Gang? New Quest

Moving toward the alley from where he heard the gunshot earlier, Bai Shen confidently stepped into the alley, only to be surprised by what he saw.

There were two men bleeding on the ground. One of them was using a huge broadsword and appeared to be fit, while the other was an obese middle-aged man holding a gun.

"What happened here?" Bai Shen's voice shocked the two men, who quickly looked at him in terror.

"Who are you, brat? Don't come closer, or I'll shoot you too!"

From the obese man's words, Bai Shen understood that he must have shot the broadsword user and left him bleeding on the ground, most probably after being stabbed by the latter.

Both seemed to have lost too much blood and were unable to move too much.

"Don't listen to him... He doesn't have any more bullets. I made sure to stab him when I thought he emptied his gun, but this treacherous bastard had another one left, and it pierced my lung..."

The young man who used a broadsword barely spoke these words.

He seemed to be in greater pain than the other man, but even if this was true, the obese middle-aged man didn't make a move on him, probably afraid that he would suddenly rise up from the ground and attack him.

"If I may ask, why did you two fight? Seeing that you know each other and the fact that we're now living in these trying times... I'm really curious about the reason."

Bai Shen spoke as if he were an onlooker, which he was, but more than that, he wanted to find out the truth about what happened.

The obese middle-aged man actually broke into sobs. This surprised Bai Shen, as he had never seen an adult man cry like that.

Special Quest: Your Territory's rule would be affected by the Gang known as Razers.

Objective: Eliminate the gang: Razers.

Reward: 1000 Coins and 1000 Experience! (both for Territory and Host)

'I guess I don't need to think too much about it...' Bai Shen suddenly smiled, sending chills down their spines.

"To be honest with you, I was only interested in this young man from the start. Trash like you who are still using a gun to weaken zombies before finishing them with your dagger are not worthy in my eyes."

Before they could respond, both the young man and obese middle-aged man were stunned to see Bai Shen appearing between them like a ghost.

They had an Agility of 15 at best, the middle-aged man possibly even worse. He couldn't even react when Bai Shen's sword pierced his chest.

"Y-You..." He couldn't even finish his last words before his vision turned black, truly, a tragic fate.

"Stay here... Not like you could move anyway. I'm going to call a friend over; she can heal you, so you won't die yet, don't worry."

Just as quickly as he appeared, Bai Shen disappeared. He was like a ghost, and the young man didn't even register what happened before he was left alone.

'Maybe I really encountered a ghost? But then who killed Roundy just now...?' Thought Zhong Guo after Bai Shen left.

"Diane, come quickly, I need your help to heal someone." Quickly taking Diane, Bai Shen left with her to heal Zhong Guo.

Li Meixue and Little Feng looked at each other at the same time. They didn't say anything and only followed after the two; something must've happened.

When Diane arrived and saw the young man who was bleeding from his chest, she hesitated for a bit.

Looking at Bai Shen, she said, "I can't heal him in this state. The bullet didn't exit from the other side, most probably because of his enhanced Physique."

"I would need to perform an operation on him to take out the bullet before using my Healing."

Frowning a bit, Bai Shen quickly thought of a solution; he went to the side and took Roundy's dagger before heating it up by charging his skill, Fireball.

After taking the dagger in his hand, he turned back to Diane and asked, "Will you do it yourself, or do you want to guide me?"

Diane hesitated for a while but eventually took the dagger from Bai Shen's hand and turned to look at Zhong Guo.

"I need you to trust me and don't move. I know it will hurt, but this is the best thing I can do right now."

Hearing Diane, Zhong Guo weakly nodded at her, "If you can save this worthless life of Zhang Guo, I'll make sure to pay off my debt by doing everything you ask for."

Diane heavily nodded and slowly began her operation. At the same time, Li Meixue and Little Feng arrived there.

Seeing what was about to happen, Li Meixue quickly covered Little Feng's eyes with her hands and directed a meaningful glance at Bai Shen, probably asking him.

'Why didn't you tell me this before, so I wouldn't bring Little Feng here?'

To which Bai Shen responded with a shrug and an intense glare, 'I didn't ask you to follow me; I only wanted Diane.'

In a few minutes, Diane finally succeeded in taking out the bullet that was stuck in Zhong Guo's lungs.

She then began using her Talent, Healing, on the young man. A few minutes later, she finally finished.

With some beads of sweat pouring down on her face, she smiled as she said, "He's fully healed now, everything that he needs is to rest for a few hours."

"His Physique Attribute played a huge role, allowing him to survive a dangerous live surgery."

Nodding at Diane, Bai Shen softly grabbed Zhong Guo before saying, "Please resist a while longer. I'm going to leave you at our base and let you rest for some time."

Finishing his speech, Bai Shen and the others returned to his mansion.

Much to his surprise, the three to four hours spent outside hunting zombies brought him and his Territory over 2000 Coins...

'Before I go to check out those Razers, I can use Create and build those two buildings...'
