Side Story 35: Another For My Collection

At another part of the battlefield, Hua was surfing her sword while Melusine just flew with her. They found their respective targets and it was a green haired man and a pink haired... Something. (pic)

"Lancer, go and beat that guy up my Loli dragon! And that... Trap." Hua furrowed her brows as she noticed that the other rider class servant was a guy that looked really feminine.

"Yes, my master." Melusine's eyebrows twitched at being called a Loli dragon. She is Albion's incarnation after all, a dragon. And she is also a proud knight of the fairy round table.

Melusine's mana skyrocketed and jets of pure mana were used as propulsion. Her wings flapped and she was dead set on the green haired man.

The said target, rider of the red faction noticed the red jet coming at him and dodged with his all. Using his extreme speed, even though he was said to be invulnerable except his heels. He did not want to risk it.

"Well met, riders of the black and red team. I am lancer of the silver faction, please die without any problems." Melusine introduced herself with a straight face and her clock hand like weapons flew right at them as if it has a will of its own.

"Tch, this lancer is gonna be troublesome. Oi! Black, truce?" Achilles looked at Astolfo and was sure that they needed to team up to even try and fight Melusine who can fly and is extremely mobile.

"Hah, I got no choice then." Astolfo shrugged and they parried Melusine's weapons as much as they could. The floating weapons then returned back to her and she pointed it at them, giving them a bad feeling.

"Disappear, please." Energy gathered at the tip like a particle cannon and it suddenly fired a beam at them.

The two immediately ran away and the beam hit the ground. A sphere of destructive energy erased anything it hit and the two chuckled nervously at her ridiculous firepower.

Melusine then used her jets of mana, appearing beside Achilles. She swiped at him with her unique weapon and made him fly. But she felt a lot of resistance.

"Master, that guy is cheating. I tried cutting him in half and my weapon hit him, but it was like it was refusing to be cut." Melusine informed Hua as she parried Astolfo's attacks while looking at her master.

"Hmmm, Ein did put information in our heads that they're some kind of legend? Let me test it out myself then." Hua gave a smile and pulled a spear out of nowhere, brandishing it menacingly. Showcasing her divine mastery with weaponry.

Hua stomped on the ground and appeared right in front of Achilles that just recovered from his flight. She then smacked him on the head really hard with the spearhead and buried him deep on the ground.

"Huh? He really is hard as hell. Hmm, who was that guy who is invulnerable again?" Hua put her hand on her chin and was thinking really hard about trying to discern his identity.

Achilles retreated immediately and shook his head out of the dizziness. Surprised that he still took damage from Hua's attack even though she didn't use a weapon that could pierce through his divine defense.

"Ahhh! You're that guy!" Hua pointed at him as if she suddenly had a great discovery. Achilles frowned and gulped a mouthful of saliva. Thinking that Hua would definitely target his weakspots now.

"You're Paris! Ain't that right? Man, you sure done goofed when you were alive. Getting hit with an arrow to the knee! Kyahahaha, what a dumbass." Hua laughed hysterically and Achilles was furious.

The veins on his neck and forehead dilated as his blood pressure skyrocketed. He didn't even bother and started attacking Hua immediately.

Hua parried his attack and gave a smirk. "Hoh? You mad, Paris? Some guy shot you on the knee while you were taking a dump or something? Kyahahaha!" Hua kicked him on his chest and Achilles glared daggers at her.

"Oh boy, is she doing that on purpose?" Astolfo asked Melusine while they were clashing and she shook her head. As Hua asked her with their mental link about his identity. Not really knowing who he is.

Achilles then darted around the battlefield. Trying to confuse Hua that was just standing there. She just smirked and looked him in the eye while he was running.

"Impossible!" He frowned heavily and Hua gave him a thumbs down. Clearly not impressed by his display of speed. A chain then grabbed his leg and Hua pulled him.

"Those kinds of tricks don't work on me boy, you should fight like a real man. Let me show you how." Hua then decked him on the face as she tethered him to her.

