Persuading the girl

Fasmel 's eyes are wide open never thought I'd say something like that, but she did not look at me, she was looking at the floor.

Arhi : "I see..."

I was surprised by that sound and Fasmel 's too.

Grel : "A... Arhi ? You're not sleeping?"

Arhi : "How am I supposed to sleep when you two keep talking" with a raging tone and raging eyes.

Arhi : "GO WEAR YOUR TROUSER ALREADY!" she kicked me on the back.

Arhi : "Don't just stare, you pervert girl" She slaps Fasmel 's head, knowing she is still wearing a towel.

Arhi : "Go wear your clothes again"

Time skipped ahead to the next morning. Short story, I already told Arhi what was just happening yesterday while she was sleeping. And I slept in the corner separated from Arhi in the middle and she was still mad about it the whole night. She is surely mad because I sounded proposing to Fasmel yesterday.

Then we all decided to go to the basement like Mr. Kim mentioned before to see the girl. Fasmel showed us the route since we don't know where it is.

Before entering the basement, there are two guards in front of the gate.

They both didn't say anything as Fasmel came closer while standing but instead, they both made a move in their foot and made it more straighten.

Fasmel : "They are all with me" Then one of the guards opened up the gate for us. We walk in and we finally enter the basement.

We keep walking and looking around for the girl. When we reached the corner, we found the girl we met yesterday. She was chained on their right foot so she couldn't move freely and think to escape. And she was still wearing the same clothes, but I didn't notice her clothes were a little bit torn yesterday. And her left foot looked back to normal again. It seems the priest has already healed her before. Looking at her eyes, she looked hopeless at some point. I was concerned about her since she is not a criminal after all.

Arhi : "Is this the girl?"

Grel : "Yea"

Then I tried to enter the room with the key Fasmel gave me. And approaching a little bit closer to the girl. And I tried to lower my body so I could see her eyes. But even after I lowered my body, I couldn't see it. It's hidden well in the dark.

Grel : "Can you tell me your name now?" Trying to speak in a low tone so she isn't mad again like yesterday.

She is still silent and doesn't want to answer it yet.

She is not gonna talk, isn't she?

Arhi : "Is she really from this world"

Fasmel and I were both silent for a moment.

Grel : "I'm pretty sure it was not"

Arhi : "But how?"

We obviously don't have the answer to that yet. Unless this girl wants to talk to us for a bit.

Then Fasmel came in beside me.

Fasmel : "Hello beauty girl. Are you hungry?" she sounded very cheerful.

The girl still doesn't want to talk but I'm pretty sure she just flinched for a second.

Fasmel looked in her pocket and grabbed some of the snacks. Its small bread from Mr. Kim's shop was made by his wife. Then she shows it to the girl and over it.

Fasmel : "Here... Do you want it?"

The girl seems to hesitate to grab it.

Fasmel : "I see... Too bad this is the last bread I have. You might be gonna eat the bland food from the guard again." She sounded teasing the girl. It worked, she flinched her ears.

Fasmel : "Since you don't want it... I guess I'll eat it" Then Fasmel opened her mouth and was about to take a bite of that bread she had.

Fasmel : "Aaaa..." Then before Fasmel takes a bite, the girl quickly grabs the bread from her and eats it.

The girl seems to enjoy the bread she had.

Fasmel : "It tastes good right? How about we make a deal?"

The girl finally raises her head and we can finally see her eyes.

Fasmel : "If you want to talk with us, I'll take you out here and give you something more delicious than this. How?"

The girl's ears flinched. She still insists on talking while still eating the bread. But I feel she is about to trust us just a little longer.

Then Arhi came in beside me.

Arhi : "So what is your name?"

Then the girl paused eating her bread. There is a little bit of delay before she answers.

The girl: "Kiwi " she said with a low tone and her voice sounded like a child girl.

Arhi : "Ari?"

Kiwi : "I'm Kiwi " she said a bit louder this time.

Arhi : "I see... So your name is Kiwi "

While Arhi is talking with her, I hear a step foot coming towards us.

Kim: "Ooh... You guys are already here" He saw us getting closer to the girl.

Kim: "Seems like you guys make a new friend"

After a moment, we explain to Mr. Kim what happened.

Kim: "I see... But I'm not sure if she is fine to be outside. People will weirdly look at her for sure you know"

Fasmel : "I think it's nothing to worry about. Since she will be with us." Fasmel looked into Kiwi 's eyes.

Mr. Kim paused for a moment.

Kim: "Alright. If you insist. But if the girl cried, try your best to calm her down. She is still a growing child after all."

Fasmel : "She is Kiwi ."

Kim: "Aah... Kiwi ." Then he looks into Kiwi 's eyes.

Kim: "I'm sorry after putting you here okay? How about we go to my place?"

Then we agreed with Mr. Kim. Then Mr. Kim unlocked the chain connected to her right hand. And now she can move freely. Then Fasmel lures her hand to Kiwi .

Fasmel : "As my promise." She smiled at her.

She looks scared.

Fasmel : "Don't worry, I promise I'll be with you."

