A Deal With Reliance System

The Reliance System had a slight hesitation as it talked about the Refined Physique's part.

"Please tell me, Reliance System!" Yanglin earnestly speaks out what is in his mind. The wake-up call made him understand that stubbornness is not the only thing that keeps his world goes around.

"One moment." Yanglin approached the Spiritual Soul Infant defenselessly. But a step before he stands right before the Reliance System, he had a change of mind.

The Reliance System stuttered after Yanglin seems to be changing his mind. It suddenly lost a part of its composure because the forehead that should be approaching it to receive the system's blessing has now left its reach.

The Reliance System said. Its body seems to look more transparent the longer Yanglin took the time to think about its offer.

"Hmm... Why is your color seems to be fading away? Is there something wrong?" Yanglin continued. It seems his experience in getting treated as a scapegoat and replacement subject to take all the blame helps him right now from getting conned.

"Oh... There's something like this, huh?" Yanglin pinched his chin while another hand supported at the bottom. He looked no different from some con artist that noticed something to be exploited.

"What about... You give me a better deal?" Yanglin smirked while looking at the nervous Spiritual Soul Infant. From the look of it, the infant wanted to keep this physical body materializing. This means the movement, action, flying, and etcetera all cost it some energy to execute.

Wouldn't that means without Yanglin gathering the Spiritual Energy to create the Foundation Pills, it will lose the ability to materialize?

"Ah... Now I realized something. The reason you ate the Blood Foundation Pill was not for fun, but because it will allow you to materialize a while more before I'm out of Spiritual Energy." Yanglin gets more intelligent by the second as he starts to grab more of the Spiritual Soul Infant's weaknesses.

The Reliance System's tone changed. It was apparent that the infant was trying to boss Yanglin around. But it backfired.

<<Half of the Foundation Pills you've refined will be given to me! In return, I'll continue to become the mountain you can rely on!>>

The Spiritual Soul Infant said.

"Half? What if I can only refine one Foundation Pill at a time? One for you, and one for me alternately?" Yanglin chuckled.

<<There's no time! Half is the most I can tolerate. With me as your Spiritual Soul, do you think that's all your potential would be? Have you not think about why you could refine a Blood Foundation Pill and Clarity Foundation Pill at once?>>

The infant tried its best to persuade Yanglin. The arrogance from before was no more as it was on the verge of desperation.

"Fine. I'll trust you this time. Let's cooperate harmoniously, my mountain that I can rely upon." Yanglin smiled and stepped forward until he was just an inch before the Spiritual Soul Infant.

The Reliance System placed its tiny index finger on Yanglin's forehead as a few rows of words were transferred into his consciousness. The process lasts for a few seconds until the infant faded into nothingness.

That barely hearable whisper was all it left before vanishing into thin air.

While in Yanglin's mind, there's a complete book hovering in his consciousness. It was surrounded by a mysterious golden light and caught his attention like a moth towards the flame.

"What kind of Spiritual Gathering Technique is this?" Yanglin reached out to touch that ball of golden light.

The golden light dispersed into a column of words and started to imprinted itself into his mind. By the time Yanglin opened his eyes, he was smiling and panting like he was out of breath.

"Ha... Hahaha... Hahaha!!!" Yanglin laughed like a madman.

"I hope this is not a dream! Let us start small, shall we?"

"Spiritual Siphoning Technique, absorb all the Spiritual Energy around me!" that barren, small toy mountain appeared in between Yanglin's palm. It was sucking the Spiritual Energy inside the wooden hut greedily.
