Arriving at Hogwarts

The train honked twice. It indicated that they had arrived at Hogwarts. The three were just thrilled that they had come to Hogwarts. Harry and Will were especially pumped. Harry, because this marked his actual release from his terrible Uncle's torture, and Will because he had actually waited most of his life to come here.

"Finally, I am here.", Will breathed a sigh of excitement, and many other other indescribable emotions.

The three got off of the train. Ash was finally up, and it clung on to the side of Will's robes. Will stroked Ash's head, soothing him.

"Just stick with me.", he told Ash. A phoenix is a highly intelligent beast, and it understood very well what Will had said. It used its talons to cling on more tightly to Will's side, and Will covered him with his robe.

They walked, Harry and Ron by Will's side. All of a sudden, a huge man stood in front of them all.

"Hello there Harry!", Hagrid said.

"Woah!", Ron exclaimed, surprised by Hagrid's sheer size.

"All the first years, follow me!.", Hagrid shouted towards all of the first years.

"Come on now, the boats ain't gonna wait forever.", he said, leading the way through the dark evening with a lamp in his hand. He led them all to the lake in front of the castle like school, which had a lot of boats. He placed the lantern on one of the boats, and slowly each of the boats got filled.

On Will's boats were Harry, Ron and Hermione. The four did not speak to each other, as they were far too engrossed in the scenery. They looked at the vast lake that the school had, and the night light that seemed to shimmer. Very quickly, they arrived at the school itself. It was majestic, and most of the students looked at the school with awe. All of them were exclaiming at it with shock, but Will was fairly quiet through it all. Having lived so luxuriously through out his life (at least this one), so he was not nearly as impressed.

Soon, they arrived at the gathering in front of a huge door. There was no teacher to be visible, so the students started speaking to each other. All of them were speaking about how they were psyched about which House they were going to get segregated into. The crowd was getting restless, being children after all.

Finally, after some time, an old lady had arrived in front of everyone. Seeing a professor arrive, the huge crowd hushed immediately, and looked at the woman.

"Hello students, and welcome to Hogwarts. The start-of-term banquet will begin

shortly, but before you take your seats in the Great Hall, you will be sorted into your houses. The

Sorting is a very important ceremony because, while you are here, your house will be something

like your family within Hogwarts. You will have classes with the rest of your house, sleep in

your house dormitory, and spend free time in your house common room.

"The four houses are called Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Each house has its

own noble history and each has produced outstanding witches and wizards. While you are at

Hogwarts, your triumphs will earn your house points, while any rulebreaking will lose house

points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded the house cup, a great

honor. I hope each of you will be a credit to whichever house becomes yours. Very well then, we shall be starting the sorting ceremony very soon, so please be ready.", as professor McGonagall said this, the huge doors opened, and the students were greeted by the sight that was the great hall of Hogwarts.

"Very well then, you may now enter, Follow me.", Professor McGonagall said, walking in.

Will sighed. "Let's just hope that I get into Gryffindor.", he thought as he walked in.
