Appearing in the realm of Death, Tom saw Lady Death waiting patiently for his arrival, ready to grant his mother immortality at any moment.
"Do it now!" Tom shouts quickly.
Lady Death nods and simply waves her hand casually.
"It's done." She says, causing Tom to sigh in relief.
"She didn't die, right? Did we do everything on time?" Tom asks, still worried for the Ancient One.
"She didn't die, so I guess?" Lady Death says with a shrug of her shoulders.
Knowing that his adoptive mother didn't die was great, but deep down Tom still worried.
'What if we did it too early? Did Dormammu get notified?' He thought as he started pacing from side to side.
Tom couldn't take the suspense any longer, so he willed himself back to where he was, appearing in the ritual room once again.
As he appeared in the ritual room, Tom was met with the same ritual setup, except nothing was lighting up anymore.
Taking a look around for his mother, he found her lying face up in the center of the room with two separate pieces of rope grasped tightly in each of her hands.
"Mom!" Tom exclaimed as he rushed to her side.
When he arrived beside her, Tom checked her breathing and found that she was still alive.
'The ritual must have caused her to pass out.' Tom thought as he waves his hand and levitates her out of the room and towards her quarters. 'It seems that the tables have turned.'
First, he does a ritual and passes out and now his mother has the same happen to her.
Placing his mother in her bed, Tom sat beside her and waited impatiently.
If they did it too early and Dormammu found out, he won't just appear in the sky's of earth, ready to devour it as he does every other world he comes across.
Dormammu would simply learn of the earth's existence and start looking for ways in. Whether that be by force, which will be impossible thanks to the sanctums placed around earth protecting it, or influencing those on earth to help him gain access as he did in the movie.
Even though Tom knew that Dormammu wouldn't just appear out of nowhere, he kept looking out the window and into the sky with a worried expression.
Although he knows how to beat him, Tom doesn't want to have to deal with Dormammu in the first place.
Hoping that his mother will know if it went well, Tom resolved himself to wait patiently at her bedside.
Knowing that he had classes at Hogwarts, Tom sent a message to Druella through the mark, telling her to let the Professors know that he's not feeling well and won't be in class.
After waiting an entire day, the Ancient One stirred as her eyes opened and surveyed the room around her.
The last thing she remembered are the ropes untying themselves, severing her connection to the dark dimension, and then everything went black.
As she looked around the room, the Ancient One sees her adoptive son sleeping on a chair at her bedside.
A small smile creeps on her bald-headed face as she watches Tom sleep uncomfortably on the chair beside her.
Stretching her tired body, the Ancient One hopped out of bed and levitated Tom back to his bedroom.
After tucking him into bed, she gave him a kiss on the forehead and left the room with a small smile on her face.
As she left the room, that happy smile disappeared and formed into a contemplative frown.
All of the worries Tom previously felt were appearing in her mind at this very moment. She truthfully didn't know if they executed everything on time or not.
They definitely weren't late as she would be dead if that were the case, but were they too early?
Since the Ancient One passed out after untying the knotted rope, she had no idea if Dormammu was tipped off or not.
Thinking it over for a moment, she decided to act as if he knows and prepare for a future attack. It's best to be ready for nothing than be unprepared for an attack by someone of Dormammu's power level.
She would not come to regret this decision either.

In a blacked-out dimension of pure darkness, a towering figure loomed in the shadows, surrounded by multicolored energy with menacing purple eyes.
This is obviously the Dread One, Eater of Souls, Keeper of the Mindless Ones, Daddy Dormy, the Great Enigma, Lord of Chaos, and Lord of the Dark Dimension, Dormammu.
A contented smile appears on his giant face, as he just finished devouring an entire dimension's worth of worlds.
The beautiful screams of fear and agony that rung throughout entire planets still fresh on his mind.
Suddenly, the tiniest pulse of deathly energy pierced through the dark dimension, drawing the attention of the giant figure.
"What is that?" His deep voice boomed throughout every corner of the Dark dimension.
Spreading his consciousness and following the energy to where it originated, Dormammu found something truly infuriating.
"How dare that bald head b*tch take from me without permission!" Dormammu's rage and fury shook the dark dimension to its core.
As the Dark Dimension Lords' rage began to simmer, he sets his glowing purple eyes on the world that the thieving woman strives to protect.
"Hmm, earth huh? I can't wait to see the look on her face as I devour her precious world whole!"
