Chapter 12

[A/N:I write this for fun just read it to pass time.This is a rough draft please comment if you don't like the idea so I can take down this chapter and rewrite it.]

Thor POV

I watched as Ragnar was guided to the great hall where one by one all members gave their allegiance I told him the same thing I told Haraldson "I will help you when you need it. All started preparing for Haraldson's funeral I watching them prepare everything as I heard Athelstan who was confused questioned "Why did you agree to grant Jarl Haraldson such a big funeral ? was he not your enemy."

Ragnar who was looking at the preparations replied "He was also a great man and warrior he earned his renown in this life, and ni in death de deserves such a funeral."Ragnar told Athelstan how one of Haraldson's slaves have willingly chosen to die for his Burial. Athelstan was confused about why the woman would just give up her life.

I patted Athelstan on the Shoulder and said "I know it is cruel but different places have different religious practices."

3rd POV

Athelstan who was troubled by all these thoughts was walking through the Kattegat as he saw Lady Frigga mother of Thor Athelstan only met her when he went to look after Gyda and Bjorn but during that time he had talked a lot about his life to Lady Frigga.

He felt she was really wise and can help him as went towards Frigga who was looking at the sea and greeted "Lady Frigga can I asked you something."Frigga smiled at Athelstand and asked, "So what is that bothers you, Athelstan."Athelstan was hesitant as Frigga continued "Just let it out what is that bothering you so much."

Athelstan nodded let out a breath and said, "Lady Frigga I don't know even with all the bad things I witnessed it still feels Norse religions draws me in I don't know how but every time I think like that I feel I betrayed my Lord. I prayed to the Lord for guidance or a sign but I received none."Frigga understood what is happening as I said "You know your god gave you free will to choose right so it is your choice at the end of the day and I am sure he will not be angered or disappointed in you for choosing to follow another religion also even if you converted to Norse you will still carry some of his beliefs just like some of the converted Christians still hold a part of their culture or belief."

Athelstan who was in deep thought nodded and he looked at Frigga questioned "Are you really the goddess Frigga."Frigga smiled at Atlestand asked, "What gave you that idea young man."

Athelstan explained, "First both of your names but I pushed it off as a coincidence,2nd was Thor's abilities wielding Lighting and last but not least I saw Gyda play with Thor's hammer like it weighed nothing but when Bjorn tried it was like he couldn't move it the only weapon I know from all Floki told me about was Mjolnir."

Frigga was slightly amused and found Athelstan smart as she asked "What if we are."Frigga also decided to cast a spell to make sure Athelstan will never able to tell anyone the secret.

Athelstan who now had his suspicions confirmed by Frigga herself didn't know what to say asked "So what about other gods do they exist."

Frigga knew Athelstan wanted to know about the god of the bible in general as she replied "Young Atlelstan we don't know much about them since we had stopped contact with Midgard for some time now."But Frigga knew for a fact there are other gods out there since she and Odin did in fact meet them during their time on Midgard they were called Yahweh and Ra but they had not started there own pantheon at that time she did see their pantheons when keeping a lookout for the seidr's and found some which would slightly rival Thor but will lose if he uses his Awakened or divine form.Each of the Major Asgardians like Brunhilde, Sig, Frigga had a divine form which is their strongest form making them have a huge power boost.

Frigga thought "I don't want Thor to worry about them for now."

[A/N: Although I did say he will be nerfed to the level of MCU Thor never said he will be same as Thor from MCU also some people suggested adding other pantheons so I needed to slightly boost Thor's strength.]

Thor who came next to us said: "Athelstan every religion has a dark history do you want to see the dark history of your religion."Athelstan slightly gulped and was hesitant but nodded as he wanted to know as Thor decided to show Athelstan visions of people getting Crucified or killed just because they didn't want to follow Christian Thor decided to show him somethings that will happen in the future such as the Crusades, Witch hunts, Inquisition...etc which for the first time Athelstan saw the dark history of Christianity.

Athelstan was pale seeing all the things done in God's name as Thor spoke "You see these things are happening around you."Athelstan nodded and went towards Ragnar's house as he now got answers for all his questions just like Lady Frigga said he had the freedom to choose whatever he wanted.

Athelstan was innocent or naive that why he was taken advantage of by Ragnar and even Eclbert to helping him with their goals so Thor wanted to give Athelstan a place in his keep in Kaupang.

Thor's POV

I after showing Athelstan the visions left to his home but one thing he did notice one thing every time he fought even if it is against a mortal he got a little stronger this confused him a lot since he remembered his wish was nerfed so why was he getting stronger suddenly a voice echoed in his head "Hey Kiddo if you hearing this message that means you have noticed you are getting stronger that is because I didn't nerf your powers completely I just sealed it because the moment you wished for Thor's power I added other pantheons to make fun for you to name a few, Shinto, Egyptian, Greek, Christian pantheon their god after his avatar Jesus sacrificed himself for humans he now no longer interferes with anything similar to Ra (Egyptian god) also he is only strong as Odin which you will be able to achieve in the future and don't worry they are only as strong as your Asgardians the moment you fully involve your self fully they will intervene. Also your Asgardian friends will also get stronger just not as strong as you but still strong.I suggest you eat the golden apples of idunn since they grant you full immortality since some of the weapons these gods have can do some real damage but remember the moment you kill a god you gain their domains."

I smirked a muttered, "Ohh Sig and Val are going to love this since both are really wanted a good fight since they came here."

I got an influx of information on each pantheon as I thought "Interesting gods or deities choose prayers of human as a power source mostly because of the fact human's in these times are easily tricked into believing because of their superstitious nature. Human's prayers feed the gods' immortality and therefore if the humans stop praying, gods become weakened enough to be harmed and killed. As such, the Gods' powers are precariously limited without human prayer also they have other weakness divine weapons can also kill gods I need to discuss this with the others."
