Alexander pov
I parked the car beside the theater, and we went inside. I let her choose the movie she wanted to see, and she chose an action-romantic movie. She asked me if we could watch this movie with sparks in her eyes, and how could I say no to her. I told her to wait for me as I went to buy the tickets. There weren't many people there, which is good. After buying the tickets, I bought some snacks and went back to her. We entered the hall and took our seats. Shortly after, the movie started, and she gave all her attention to it. She looks excited to watch the movie. But I want her attention on me. I never thought there would be a day when I would feel jealous of a movie. She seemed to have felt my gaze on her, and her cheeks and ears turned red.
"Alexander."
Damn, my name sounds so sexy on her lips. How sexy would it sound when she moans my name? Shit, stop, Alexander.
"Yes, butterfly," I said.
"Th-the movie has started."
"I know," I said without taking my eyes off her, and she bit her lips.
She didn't say anything more and gave her attention back to the movie. We watched the movie, or I should say she watched the movie, and I watched her. I took in her every detail. Her eyes change emotions in every scene in the movie. She took her pink bottom lip between her teeth as an intimate scene came. I want to kiss her. I want to be the one to bite her lips. I took a deep breath to control my desire. My butterfly doesn't even know what her actions are doing to me. It was a three-hour movie. But it ended in a blink of an eye. After the movie ended, we went out of the hall and went to the car. It was lunchtime, and so I drove to a restaurant. We had our lunch while making small talk. After lunch, we got into the car and she asked,
"Where is our next destination?"
"You will know soon," I said, and started driving.
After driving for an hour, I stopped the car in front of a bookstore. When she saw the bookstore, she looked at me confused. I got out of the car, and so did she. As we were entering the bookstore, she asked,
"What are we doing here?"
"You love books, right?" I asked, and she nodded.
"Choose the books you want. I will buy them for you as an apology for not coming that day."
"It's okay. You don't have to-"
"I told you I would make up for it. If you can't choose, then how about the whole bookstore?" I said, and her eyes widened.
"No, I will choose," she said, and walked to the bookshelves.
I walked behind her and watched her looking into the books on the shelves with excited eyes. After going through the shelves for a while, she seemed to have found the book she wanted but hesitated to take it and kept glancing at me. I looked at the book she kept looking at and stifled a laugh. My lovely butterfly doesn't want me to know the books she read. Okay, as my butterfly wishes.
"I will check some books on other shelves. If you find the books you want, take them to the salesman, okay?" I said, and she nodded and looked relieved.
I went to the other side and saw her through the bookshelves, picking up the smutty romance books as quickly as possible. I chuckle at her cuteness. After picking up the books, she took them to the salesman and told him to pack them quickly. The salesman was around forty years old and looked at her in shock as he was packing the books. She looked down in embarrassment. After the man was done packing, I went to her and paid for the books. I took the bag, and we went outside of the store. She went inside the car, and I placed the books on the backseat and sat in the driver's seat.
"Thank you for the books," she said, and I smiled.
"Are you happy?" I asked
"Yes," she said, smiling.
"Glad to hear it."
"Is there anywhere you want to go?" I asked, and she tilted her head in confusion.
"It's early evening. Where do you want to spend the evening?" I asked again. She seemed to think for a moment, and suddenly her eyes lit up, and she said,
"Can we go to the beach? I want to see the sunset," she said excitedly.
"Okay, let's go to the beach then," I said, and started driving.
I drove to the beach and parked the car. We stepped out of the car, and the smell of the sea filled my nostrils. People were walking on the beach. She looks excited and happy. A beautiful smile was on her lips. I saw an ice cream van and remembered that she loves ice cream.
"Wait a minute," I said, and went to the van.
I bought a chocolate ice cream cone and went back to her. Her eyes lit up when she saw the ice cream in my hand. I gave her the ice cream.
"Thank you," she said and took it.
"What about you? Where is yours?" she asked.
"I don't like sweets."
"Oh, but you should try. It's delicious." I smiled and said,
"I will one day."
She smiled, and we made our way to the beach. We stood in an empty space and watched the sea waves.
"You like the beach?" I asked, and she nodded.
"Yes."
"I like the sounds of waves, and I like the color of the ocean too. Also, you can see a beautiful sunset on the beach."
"How about mountains?"
"I like them too, but I prefer the beaches more," she said.
Noted. I need to buy a beach house. She was eating the ice cream cutely, and there was a little ice cream on the corner of her lips. I held out my hand and wiped it with my thumb, then licked it while looking into her eyes. She froze and blinked. Her face had turned red. I smirked at her reaction.
"You are right. It's delicious," I said.
"Wh-what a-re you do-ing?" she stuttered.
"There was some ice cream on your lips."
"Ohh, thanks," she mumbled.
"Ahem, Wh-what about you?" she asked.
"What about me?"
"Beach or mountain?"
"Beach." I like whatever you like.
"We have this in common," she said, and I nodded. After eating the ice cream, suddenly, she took off her heels. I looked at her, confused.
"I want to walk beside the sea," she said. She took her heels in her hand and went to the seashore, and I walked behind her.
She went to the shore and let the waves hit her feet. The wind was blowing her hair, making her look breathtaking. After some moments, she started walking beside the shore, and I walked beside her. A cold breeze touched us, making her shiver. I took off my coat and put it on her shoulder. She muttered a quick thank you. We started our walk again. As we walked alongside, our hands brushed against each other, which made my hand itch to interwind our hands. The urge to hold her hand increases each time our hands brush. Would she feel uncomfortable if I held her hand? Not able to resist the urge, I held her hand, and, to my surprise, she held mine back.
"Are you happy?" I asked.
"Yes, it has been a long time since I came to the beach."
"Thank you," she said.
"You don't have to thank me. I will do anything to make you happy," I said, and her cheeks turned red. The sun is setting. The sky has turned orange, and it looks magnificent.
"Woah, so pretty," she said, looking at the sunset.
"Do you like sunsets?" I asked.
"I love sunsets."
"It's pretty, and also because the sunset gives us the proof and hope that the ending can be beautiful too," she said. Suddenly, she moved in front of me with our hands still together and gave me her most beautiful smile.
"I told you about myself a lot, but you didn't tell me anything about you," she said, and walked backward as I walked forward.
"What do you want to know about me?" I asked.
"Everything," I smiled at her words. She gave me my word back.
"You know about my family, and my life is pretty boring, as all I do is just work. Aaron is my friend, and I have another friend named Owen, and he is dying to meet you. I will let you meet them one day," I said.
"Anything else you want to know?" I asked.
"Umm, do you only wear tuxedos?" she asked, and I frowned.
"Where does that come from?" I asked.
"I'm curious. I always saw you in tuxedos. That's why I'm asking."
"I have casual clothes, but I wear them only at home," I said.
"Ohhh," she said.
"Anything else?"
"Not for now, but I will ask you later."
"Okay, as you wish, my lady," I said, and she giggled and I smiled at her.
We watched the sun disappear into the sea. I think today I have made a place in her world. Like the sunset, our ending will be beautiful too. And the ending will be none other than you staying in my arms forever.
