep bugging me until I gave some to her and I was too tired to handle that currently.

"Why don't we go to the village and then talk about this, because I don't know about you guys but I'm tired and need sleep." I tell the straw hats.

"Good idea Techno. We can party and then look for the treasure." Luffy said.

* Sometime Later*

We made it. Johnathan was waiting at the entrance. I swear this man could see the future with the way he stood there almost expecting us to come here.

"Well it seems you lot have done us a favor getting rid of that tyrant." Jonathan said. Now that I think about it, Jonathan could've taken down the entire army by himself with relative ease with his strength so why didn't he?

"It also seems you deserve a break. However, since you are pirates, I have arranged something a little more to your taste." He said leading us to the bar. Once inside, we saw multiple dishes ready to be devoured. Luffy was the first one to charge at the food rushing towards the meat at a speed faster than me in beast form. The village proceeded to party into the night while I decided to go home and get some well earned sleep. As I drift into sleep I swear I could almost make out a voice bidding me a good night but was too tired to even care.

*The Next Morning*

I woke up and then did my daily routine of exercise and weapon practice before checking up on my farm and harvesting some potatoes. As I sat in my lawn with my breakfast some of the kid's came by with Nami, Vivi and Carue accompanying them.

" Morning Ladies." I said as I waved at them and the kids.

" Good morning Techno." Nami said with Vivi following suit and Carue quacking.

We sat there as some of the boys wanted to hear stories of how I beat Owen and the girls began braiding my hair.

" Thank you for saving me Techno." Vivi said. I had forgotten that she had a blade to her throat and was being used as a hostage.

" 's fine." I said.

We then proceeded to make some small talk. Nami was awfully quiet the whole time so I asked her what was bothering her.

" I couldn't find any treasure in the castle." She said slumping her shoulders.

" Well I may have a solution for that." I said, getting up as I went into the house and came out with a few giant bags and handed them over to the navigator. She opened the bag to find a lot of gold and was seemingly in bliss.

" This is about 40% of the gold in the castle. I have the remaining 60% of which I'll be giving 45% to the village." I said. I had no need for so much gold so I decided to give it to the village.

After some more small talk I made my way to Jonathan's to talk about a few things.

*At Jonathan's office*

I entered Jonathans office and went to his desk.

"You want to talk about anything Dave?" He asked me.

" Yes actually. Why didn't you do anything about it? Why didn't you take down Owen and his army when you very well could have done so alone very quickly?" I asked him. This was something that had been irking me for a while really. Why didn't Jonathan, a person who always thought of others not do anything about the tyrant.

"Ah. The answer to that is quite simple really." He said. " I could've taken him and his goons down quite easily, but, if I had done so some people would fear me and think I was as bad if not a worse person then him as I'd basically done a coup even if I was a good person." He said." I could tell them but I'd still be called a villain for doing such a thing and could've been wanted by the government. It may be a selfish reason but it is a logical one." He ended.

I thought of what he said. What he did was selfish but a decision that I can understand why he took. "I get it, but it doesn't mean I have to agree with it." I say. Now I could be bitter and tell him how whatever he did was immoral and bad and I've lost all respect for him , but that'd be a lie. I can understand he didn't want to enter others problems and possibly be hunted. This may also be why he sent many pirates to Owen with the greed of treasure.

"Now that that's out of the way, I'd like to make an investment." I tell him.

*The Next Day*

I spent the rest of yesterday after finalling the deal with Jonathan walking around the village, talking with the straw hats and practicing.

Today the straw hats would be leaving. I had gotten up early today as I didn't usually need much sleep. I walked to the harbor to find The Going Merry docked and Ussop working on some of the cracks on her body.

"Need some help?" I asked the sniper.

"Sure." He said. I then got to work helping him on the ship.

Time passed and Jonathan and myself were on the dock bidding the straw hats farewell. As we were leaving the dock though-

"Hey Techno!!" I turned back. " Join my crew!!"

"HEH!!!" I shout.

Hi. Been a while. This was supposed to be done a week ago but I kept postponing it due to studies and fatigue.

Also, if you didn't notice, I was trying a few new things in my writing style.

The whole straw hat thing may seem a bit forced and I know it could've been done better but I was so engrossed in writing that I completely forgot about it until the last paragraph and wasn't sure where else to put it in so just left it there.