He felt the world darken as his brain got concussed. Hua then whipped the chain up and slammed him onto the ground.

"You fight with your fists or your weapons head on! Show me your skills, Paris!" Hua challenged him and Achilles gritted his teeth.

"I am a hero... A hero that faced armies on my lonesome! Don't look down on me!" Achilles held tight onto his spear and lunged at Hua.

"Good! Good! Don't be a pussy and fight!" Hua laughed and started trading blows with Achilles with their spears.

Achilles chanelled everything he knows on how to battle. But he was of course outmatched, Hua spars with Fu Hua every time and they had mastery on their body and weapons like no other.

"Good effort! But let me teach you how to wield a spear, Paris." Hua spun her spear and stabbed him thousands of times in a second. Making his bones strain under his muscles and skin.

The heroic spirit coughed up blood and smiled. Happy to know that he was fighting a warrior that was unequaled and unrivaled.

"Next is limbs!" Hua threw her spear to the side and started a chain of attacks on him like he was a sandbag. Ending it by channeling her energy onto her fist and uppercutting him. Turning him into a shooting star.

"Fuhhh, that guy Paris is going to go places. Though Sushang was more talented than him." Hua sighed in satisfaction.

"Achilles... He isn't an unparalleled warrior, but seeing him getting trashed like that. My heart as his teacher bleeds." The archer of black, Chiron frowned. Seeing his student getting schooled.

"Now that master had her fun, it's high time to get rid of you." Melusine looked back at Astolfo and the pink haired trap smiled at her. "Can't we talk about this?"

Melusine flew high in the sky and shone with bright lights. Everyone then saw that she transformed into a more draconic form.

She held her weapon and it arced yellow energy. Melusine then positioned herself for a javelin throw. "Hollow heart, Albion!" Her cute voice resounded.

And with the release of the weapon, a magic circle appeared behind her. A massive javelin cut the air and it was coated thickly with destructive energy. An anti-world noble phantasm.

"Hehe~ I'm in danger." Astolfo chuckled nervously and just stood in his spot. Accepting his inevitable fate.

The javelin crashed onto the ground and exploded grandly. And Astolfo was defeated soundly, he wasn't that strong as well. Even at his peak, so the trap couldn't resist the overwhelming firepower.

"Hmm, I wonder if I put Astolfo in a swimsuit that hides his junk. Will the whales go crazy for him? I have to admit, his voice and face is too girly. It will probably work." Ein contemplated and Tora gave him a thumbs up.

"Even I didn't know that was a guy, dad. He was too far so I couldn't get his scent. People from back home will go crazy over that guy. As they say, if there's a hole, there's a way." Tora nodded sagely and Ein raised a brow.

"Damn, shouldn't have introduced them to the internet so soon. It truly is the stuff of nightmares." Ein gave a wry smile and shushed Tora.

"What are your plans? Why are you taking the servants that are defeated?" Jeanne squinted her eyes. And if they had anything nefarious planned, she would stop them with everything she had even if it results in her death.

"Awww, do you think so low of us? We're just gonna use them a bit to earn some money. And to make the people happy, it will be a field day. People will get to know some famous people, their idols you know?" Ein smiled and Tora nodded.

"They'll be exploited for entertainment is what he meant. Though they will be far better off with us than with maguses." Alfia sighed and was getting tired mentally.

"I can't let you do that! I am the ruler of this holy grail war. And this surely violates some kind of rule..." Jeanne was obstinate and Ein just shrugged.

"Of course it's violating some rules. The fact that we're here with servants that are fully alive is one. But don't get your panties in a twist Jeanne. Rules are made to be broken. Following the rules, look where that got you." Ein gave a genuine solemn smile at her and Jeanne bit her lip.

"You're used to being told what to do, how about you be a good girl and just watch the things unfold?" Ein challenged her views and Jeanne was about to sit back down.

