Chapter 4: Explaining and Quest

I have been swimming for an unknown amount of time and to tell the true, I am lose.

I don't know where am I or which part of ocean am I even in.

I think it has been more then hour I have reincarnated in this world and I didn't even eat once but I didn't feel any hunger to eat any of this fishes or feel tired after swimming non-stop.

(Hey system do you know why I didn't feel any hunger or tired after swimming non-stop?)

Description: Gamer Body -Maneater Version-

Grants a body that allows the user to live the real world like a game but it follow the rule of a game call 'Maneater' instead of other RPG game, making the effect different.

Advantage: Host doesn't require food to stay alive and only need to eat to instantly gain lost HP and regenerate physical damage.

Host body won't get tired and can continuely do many activities for days or more without needing to rest and your stamina won't go down unless host use a curtain abilities or skills

Host can recover from any physical damage including the serious damage like internal injuries, lose of limbs(fins), eyes injury, hearth injury, brain injury and many others as long host is not instantly kill and eat as quickly as possible to recover.

If your heart or brain were to seriously damage, it will stop the recovering of other injuries and focus on those two until both of those return to a functional state.

Disadvantaged: Host can still receive physical damage from attacks and a loss of HP.

If host were to have a bleeding effect from a wound then host is require to continuely eating to regenerate the wound, stoping the bleeding effect and stoping host from continuely losing HP.

The more serious the wound is the more host is require to eat.

Scar will appear if the physical damage is serious like lose of limbs(fins), eyes injuries, deep slash, third and fourth degree burn and other serious physical damage.]

It take Edward a few seconds to completely read the description and understand everything that appear on the screen and his eyes when wide the more he read and understand what does words mean.

(What the heck! That ability is amazing!)

[Host, I remind you that it also has it own disadvantaged]

(I know but the advantaged is just so amazing! As long as I am not instantly kill, I only need to eat to stay alive and I won't get tired or even need to rest.

If I were to have 3 or 4 wound on my body then I only need to eat the same amount as the wound I have to recover. Isn't that OP!)

[No host. You are misunderstood the description. The food or creature you eaten are will be divide for two different purpose. Half will go to your HP to keep you alive meanwhile the other half will got to your body to regenerate the wound but the first priority is your HP

For example, if you were to have 600 HP and your body is wounded then 40% of what you eaten will go to your HP meanwhile the other 60% will go to your body to regenerate the wound but the lower your HP, the more your percentage of it will go to your HP to keep you alive.

The amount and type of wound also play a role in the percentage. For example, if you have multiple wound then the 60% will be divide to how much wound you have to regenerate your body but if you have a major and a normal wound then most of the percentage will go to the major wound while the rest of if will go to the normal wound.]

It take Edward 5 minute to understand what the system was explaining to him.

(I think I understand now but can I control the contribution of the percentage?)

[Yes you can host but it is recommended that host doesn't change the way the food contribution is toward your HP for your safety.]

(Okay then, also does different type of creature I eat give different amount?)

[It doesn't host but it was the size of the creature and amount of food you eat that give different amount.]

(I understand. I guess it is a not a very OP ability but still an amazing one. Since I have nothing to do, I might as well start hunting some fish.)

3rd Pov

Edward notice a big fish among the shoal and he target it for his first kill. He slow down his speed and goes under the fish to avoid getting notice by the shoal and startle the fish and with the help of his stealth ability the fish didn't notice him

Slowly he went near the shoal without any of the fish notice and when he think the distance is close enough.

He immediately swim at his full speed upward toward the fish and open his mouth wide to bite down onto the fish

The fish didn't even get to react until it was too late and it was already in Edward jaw.

Edward slow down his swimming speed and bite down onto the fish hard and start thrash the fish making the wound on the fish to open wide even more and making the fish bleed even more.

Edward keep thrashing until he hear a notification sound did he stop what he is doing but still keep the fish in his jaw.

[Ding, you kill a fish. Gain 10 experience]

(Nice, my first hunt is a success but it feel weird that I didn't feel disgusted by the blood that is inside my mouth and it smell and taste amazing! I WANT MORE!)

Suddenly Edward mind went dizzy and has a feeling of wanting more of the blood and to eat everything but the ability 'gamer mind' kick in and he return to his normal state.

(My head hurt. What happen to me system) ask Edward inside his mind.

[You lost control of yourself because of your race instinct to kill and devour everything in your sight but the gamer system calm your mind and block of the instinct.]

(Thank you for the explanation system. It won't happen again right?) ask Edward.

[No, I won't happen again]

(That is good to know. Well I better is this fish before other predator come for it.)

With that though, Edward open his jaw and bite down onto the fish to turn it into smaller pieces and swallow it down. After that Edward hear again a notification.

[Ding, you have eaten a fish. Gain 5 evolution point.]

(System what is evolution point use for?)

[Evolution point is use to upgrade your body evolution, organs and abilities and skills that is related to your evolution.]

(Oh okay thank you for explaining it me system. Well I gonna continue hunting then.)

With that say, Edward continue on his hunting and eating any fish he notice in his sight.

After 20 minutes he stop on his hunting to check on many Exp and evolve point he gains

[You have kill and eat few amount of fish. You gain 81 experiences and 69 evolution points]

A/N: I won't be writing every stats like previous one and only write the one like this from now on and for other things would be different. Also do you what me to remove the age stat?

(I only need to kill and then I level up) thought Edward excited while swimming.

Suddenly he hear something was moving fast and the sound is getting louder to him and feeling that his sense is warning him, he immediately move fast out of his previous place and see a shark with it jaw open reading to chomp down missed him.

The shark then slow down it speed, close it jaw and turn around to look at Edward meanwhile Edward was surprise by the sudden attack and look toward the shark that ambush him.

He then see information of the shark that is infront of him.

[Race: Spinner Shark

Level: 3

Hp: 300

stamina: 200

Size: 2 meter(6.5ft)

Feeling: Hunger]

Edward was seeing the shark stats and before he could think more about it, the shark rush toward Edward right who seeing this was surprise and didn't have time to dodge and the shark bite his right side.

Edward wince in pain because of the bite and try to escape from it. He wiggle his body to make the shark lose his grip on him.

It work and Edward able to escape and swim out of the shark range and distance himself from the shark

(It hurt dammit. I am lucky that shark teeth can't pierce me deep or I am going to have a bit trouble) thought Edward while watching the shark every move and the shark also did the same.

Suddenly Edward hear a notification from his system.

[Ding, quest alert. Kill the Spinner Shark

Reward: 100 Experiences, 50 evolution points and 200 shop points.

Penalty for failing/escaping: Death]

(Even if the system doesn't show me this quest I am still going to kill this shark for attacking me) say Edward inside his mind.

Edward and the shark is swimming in the circle, watching eachother movement until.....
