Character Cards

After checking the map thoroughly, Max and Selene decided to head back to their assigned room, which was located in the three-story mansion they had seen on the map. As they approached the entrance, they noticed a nameplate on the door that read: "Selene and Max."

Selene chuckled softly, glancing at Max. "I guess Mimir knows we're in a relationship," she remarked, amused by the attention to detail.

Max smirked, shaking his head. "Seems like it," he said, his tone light. "Well, at least we don't have to worry about separate rooms. Saves us the trouble."

Selene smiled and nudged him playfully. "Yeah, but I wonder how much this place really knows about us."

Max opened the door, and they both stepped inside, curious about what their new living quarters had in store for them. The mansion's interior was grand yet cozy, with elegant furniture and plenty of space, making it clear that this was no ordinary dorm.

"Looks like we're in for quite the experience here," Max said, taking it all in. "Let's get settled before things get any more complicated."

Selene nodded, her eyes scanning the room. "Agreed. Something tells me this academy or rather this whole lot of Apocalypse world is full of surprises."

"hmm, I know" Max said, as he lays on bed.

'System, I want to claim the reward' he said mentally , the Quest was completed after he completed mimir's trials.

"two?" Max asked,

[ One for your girlfriend ] System replied.

"ahh, yes" Max nodded, as he gave looked at two cards.

"they are weak" Max blurted seeing them.

"what are weak?" Selene asked.

"nothing" Max shook his head as he look at the two Cards.

'hmmm, Cosmic overlord for me and Empyrean vampire for Selene' max thought as he brought out the two cards.

"here it's for you" Max said, as he throw the card at her.

"this is the legacy card" She asked.

"yes, like mine" Max said as he flashed his.

"lest use it together" Max said, as Selene nodded an dteh 3..2.. 1..go

Both broke the card at the same time.

Bothe closed their eyes as the card began engraving onto them. For Selene, her race evolved to Empyrean Vampire, and for Max, he received a Fantasy Divine Body.

After a moment, Max opened his eyes. "Hmm, I got new stuff," he mumbled to himself as the body information came to his mind. The body was called the Cosmic Overlord Body, allowing him to bind to 36 summons, but right now, his body was only at Apex +, which meant he could only bind with two summons far from his peak allowance.

Thought it can be advanced in levels, however, to raise his divine body to the next level, he would have to find the resources.

"Well, it's quite good, though," he mumbled as he accepted it.

Then he looked at Selene, whose appearance had changed. Her black hair and blue eyes were now silvery white, with ruby-like red eyes and slightly elongated, pointy ears.

"Selene, you look fabulous," Max said, hovering near her and holding her waist. "Really, I thought you would find it weird," she said, looking into his eyes.

"And why would I? You look even more stunning," he said as he leaned in to kiss her. Selene smiled as she closed her eyes and leaned in too, and they kissed each other, relishing the moment.

After a while Max broke the kiss, as he looked at Selene Status

Empyrean Vampires are a previously unknown species that arose as a result of a mutation of the Ancestral Vampire line, bearing a very similar appearance to regular Vampires, with a lean physique, white hair, and dark red eyes. The strongest possible form a Vampire can grow into, Empyrean Vampires have precise control over the world around them, able to manipulate space with their will, forming invisible barriers or attacking with invisible blows. They are protected by a powerful layer of black energy, shielding them from injury.

They are also perfect Nobles, moving with grace even when whole body is on the verge of Death.

Empyrean Vampires are naturally graceful and can transform into a discreet bat form, can form contracts with lesser Vampires, have enhanced vision, and enhanced regeneration. They are the natural rulers of the Vampire Race.]

Max looked at Selene's abilities, feeling stunned and at a loss for words. His abilities included only two—one was Summoning, and the other was Contract, thought more will unlock but it is nothing compared to what Selene has now.

"System, why the favoritism?" he asked inwardly, staring at Selene's overwhelming status.

[The plan is to train you. What do you even expect—a direct ticket to heaven?]

[You have the potential of a powerful race at the lowest level. Cultivate it to reach the peak.]

The system said, and Max fell silent.

"Is something the matter?" Selene asked, seeing Max looking at her with mixed emotions.

"Nothing. Just… you won't leave me, will you?" He asked, pulling her closer.

"Why would I do that?" Selene asked.

"I mean, you're stronger than me, and I'm nothing but—"

Smack.

Max was interrupted when Selene lightly smacked his head. "Don't even think about it. You are my everything," she said, hugging Max tightly.

"Thank you," Max said, and Selene nodded as he rested his head on her chest.

"They've gotten huge," Max said suddenly, receiving another smack.

"Ahahaha!"

Both of them laughed as Max playfully pushed Selene onto the bed, and then…

Next day Both Max and Selene were ready for their first lesson as the day or their Academy Days begin from today.