But she suddenly whipped her flagpole onto them, though it was quickly stopped by Tiamat that was really sensitive to threats and was about to lunge on her.

"Oops, stop right there Tia, she doesn't really have any bad intentions. Calm down and have a treat, it's really good you know?" Ein gave Tiamat a cookie and she nibbled on it like a squirrel.

"She's good? She doesn't want to hurt me?" Tiamat was new to all the talking business and her vocabulary needed some work. Ein gave a frown at her words and felt a bit mad that she was like a battered wife that was too submissive.

"Yeah, but it's good that you protected yourself too. But don't go too overboard okay?" He patted her head and Jeanne was confused.

"That's it, girl. You shouldn't be too stiff and just think of your duty. Live a little, they'll be going on a vacation. You've been dead for centuries and you still think of duty and stuff." Ein sighed at Jeanne's mentality. Even Kallen wasn't that bad.

"Anyways, let's just watch them fight some more. This is grade A entertainment." Ein took out some popcorn and looked at Tora. She nodded as her cat ears twitched.

"Let's go my noble steed! Hiya!" Tora sat down at Gilgamesh's shoulders and the king of Uruk sighed. They then went to the battlefield to search for their opponent.

"Guhahaha! That golden armor! The 2nd best sense only after myself. Karna!" Gilgamesh opened his gates of Babylon and fired his treasures at him.

"Gilgamesh, the king of Uruk. This will be a big problem." Lancer of black, Vlad the impaler furrowed his brows.

"The very first hero of legends. Well met, it seems you are summoned by a competent master." The lancer of red team, Karna. The son of the sun stared at Tora. Feeling the ungodly powers coming from deep inside of her.

"Hmm, yes. Normally, I would not allow a god to be my master. But they are quite different, reallyyyyy different." Gilgamesh gave a wry smile as Tora held on to his hat. Still seated on his shoulders comfortably.

"Hey~ doesn't that guy feel like a little brother?" Quetzalcoatl pointed at Karna as they both have divinities related to the sun.

"Enough talk, Karna. How about we get rid of that eyesore first?" Gilgamesh looked at Vlad and opened the gates of Babylon once again. A golden chain shot out of one of the portals and wrapped around him. Gilgamesh then gestured with his hand and Vlad was thrown away like garbage.

"He would've been a nuisance, but couldn't you at least have given him a dignified death instead?" Karna raised a brow at Gilgamesh's actions.

"That was necessary, now fight! I wanna see a brawl!" Tora pulled on Gilgamesh's ear and pointed at Karna.

"Yes, yes. Geez master, watch out for the hair. It takes time to look this good you know?" Gilgamesh sighed, taking out his axe and book.

And as a caster, he of course started casting his spells with multiple staves and wands. Firing lightning, ice, and water at Karna. As fire wouldn't really work on the guy.

Karna just tanked the spells, as he is very durable because of one of his noble phantasms. The armor that he dons that blocks 90% of all incoming damage. And because Ein gave them their full power, he was basically invincible with it.

"You are called the sage-king, are you not? Then do fire off stronger spells than this. It won't be effective against me." Karna twirled a spear on his hand.

"Brahmastra Kundala!" He then threw it at Gilgamesh and it burned into flames. Incinerating everything on its way as it embodied his mana burst of flames.

"Guhahaha! Those are fighting words you're spouting!" Gilgamesh created a barrier and Karna's noble phantasm hit his shield. Like a huge laser, everything that wasn't behind Gil got evaporated instantly.

"Whewww! Lucoa, he could certainly rival your fireworks!" Ein and Tiamat watched on as they ate some popcorn.

"Tche~ master's father. I haven't used my noble phantasm at full power you know? But he really is like a little brother. Can we keep him? Though this battle might go either way." Lucoa smiled and was interested on how they will fight.

Karna was impressed that Gilgamesh blocked his attack with magecraft. "You do deserve your title as the sage-king. Impressive, but can you fight in close combat? Let us try your skills in battle, oh king of Uruk." Karna used his mana burst behind him like Melusine and launched himself at Gilgamesh.

