"Dammit."
I hissed as I stared at the open door through which the creature had escaped. I then looked at my hand, which was starting to heal the tears and small wounds by itself. The skin that had been crawling up to my fingers had dried up as soon as my hand was detached from the creature and had fallen off as dry patches.
"Why the hell was the door open?"
I turned towards Grey, who was staring into the camera screens, looking for the creature.
Hearing my question, he turned towards me with a frown.
"We needed to override the security protocol... And some doors malfunctioned. They need to be manually closed after being opened now."
"Out of all times-"
Nothing was going my way. I gritted my teeth and looked at the culprit of the current situation. The man was still holding the anti-armour rifle, looking both shocked and horrified at what he had done.
