Hilary's Birthday

Noah's next few days of tough shooting started. "Agent Cody Bank" is an action comedy film, so he has to exercise his body to be able to perform action scenes.

He was tortured by the casting director for a few days. He remember when the casting director first saw him, he said:

"A fine lad, but you have to exercise a little. Cody banks in the movie is an agent, not a milk boy."

Hilary laughed at himself a lot after that day. So he decided to grow muscles, but no matter what, his body doesn't get fat and neither grows muscle. So he has been tortured a lot recently. But the results are still passable, at least he is able to perform jumping or running scenes without getting out of breath.

The days of shooting went on by. The shooting was almost half complete. Today, they are on a holiday and there is no shooting due to technical issues on the set. So he and Hilary went to roam outside. They both are of same age, so the most of the time, they are together.

"Noah, come here quickly. You are so slow." came Hilary's loud voice.

"Hey, it's not me who's slow, I am full of your shopping bags." said Noah in a annoyed tone, but was not angry.

They were roaming in a mall as today was Hilary's birthday. It was her first birthday away from home, so she was feeding unwell. Noah decided to take her out to play, but now he has become Hilary's hanger.

"Noah look here's a guy singing."

Noah went to Hilary and saw a person was singing in the middle of the mall. They stopped to listen to the music. Suddenly, an idea came to his mind and he went to the guy singing and spoke to the person standing nearby him, who seemed to be a part of the band.

After the guy finished the song, his friend spoke something in his ear and he smiled. He looked at the crowd and said:

" Ladies and gentlemen, there is a special performance next. So please be patient and listen to it." saying that, he handed the mike to Noah who doesn't know when he came to his side.

Noah took the mike, "Today is the birthday of my friend. Although we have not known each other for a long time, but she's been a great friend to me. So here's a song for you."

Saying that, he signaled toward Hilary in the crowd who was blushing. She didn't even know when Noah went to the stage. So she lowered her head but her cheeks were red. Noah didn't let everyone wait for long and starting singing a song. It was Celine Dion's famous iconic song, "You've got a friend"

As he finished singing, there were cheers and shouting from the crowd. Noah's acting may only be good, but his singing is as good as his appearance. All the instructors Theo hires for him say that his voice conveys pure emotions and anyone can relate and immerse in it. Although he also sings pop music or in high notes, but he prefers low notes as he can convey his emotions better in them.

Hilary was also stuck stunned among the cheering crowd, she didn't even know that Noah's voice was so beautiful and melodious. But there was one more gaze in the crowd as her, but no one seemed to notice it.

Noah got off the stage and came to her. He flickered on her forehead, "Hey dumb, where are you lost."

"I am not dumb." Hilary immediately retorded but then said: "Anyway, why you didn't tell me that you can sing? and why have you not released your own music?"

"You didn't ask me if I sing and as for being a singer, I will soon release my album. OK now let's go." then he took a box from a bag: "It's for you."

Hilary took and opened it. It was a platinum braclet inlaid with a small diamond in middle.

"It's beautiful." she jumped up and looked up at Noah, "When did you bought it?"

"When you were busy buying the while mall."

"I was not buying the while mall." Hilary jumped up like a cat whose fur was scratched.

"OK, I was just joking. Now let's go. It's already very late."

After that, Noah and Hilary left the mall together.