"Tsk, this guy is troublesome. Master, can you get off me for like a second?" Gilgamesh couldn't fight well with Tora on him and his master pouted, but she understood.

"Fine..." Tora got off of him, but Karna was quickly approaching and Gilgamesh won't be able to defend himself. "Hey, that ain't fair. Go back for a bit." Tora's legs were filled with power as her muscles contracted.

She appeared to have teleported right in front of Karna and she gave a spartan kick right at his chest. Karna lost the air in his lungs and crashed right back at the ground at breakneck speeds. Travelling hundreds of kilometers a second, sundering the ground and turning it into a smoldering mess.

"Okay, caster. Go and cast swords! I wanna see it again, it's just like Ana-nee's noble phantasm!" Tora went to the side and cheered for her servant.

Karna quickly healed himself up and was amazed by Gilgamesh's master. "Gilgamesh, are you sure your master should just be on the side? Her strength is off the charts." Karna coughed up some blood as he healed himself some more.

"Ohhhh! Lucky! Caster's master would be a great person to have Lucha Libre with. I'm so jealous." Quetzalcoatl wanted to have a brawl with Tora.

"Hoh? Then be a good girl and I'll let someone fight with you later." Ein patted her head and looked at Alfia. As Quetzalcoatl will be a good sparring partner for her.

Alfia frowned and shook her head quickly. But Lucoa looked at her master and smiled. "Master~ I'm gonna teach you all about Lucha Libre later!" Lucoa hugged Alfia and she facepalmed.

Gilgamesh took hold of his book and casted a spell. A magic circle appeared at the sky and lightning fell on Karna who was now fully healed up.

Karna dodged and weaved through the spell, but was hit by lasers that fired behind Gilgamesh. A barrage of spells pelted the demigod, but he powered through and just bulldozed through the spells with his durability.

He swung his spear at Gilgamesh and the blonde was in a pinch. As he might know how to fight, but he wasn't particularly the best with it.

"You really are quite ridiculous." Gilgamesh filled his muscles with mana to keep up with Karna's better speed.

Parrying and dodging the attacks with his clairvoyance. While weaving spells in between to hinder Karna's movement and attacks.

"I could say the same, you are predicting my moves very efficiently." Karna replied and stabbed his spear with a mana burst. Flames bursted out of the tip of his weapon and Gilgamesh was forced to retreat.

Karna was about to use his noble phantasm again, but roots suddenly sprouted and immobilized his limbs. "Behold, all these creations of mine!" Gilgamesh opened his gates of Babylon and hundreds of cannons whirred as he supplied them with magical energy.

They then fired javelins of light, the noble phantasms launched numerous attacks at Karna. Raining down at him as he got buried by explosions.

A spear then suddenly pierced the dust cloud and Gilgamesh had to make a hasty barrier. The sky bursted into flames and Karna dusted himself off.

"Do not be mistaken, Gilgamesh. I am a heroic spirit and I am not afraid of taking on countries. Even if it is yours." Karna stood tall and looked at Gilgamesh that had slight singes on his clothing.

"Hahaha, that is true. So how about we kick things up a notch?" Gilgamesh opened his gates. Golden ripples appeared behind him and numerous weapons of legend started showing up.

"Hmmm, that's more like it king of Uruk! Let us fight without restraints!" Karna used mana burst and leaped, going straight for Gilgamesh.

The weapons fired off at Karna like artillery. Golden traces of light shimmering in the night. Sparks then appeared as Karna tried parrying all of them, but he was quickly overwhelmed and was pinned down back to the ground.

Gilgamesh started falling down and he took out a sword instead of his unwieldy axe. Karna was injured, but he could walk it off.

They then ran at each other while the gates still casted spells. "A worthy opponent! Our battle will be legendary!" Karna shouted out as their weapons clashed.

