Drunk

"Slow down, Jer." Chloe pleaded with Jeremy. As much as she hated the fact that he had ruined their night, she was worried about him. He had drank too much and was now drunk. She held onto him tightly as she tried to lead him out of the restaurant towards where he had parked his car. 

"Don't walk too fast! You will trip." She snapped at him and wrapped her hands around his waist, trying to keep him from walking further. 

"I loveeee youuuu, my love-ly girl-frienddd." He said it seriously, using his hands to cup her face. "I loveee you. I love you. I love youuuuu." His voice grew louder with each confession, embarrassing her further since there were people in the hallway staring at them. Some were laughing, while some called him cute. 

"I am going to kill you, Jeremy Williams!" She said it through gritted teeth. 

He began to giggle and speak drunkenly. "I don't mind dying at your hands. But you have to look after Ellie, promise me." He left her face and stuck out his pinky finger. 

"Pinky swear!" He wiggled his finger as he waited for her to link hers with his, but she didn't. 

"Come off it. I won't kill you. But you have to come with me. Did you book a hotel room earlier?" 

He nodded. 

"Do not dare fall asleep!" She warned him when she noticed his eyes were closing. If she knew he was going to be so nervous about tonight, she wouldn't have pushed him too much. She had noticed something was wrong when he gulped the first glass of wine and then the second. He had continued to assure her he was fine, but she knew he was a lightweight.  Now look at them.

"Which hotel is it?" 

"It is..." He looked serious as if he was trying to tell her a secret before he began to giggle. "... a ho-tel." He completed his sentence, causing her to sigh in frustration. She had to accept the fact that today was over. 

"I'll take you to my place and put you to bed. Got it?" 

Instead of answering, he reached for her face to touch it. 

"You... are so pretty. Why... do you look like... my girlfriend?"

"Shut up and get your hands off my face before I bite your finger off! God, why are you so heavy? Please move—"

"Neighbour?" 

Chloe turned towards the voice and saw Will, or whatever his name was. He was her new neighbour. Seeing him brought a bitter taste to her mouth because she remembered this morning. Not only had he woken her up from her sleep, he had also seen her half-naked and acted like he hadn't seen anything. 

She tried to imagine it was Jeremy who had seen her that way. Despite the fact that she was dating Jeremy, he would have screamed his lungs out and covered his eyes before telling her she was half-naked. But no. This pervert continued the conversation like it was a normal thing to do! 

Will looked like he was on a date with a girl. The girl stood beside him and looked at her curiously. 

"You need help?" Will asked, his cheeks a little flushed. 

Chloe was so disgusted she couldn't stare at him for another second. 

"NO!" She replied rudely before turning to Jeremy. 

"Please don't fall asleep on me. Try to walk, hmm?" She whispered sweetly to him.

When she took a step, she stumbled and almost fell from Jeremy's weight, but saw that Will was already holding onto Jeremy for her. 

"You do need some help." Will said it seriously and threw Jeremy's hand around his shoulder before holding him close.

"Wait for me inside. I'll be back soon." Will said to his date who nodded and looked at Chloe one last time before she turned to head in. 

"WHO ARE YOU?" Jeremy asked, his voice sounded alert when he suddenly saw an unfamiliar man holding him.

"Where are you taking me to? Where is my girlfriend? Chloeee! Nooooo!" 

"Oh God!" Chloe wished the floor would open up and swallow her. She was never going to allow Jeremy to have a sip of alcohol again. 

Never.