She looks around for a moment, then she grabs Fasmel 's hand and stands up. She is half or more of Fasmel 's body. Then we walk out to the outside of the basement and see the light of the sun is already bright.

As we keep walking to Mr. Kim's place where he opens up his tavern, people around start to notice us walking with a girl that looks different.

As we keep walking, more and more people look toward us. It made the girl feel uncomfortable and she tried to come closer to Fasmel 's body to hide from people's eyesight.

Fasmel : "Don't worry, Kiwi . They are all not bad people." She pats her head to comfort her.

Arhi : "That's right, Kiwi . We are all friends here. But you need to be careful with someone in front of you." She means me.

Grel : "Can you please not talk."

Arhi : "Uaah... Scary... Do you see that Kiwi ? If you keep talking to" She suddenly got punched in her head to the bottom by Fasmel .

Arhi : "Ouch... Hey, do you want to fight right now!" She sounds so mad.

Fasmel : "Ah sorry my hand slipped for a moment"

Arhi : "You think you can make an excuse with me huh?" She dared Fasmel to hit her again.

Fasmel with an intimidating aura to Arhi .

Fasmel : "Heehh... I remembered you just hit me before, am I wrong?" She smiles but is also scary looking at the same time. Arhi realizes she is dealing with the wrong girl. Fasmel can easily beat her up.

Arhi quickly changed her attitude.

Arhi : "I'm sorry"

Fasmel : "Nice." She is smiling and her scary looks now are gone.

Then after a moment we finally arrive at the front of Mr. Kim's tavern.

Mr. Kim opened up the door and the *Clingcling surprised Kiwi . Fasmel tried to calm her down.

Then as soon as we entered the tavern, everyone inside there stopped talking and staring at us. Of course, we also stopped walking.

Then Mr. Kim's wife came toward us.

Melin: "Waaahh... Who is this cute girl? I have never seen someone like you before."

Then suddenly more people came toward us at the same time and asked about where she was from or who she was, or what her name was.

Kiwi 's eyes become white circles and her mouth is like a cloud. She looks right and left and has no clue how to answer it all by herself. She almost cried.

Kim: "Hey hey stop it. She needs some time for herself so go back to your table."

Then everyone slowly gets back to the table including Mr. Kim's wife while they all still want to talk with Kiwi . It made me feel relieved knowing people here were not intended to be bad people.

Kim: "Alright, you find some tables here. I'll prepare you guys some food." He walked away and left us.

Then we also walked and headed upstairs.

Before we walk up the stairs, a male person is talking to Kiwi .

Person: "Hey girl, if you need something just tell me. I know everything in this kingdom." He smiled at her.

Kiwi just nodded to him. He seems to try to make Kiwi feel comfortable here and it seems to be working. Then he looked at us and gave us a thumbs up. It seems he is saying "Don't worry, I got it". Then I give him a thumbs up. "Thank you."

Then we headed to the second floor. And sit down at an empty table. Kiwi sits down in the corner beside Fasmel . And I was in front of Kiwi and Arhi was in front of Fasmel .

Fasmel : "How do you feel? You aren't scared right?"

Kiwi nodded with a pouting mouth. And humming.

Fasmel pats her head again.

Fasmel : "That's a brave girl isn't she?"

I smile at Kiwi .

Grel : "She is."

Fasmel : "Ooh... How old are you right now?"

While Fasmel talks to Kiwi , Arhi beside me looks at a cat that jumps on the table beside us. Its color is yellow and white.

Kiwi : "I'm 12." She is still pouting.

Fasmel : "Aahh I see... Is your foot still hurt?"

While Fasmel talks to Kiwi , Arhi stands up and pats the cats. Arhi in the background: "Yosh Yosh..." and the cat: "Meow..."

Kiwi shakes her head.

Fasmel : "It's fine then."

Grel : "Is it fine for me to ask you something else later?"

Kiwi gives me a look. And she gives me a nod.

While Arhi cast a level 10 arrow enhancement and was ready to destroy this tavern, in her vision. It is a fake casting just to play along with the cat. Arhi in the background: "Hyaaaah..." She pretended to shoot an arrow toward the cat. The cat also pretended to get hit. The cat turned upside down.

Grel : "If I ask something to bother you, just don't answer it okay"

Kiwi nods and is still pouting.

Then Mr. Kim arrives with many foods for us with his wife.

Kim: "Here you go, enjoy the meal" He put the food one by one on our table. It smells really good.

It made Kiwi eyes wide open and her mouth drool. Seems like she never did something like this before.

Fasmel : "Thank you Mr. Kim I'll pay it later."

Kim: "Don't worry about that." but before he leaves. He looks at Fasmel .

Kim: "Also don't forget. After this. Go to the arena." He smiled at her.

Kim: "You too." He looks at Arhi playing with the cat. But this time the cat bit her in her hands and hung like a hanger.

Arhi : "Yes!" she gives Mr. Kim solid respect like a soldier.

Little did they know, they both will have a hell day.

Fasmel : "Here you go, my promise. Eat until you are full." Fasmel smiles at Kiwi .

Kiwi looks so happy and nodded. And she finally smiled for the first time. Then she grabs one of the food. Her tail wiggled like a happy cat.
