Nami started to run towards the town while swearing under her breath. She was both embarrassed and angry about the whole touching thing. Normally she would not have given a damn about this but this incident has annoyed her too much.

She doesn't know why she was aggrieved by this deed. Maybe she doesn't like him or just don't want to be near him however the fear of dying before being able to save her villagers makes her scared.

She wanted to help them before meeting her end by a pirate though she would make sure to put her all effort into saving herself. Her all life went to save her villagers because of this her dream was left and she couldn't even enjoy her life as a woman anymore.

There was a voice in her head that was constantly telling her that she has fallen for him which made her quite mad. She might think he is handsome but she doesn't like him at all. She was constantly telling herself that though some doubts were appearing in herself.

After some running, she finally reached the middle of the town however her stomach made a noise of being hungry.

She looked embarrassed when some people even looked at her. She made her way to a small pub to order something to eat.

However, the thing inside the pub scared her because a dog who she believes is a wolf was attacking a little girl. The girl was crying while her mother was requesting a youth to stop this. Nami wanted to support her but couldn't as she was fearing for her own life. No matter how much she tried she just couldn't bring herself to move from her position.

The people inside the pub were panicking as they didn't want to get the attention of that big dog. They all were cowards who couldn't anything by themselves.

The duo of the mother and daughter were crying aloud however something unexpected happen. The time seems to be stopped for everyone before a silhouette did something. In the next moment, everyone got wide-eyed because of a miracle that happened for the mother-daughter duo.

The dog head fell from his body before the possessor of the dog was kicked on the head. Everything happened in a second that no one could see anything. All they saw the dog fell and the owner who was now buried in the rubbles.

They saw a woman who was in her thirties cleaning her hands before giving the mother of the daughter some money. The boy around her was also trying to make the little girl cry stop which worked for some reason. They both thanked her while crying. People didn't understand why they were saying 'thank you to a woman of unknown origins. They however were happy for the woman and her daughter.

The woman and the boy didn't say anything before walking out of the pub. Nami realised something that following that woman might save her village. She could help her in saving her village.

Everything returned to normal again while she ordered her food. While eating she was thinking about the offer of that Straw hat boy. She was thinking to join him for some time before leaving for her village. She didn't want to get killed before meeting her sister again.

Her fear of Arlong was still there. Whenever she remembers her village she always gets a glimpse of his smiling face which makes her scared. She fears that he might even shorten the time of the deal and she wouldn't be able to do anything then. She has gotten nightmares for many nights in the past while some of them she still sees.

She has a dream in which she wants to make a map of the whole world. She wants to explore everything this world has to offer so she could make it to her map. She found her dream when she was just a little girl who knew nothing about the outside world of her village.

She still remembers the time when she along her sister were living happily with their mother while planting oranges for themselves. She doesn't have to fear anything at that time but everything changed when their mother died and their life became a nightmare.

When she was thinking about all of this a big chaos was happening near the marine base. People were saying that it got attacked by some no-name pirates which made the other people scared. Nami didn't notice it but there were some tears in her eyes while she was eating her food.

The little girl who was working with her mother notices this and remembered how the straw hat boy cleaned her tears. She moved from her position and went to the table of Nami. Nami didn't notice anyone coming near her so she didn't react.

The girl climbed on the table and cleaned the tears of Nami with her small thumbs just like Luffy did to her. Her action shocked many people however the most shocked person was Nami who felt someone touching her eyes.

She looked at the person and found the same little girl who was about to die in the last by that dog. The small girl was giving her a big smile while saying everything is okay. Nami found her comfort in her and asked

"Who taught you this little girl?"

The girl replied while smiling even more

"A big brother with a straw hat helped me that stupid guy threw me off the wall. He told me not to worry about anything and even cleaned my tears".

Her answer immediately made Nami shocked because she couldn't believe that he would protect a girl because he was a pirate and a pirate doesn't help anyone except themselves.

Her appreciation for Luffy increased a lot. She talked with the little girl for some more time before going back to the base of the marines. She has now made up her mind to join him. Unknowingly a small smile spread on her face before fading away.

She finally reached the base where a lot of people were standing outside of the gates.