Gil's spells then fired while he retreated, but he didn't wait and sent out more noble phantasm at Karna's position.

"Agni!" A burst of flames slowed down the weapons and Karna launched himself at Gil, using his better speed to get close.

Gilgamesh clicked his tongue and parried his blows, but Karna broke his guard with a burst of flames that erupted from this spear.

Karna activated his noble phantasm and was about to blast Gilgamesh to kingdom come. But a golden chain wrapped around Karna's arms and he lost power due to his divinity.

"Hah, you really are a ridiculous opponent. Making me use these chains." Gilgamesh sighed and shook his head.

"The chains of heaven... I see, they are something else. I can feel my divinity being sealed." Karna frowned and Gilgamesh aimed numerous noble phantasms at him again.

"So what will it be? I think you will lose this with all of these hitting you." Gilgamesh smirked and Karna smiled in satisfaction.

"Not yet, you are truly a being that deserves my best. Gilgamesh, looks like bringing you down isn't enough with Brahmastra Kundala." Karna raised his hand and an overwhelming red aura got released from his body.

"I will need overwhelming power to defeat you!" Karna's golden armor burned into flames and turned into a black sword spear. The battlefield got evaporated from the extreme heat.

"Remember my name, I am Karna. The son of Surya and Kunti! This is my greatest attack!" The flames spread and it was like the sun descended from the sky.

"Bring it on!" Gilgamesh took out a unique weapon out of his gates. A cylindrical one with red circuits on it that started to spin.

"Know the mercy of the king of the gods!" Red hot energy gathered at Karna like a raging storm. Ready to be released at a moment's notice.

"I shall perform this final blow as a parting gift to you!" Red lightning arced as the weapon spun. Swirling with violent energy, reality was starting to strain from the noble phantasm.

"With this single strike, I shall inflict extinction!" Karna pointed the sword at Gilgamesh and smiled.

"I will tell you of the beginning. Heaven and Earth split, nothingness congratulated creation, my Sword of Rupture cleaved the world!" Gilgamesh's Ea shone brightly at the tip, he smiled at him as well.

"Be reduced to cinders! Vasavi Shakti!" A beam of energy that arced lightning everywhere fired. Incinerating anything that on its way.

"Mortar of the stars, heaven's hell is the eve of creation's celebration. Now you shall die and be silent... Enuma Elish!" Gilgamesh pointed Ea at Karna and the fabric of reality seemed to scream at the firing of the weapon.

Both noble phantasms clashed midway, the sword of genesis and the divine spear of light struggled for supremacy. Both combatants putting as much mana as they could at their attacks.

But in the end, Ea is stronger than Vasavi Shakti. As it is a weapon embodying the split of heaven and earth.

"Hmph, I have lost. This battle has been the greatest one I have fought, oh king of heroes." Karna smirked and closed his eyes. Accepting his defeat as Ea's energy washed over him.

Gilgamesh then kneeled on the ground, panting. Overexerting himself to give as much power to Ea.

"Good work, caster! You now have the right to drink the marvelous tea that one of my mothers have brewed." Tora handed a tea cup to Gilgamesh and nodded in satisfaction at the impressive battle.

"T-thanks, I guess." Gilgamesh didn't know how to react. As he was a demigod that even the gods couldn't just treat him like a common man.

"Ahhh, lancer ga shinda. Though he did put up a good fight, I approb." Ein gave a thumbs up and Quetzalcoatl was dissatisfied, as there wasn't enough wrestling and fists involved.

"Kekeke~ my list of servants are quickly rising! Go my progeny! Collect all of the good servants for daddy! But leave that old guy Vlad. I don't want him." Ein rubbed his hands and cackled madly.

Jeanne frowned and still thought that he was the villain here. Having nefarious plans for the servants. But she couldn't do anything and just enjoyed the good tea. "I-it's not bad to indulge yourself from time to time." Jeanne sighed in satisfaction at the immaculate taste of the beverage.
