Chapter 2: Find and Kill Target

"You understand what I'm saying, don't you?" Helfen asked

"I understand... But...," he said with some hesitation. He didn't want to be bothered with the identities of the people he killed.

"Okay, that's no problem. I can handle it then," he exclaimed. For the sake of his goal, something had to be sacrificed, anything was an option.

"Good. This is the only time I can really help you, there may be no more help in the future. Be prepared."

He nodded his head as a sign of readiness to carry out Helfen's plan.

In the previous conversation Helfen revealed his plan to him so that he could get a target to be stolen by him. The target could be anyone, but it had to be one of the Supervillains. Helfen could only choose Supervillains who were the most vulnerable and easy to kill.

Helfen would slightly abuse his power as the spiritual consciousness of a power in order to carry out the plan. Helfen himself may be one of the rare cases where the power has its own consciousness.

"Have you prepared the knife?" Helfen asked. The knife was the main tool to execute their plan.

"I have," he said as he held a knife in his right hand.

"Remember, once we arrive, immediately stab your target with the knife in the heart, located in the center of the chest."

"Is there no other way?" He asked.

"Do you have a gun? If you do, you can use that."

"Ah, no..." He did not have enough money to buy a gun, he had never encountered a situation that was dangerous enough to buy a gun because he lived in a fairly safe and low-crime town. Now he wished he had a gun at this moment.

"Just stop wishing and focus. Remember, kill your target as soon as we move there, okay? Don't make much noise."

"Understood!"

Helfen fiddled with something for a bit, after which he and him instantly teleported to a location.

After teleporting, he looked around the place where he was currently standing. Previously, after he evolved he had moved to a rather quiet location so that he could have a comfortable conversation with Helfen. Now he was standing in a room.

The room had a futuristic design with silver-colored walls, lights on the roof, with some complementary furniture. But that was not his focus, his focus was on the person sleeping on the bed in the room.

It was a woman who was there. At first glance, she looked like a normal person on the street, but his eyes widened when he saw a costume lying on top of the small cupboard next to her bed. It was a black costume with a familiar mask.

He instantly recognized that it was the costume of the "Barrier Lady", a super villain with an S-rank threat.

"What are you doing? Standing there? Hurry up and kill her while she's still sleeping!" Helfen exclaimed. Helfen found the woman sleeping and was the only one his host could kill if he killed her right away.

He immediately recalled his plan, raised his knife and stabbed into the Barrier Lady's heart quickly to kill her instantly before she woke up to the sounds of his movements.

Stab!

He managed to stab the Barrier Lady right in the heart, causing blood to gush out and stain the knife. Although he didn't particularly like doing this, he stabbed again for the Barrier Lady to completely pass away.

Putting his finger on the Barrier Lady's nose to detect if she was still breathing, he didn't feel any more breath, which signaled that the Barrier Lady was already dead.

"Good job, you've killed her, but don't repeat your carelessness earlier by just observing. She could wake up and attack you back when you're off guard," Helfen said.

"You're right, I apologize," he muttered.

"Never mind. Start using your power."

He nodded, placed his hand on Barrier Lady's body and activated [Stealer] on her. Barrier Lady's body was immediately sucked into the inner space of his hand.

His ability had the function of stealing everything from the body of a deceased person, analyzing it and then storing it in a storage in an imaginary space. After being analyzed, the owner of the power could use anything from that body, but on the condition that he used that person's body. Basically stealing another person's body in order to become that person.

"Analysis complete! After you steal the Barrier Lady's body, you can already transform into her and use her ability, "Powerful Barrier". As for her memories, I will manage them. And I will teleport you back," Helfen said.

Soon she was teleported back to the previous deserted location. He breathed a sigh of relief that their plan had worked.

"So the target you chose was the Barrier Lady because she was the most vulnerable."

"Yes, I broke a few "law" to spy on some targets and she was the most vulnerable."

"But I didn't expect her to be the Barrier Lady, because the Barrier Lady always hides her face when she commits her crimes."

At first glance, Barrier Lady's true face immediately caught his attention, Barrier Lady had the same type of face as the photo model he liked from the previous world.

Then the costume made him surprised, that woman was the Barrier Lady, completely out of his expectation.

And now he could already use her body to access the power that the Barrier Lady possessed.

He immediately thought of several paths to choose next, and killing other super villains was one of his next plans. He grinned, not expecting it to be this easy.

"Gosh, I forgot to tell you that you can only keep 3 bodies that you stole. You have to choose wisely which ones to keep."

He was immediately taken aback, he had planned to steal as many villains' bodies as possible but now it was ruined due to the notice.

"Only three, geez, that means I have to be wise, huh..."

"But it doesn't matter, I can maximize any ability," he said confidently.

Right after saying that, his cell phone that was in his pants pocket immediately rang. He quickly picked up his cell phone and looked at the phone, it was his mom calling.

"Kevin, it's about 11pm, where are you now?" His mom exclaimed angrily.

Uh oh, Kevin almost forgot, he went out to find a place to clear his mind and went to the park. He had forgotten what time it was.

"Okay, okay, Mom. I'll be home soon, okay?"

"Hurry up and go home, being 18 years old doesn't mean you can wander anywhere."

"Yes, Mom. I'm sorry, I'll be home."

"Hurry up."

"Okay, Mom. I love you, bye."

Kevin then hung up, put his phone back in his pants pocket and ran home. As he ran, he kept thinking about what he would do next with his powers."
